@SRN If you watch him closely over many interviews, you would realize he is big fan of the great Indian democracy and he just wants to strengthen it by strenghthing opposition. And I think thats a great service to India as a culture and nation. By the way I support BJP for next at least 10 years for infrastructure development not for democracy. For democracy BJP remains a threat on long term basis. For short term they might end up consolidating and strenghthing power of Centre which is very necessary for now for India.

I am from Telangana and probably one in that 45% Hindus who didn't vote for BJP. But now I am leaning towards BJP at the centre as it has got clear cut nationalistic policies, be it 370, CAA or UCC, which none of the opposition parties even dare to provide a counter logical and reasonable argument. And these issues are very real and relevant. PK is only looking at it from data perspective but there's ground level transformation happening with the Indian voters. This is a new India which will question and won't take things lying down. Ye public hai, ye sab jaanti hai.

CAA shows mercy of India towards the unlucky, tortured and persecuted minorities in Muslim dominant nations. And in case of excluding Muslim refugees, if a non Indian Muslim want to live in India, then why the hell did they vote to Muslim league in election(1947) which was a referendum whether to separate India on the basis of religion or not and went to Pakistan after the Independence.

I am from tamil nadu , first time I am moving towards BJP. I do not see any major corruption, good laws for improvement of nation, focus for army, article 370, peaceful ram temple, water distribution scheme, new roads and bridge near China. Reduction in stone petting in j& k. N.E given due respect. Tamil Nadu fisherman are protected by this government from Lankan.
One of the most experienced interviewers in India keeps asking questions like a Coffee with Karan interview rather than engaging in an exploratory conversation. Such a great respondent she had and all Barkha did was - one quality you admire , one weakness, one leader you think will be the face...

I was wondering why PK is giving so many interviews. The answer is, by doing these he is publicly inviting Congress back to the discussion table and by making clear statements about his intentions and would be role out in the public, he is trying to give them confidence.

I mean, the kind of answers he gives back to sometimes a little stupid or confusing kind of questions from barkha dutt, clearly shows that prashant kishore is very, very clear about his ideas and he actually knows what to do to turn the tables against the current ruling government!
This man has a vision, really.
And this time, at least ppl like me don't want just a party who's interested in defeating BJP in lok sabha elections, but we want a candidate who's truly willing to work for the nation, face the real issues of the nation and come out with workable solutions. That's it.
We don't want that same old, religious or sentimental brainwashing to divert us from the real, nagging issues which have been so much ignored since decades that they have become a major, intolerable problem for the nation now.
We want such a leader who can face such issues and even motivate the youth to co-operate with the government in bringing out the positive changes.
It is always a delight to listen to Mr.PK, he provides a great insight into the state of Indian politics and parties.

I said, I enjoy listening to his arguments and if you get offended by anything he said, it means you are not use to listening to sound arguments. Every few months, when PK feels no one is talking about him and the world is still running fine without chanting his name, he goes to give interviews to the known sympathetic journalists. So more news cycles devoted to him. And he says exactly the same thing in every interview but still gets praises from commenters. There is nothing new in this interview that he hadn't already said in Shekhar Gupta or Navika Kumar's interviews back in Nov 2021.
Yes he is maybe saying the same thing because he is trying to build strong opposition, which will take years.. he has a vision and he will stick to it till end.

Even in 8th to 10th Std history text books we can see all the Hindu Kings were projected as losers which may not betrue BUT our children read that. Now right wing people gave verdict in May 2014 in favor of BJP - Now we are in 2022 January -- 8 Years gone -- What has happened ? Did the center changed any law on Vote bank politics ? No. Still we are holding on to that 1955 law REPRRSENTATION OF PEOPLE ACT which is having at least 200 flaws.. How come PK can make career out of exploitation of weakness of our law .. How come such a open discussion on caste and religion takes place in India . CM should be from JAT , Finance Minister OBC , Home Minister SC , etc.. Where is the room for MERIT in our country ? Zero . for a drop of a hat we quote Article 25 and " OUR RIGHT OF RELIGIOUS KILLING " becomes talk and there are many cases SC has upheld right of minorities ( 20 % people are minorities in India ) as GOSPEL Truth ..? Openly Christians are saying Conversion is Religious duty and Article 25 allows conversion it seems .. Recent case in TN where a girl LAVANYA 14 years young committed suicide for forcefully conversion which she mentioned in her death note with names. No case no media cover nothing.. Where are we heading ? All the time election and vote bank politics -- Can we not end this Vote bank politics ? It is totally possible .. I am sick of this politics which is another name for Corruption .. 2,46 lakhs crore is annual budget of my state out of which 40 % goes for corruption. When I fill a liter of petrol Rs 35 out of Rs 100 goes to CM fund (read state govt). 18 % GST of which 41% comes to state . This is huge attraction for unscrupulous people and we are allowing this through proper legal means called ....... . 30 lakhs cases pending in courts .. Courts taking 34 years for completion of case -- after 20 years the Bollywood movie star was acquitted in hit and run case .. Courts are deciding height of the Pole of DAHI HUNDI in Mumbai -- SC is considering 5 women activities right as supreme and passes judgement in Shabarimala case .. I think we are headed for doomed day -- People are still following rules in India because we are coward people and not having guts .. We are waiting for another Ibrahim Lodi to conquer Delhi like what happened some 1500 years back which appears to be eminent .. I will die before that as I am already 54 years .

In my view he dilutes the truth just enough to suit his own agenda. For instance he seems to be a bit too keen on pushing the Hinduvta agenda against BJP that does not quite resonate with most of the Hindus I know. Its not a 1 V 1 for or against so-called Hinduvta but rather its an equation between Hindu and Hindu lite. His theory that a credible alternative can emerge around congress smacks of a bit opportunism by any objective electoral analysis of recent political trends.

Side point - Pandits trying to find hidden meanings in what PK is saying and getting frustrated that there's nothing controversial. His track record shows he's a thorough professional, and one of the most consistent and transparent political figures.

The discussion is based on the premise that "BJP has to be defeated in 2024" with out really talking about why? Vision, strategies and mechanics apart, why should BJP be defeated in 2024?
I think it was Barkha being fixated around defeating BJP. Prashant was pretty clear, he wants to create a strong opposition, not necessarily with the intention of defeating only Modi. He mentioned it in the beginning of the interview. There is a difference between the two, whether the opposition unites only to defeat or do they have an alternate vision as well that strikes a cord with the people.

If you are silent on CAA/NRC and Delhi riots then there's no point in being the opposition. If your vote is against Hindutva then it should be for the Congress but if you want to defeat BJP just for the sake of it then go to Kejriwal
