Man I LOVE IndyCar. I wish I knew more people that were into it, but people just don’t get it or never heard. Just to find out they only heard about NASCAR or F1. My dad was first introduced in the late 90’s by a friend he knew that had an extra ticket and he went. He thought they were just normal go-karts, and didn’t know anything about racing. Well obviously he was wrong. Since that day he has liked it ever since. Then he introduced it to my mom 20 years ago and she’s been into it ever since. So I pretty much grew up ‘into’ it, didn’t care for it much up until the last few years (especially this year). Hated the loudness of the cars and how hot it would get at Indy and Mid-Ohio. Those were the only 2 races we’ve ever been to because location wise, it’s close. We would love to go to Road America. I’m really interested in Long Beach and St. Pete. We plan to go eventually if money wasn’t such an issue. I actually went to Mid-Ohio this year with my dad and I forgot how awesome it was to go to IndyCar races. Hadn’t gone to one since 2017 and it was also Mid-Ohio. But It was such a last minute decision. Great race and I even ended up getting an autograph from Scotty Mac on my BusBros shirt, a picture, and even a small conversation. Really nice guy, he’s definitely a favorite. Also got a picture with Graham Rahal, Kirkwood, and Herta. I honestly wasn’t expecting to have that opportunity on race day especially AFTER the race, but I was at the right place at the right time. Plus it seems to be easier at Mid-Ohio… idk how it is at other tracks other than Indy. But I’m also into it because I’ve gotten to know the drivers because I looked into it, personality and getting to know the drivers is a huge role in having favorite drivers. There would be so many more people into it if they actually knew who people were. There needs to be something to get people into it more like a show or series. But we also seen Romain Grosjean scooter past us near the paddocks. I didn’t realize until I looked up and boom there he was. No one even noticed it was him, only my dad in the moment and he was like “aye Grosjean” 😂
I love going to the Long Beach Gp in LA. I watch F1 but not indycar but it’s the closest thing I can afford and go to. I see it as like a Monaco for indycar. I got autographs from Romain G and from Colten Hurta. Definitely one of the best days of my life
I find it a blessing that i live in the state that Road America is in, along with the Milwaukee Mile (the oldest active racetrack in the world mind you). Road America is unique in the sense that you pay to just get it rather than picking your seat. It is a tailgator's paradise there. That and you can literally walk meters from Kettle Bottoms, a fast straight is like "damn!"
That’s my home track I just went this year twice. It is my favorite place on earth lol. I love that it’s only an hour from me and it’s the best track in America it’s just great.
Road America is my favorite place to go, I live really close to there, and it’s always interesting because when you’re driving through the nearby city Elkhart Lake, sometimes you’ll see the drivers out and about, once I saw Scott Dixon on a phone car in a parking lot, and once David letterman went out to eat at a nearby resort
I had grosean scooter right by me while i was walking past the paddock with my girlfriend at the Toronto race in 2022!!! At first i couldnt believe it, but after he went by i turned and yelled, "oh hey romain!" And he turned and gave me a big smile and waved!! Great guy :)
I'm not sure if it still has the same setup, but NASCAR qualifying and practices used to be the same way at Sears Point(Infineon Raceway, now Sonoma Raceway)
Hey JBone! I was at the race this year and last year and actually got to talk to Romain grosjean last year, got his autograph and got a selfie with him! It was so amazing and the track is also amazing! I also got Colton herta, Jamie Chadwick, veekay, and canapinos autograph. You could also buy the copper Tyers the usf pro 2000 used in practice wich I bought!
I didnt know you went to Indycar! You should also go to Detroit and Mid-Ohio(its halfway between Cleveland and Columbus1.5 hours either way). It'd be cool if you did some sort of live vlog thing there.
How? Sure the cars go faster and they have some the famous Indy 500 but there is not as much entertainment as a a NASCAR race because you can’t get the door to door temper, flaring, short track, superspeedway racing overall a better show
@@Olivermansuper66 just seeing drivers close to each other isn’t what makes racing interesting. I like nascar but I prefer the pace and technical skill needed in formula 1 and indycar

It's the best! Indycar is the best bang for your buck, especially at Road America. They need to add live music for the Saturday or post race.

My grandparents live in Elkhart Lake, so ever year we go see them and then go to the vintage races. Best weekend of the year by far

Indycar is such a great viewer experience and value compared to F1 man, it's crazy. Americans know how to have fun, give em that.

No one we ever come to any definitive answer to which format is "the best". Different people like different sports... who would have thought?!
