    In 2006 the two weeks before he committed suicide, Sherman Sizemore thought people were trying to bury him alive. Family members say the 73-year-old Baptist minister was driven to kill himself by the traumatic experience of being awake during surgery but unable to move or cry out in pain.
    His Anesthesiologist never checked his eyes, or face for signs of pain.

  • @foxyturbine7114
    @foxyturbine7114 Рік тому +12

    Wow, that was a lot to absorb in just over 5 mins.
    The one that kills me is the 500,000+ homeless people in America when there are 17 million vacant homes. That's rather disturbing.

    • @almostyummymummy
      @almostyummymummy Рік тому

      As of late last year (I think) that number is very close to 600,000. I wonder where/when/if it will ever improve?

    • @mayorb3366
      @mayorb3366 Рік тому +3

      I'm old enough to be more cynical than most.
      Do you know how to make a privately owned vacant home virtually worthless?
      Let homeless people move in.
      I know that sounds harsh.
      But as for places have tried the "tiny houses" for homeless.... Within a week most were uninhabitable. Loaded with dirty needles and pretty much everything that can come out of a human body.
      The vast majority of the homeless are there because of mental health and/or substance abuse issues. If we can make headway on addressing those issues, that would make a huge dent in the problem.

    • @kennethmasters9329
      @kennethmasters9329 Рік тому +1

      Reenactment of harsh penalties for drug abuse then while they are locked up forced mental health programs and drug interdiction programs then when and if the complete the programs satisfactorily their sentences can be reassessed and expunged. Other than that there is no helping the problem besides forced compliance and as you see that is very draconian.

    This is how anesthetics work: When they put you under for an operation, you become fully paralyzed, but still can feel everything. However, your memory is paralyzed, and cannot hold onto that experience. So you forget everything at the end. Evidence shows paitents have been through a lot of pain during the operation even though they cannot remember anything.
