I think it was a wild album because when it came out, RiFF RAFF had a few tracks, he was semi-famous but largely very comical which he still somewhat is. This album proved that the guy was highly talented, if only to the people who were willing to listen. I've been a fan since Three Loco and fell in love after the Versace Python freestyle video. Neon Icon is Riff's magnum opus.
I remember when this dropped, I loved it, I'd play it on repeat at the gym. I didn't tell me friends because they all thought riff was a joke rapper. Idgaf riff fucking ripped this beat a new asshole. Guy is a fucking slept on legend.

Wow! I really expected to not like this, but this is fucking tight. The beat sounds like something from The Bomb Squad back in the late 80's and early 90's, and his lyrics are just braggadocious and hilariously entertaining, his rapping and flow is delivered with this type of energy that comes from the late 80's and early 90's Hip Hop. This song is really entertaining. Did not expect that.

(purple prada pocket protector, versace bluetooth, woman's gold rolex, etc.) he's actually mocking pretentious fashion people like "ok you materialistic idiots, here's what you look like" The fact that it is completely a clever schtick and yet he has been adopted by an accepted into the rap community as an idol should tell you a lot about how people are today . >_>
