    *You know, it's sad that steroid use and supplement use often get mistaken as the same thing, simply because of mis-information out there. I've heard many people say that something like creatine is a steroid, which is a common misconception, that I usually have to correct some people on. I'm just glad that now, it does start to seem like more people in sports and fitness are getting more educated. Because like back in the 2010's, the pure amount of misinformation was ridiculous. Also, great video Ryan, very informative!*

      Thank you, I completely agree, I feel like the lack of transparent information is the biggest issue right now and hoping I can help to clarify

    You absolutely put a bright light on this event, setting WR as a clean athlete. On a side note, there's a Japanese joke referring to someone so strong like "Hey, he must be on protein" lol

    Hey man, do you ever think you'll be the first person to throw 24 meters? Also, have you ever thought about competing in the World's Strongest Man competition?

    • @Gbonejohn1974

      he would definitely need drugs then to even be competitive

      I think 24m is possible, everything has to be nearly perfect for it to come together though. I haven’t given strongest man much thought tbh

    I did powerlifting for 10 years. I used a lot of supplements at times and none at others. During that time I used a PED once for 8 weeks. Overall I lifted the most weight at my lightest body weight with no PED and no supplements. I always ate a balanced diet that was heavy on protein. YMMV PS - I was a fair shot putter in high school.

    Hey Ryan. What do you use personally? What kind of supplements and can you tell what supplements worked for you for example?

    But what is you guy’s opinion on just regular people taking it, like I know some one who doesn’t play sports at any sort of high level and is just using supliments as a ‘get ripped quick’ sort of thing, I don’t think that he should be using them like that but I’m curious to hear other’s opinions

    • @RyanCrouser23
      @RyanCrouser23  2 роки тому +3

      That’s a great question, in all honesty no supplement is gonna get you ripped quick. That’s all hard work and nutrition, but takes a lot of time. I do believe however that supplements can still help improve the quality of life for an everyday person. A multivitamin and a probiotic are great to start with to make sure your body has the essential vitamins and minerals it needs to function properly and a probiotic to help with gut health

    Hey ryan, thoughts on creatine use in Shotput and discus?

    • @RyanCrouser23
      @RyanCrouser23  2 роки тому +2

      I’ll go into more detail in my next video, but it can definitely benefit. The main thing to realize with creatine is that it has benefits up to the amount your muscles can absorb so going above the recommended servings doesn’t have any added benefit
