Thank you for letting us know. With so much content available these days, we think having all the birds together in one video makes it easier for viewers.
Oh... Wow!!!! Many of my favourite birds even though we are 12 hours distant (as the car drives :) ) from Katoomba. This is incredible, both visual footage and sound clarity. Truly wonderful. Thank you both very much, and thank you BIBY people for all that you do. 💚
06:30 - RAAAAAACCKK!!! RRAAAAAACCCKK!!! RAAAAAAAAACCCKK!!! Sulphur-crested Cockatoo, one of my favorite aussie birds. Melbourne inner suburbs here, we get small groups coming into our neighborhood late summer, foraging. They seem to start cruising around and screeching at dawn, destroying TV antennas 'there goes the neighbourhood. character, personality, noisy, intelligent, playfull and of course creative vandals, lol. Love them or RAAAAAACCKK off.
14:12 He's got his repertoire down pat. My theory is that they run through all the birds' (and any other sounds heard regularly) in their territory; an "aural" map. The greater variety of sounds - I wonder if it makes them more attractive to possible mates?
oh, could you tell me whose call that beautiful silvery tinkling trill at 32:02 is, please? I love it, and should know it as it is heard here but I can no longer play my old cassette tape that had it on.. :-0 Thank you.
