Was making some 40K objective templates by hand, and needed this method to figure out the center of a 40mm base. Perfect. Thanks!
Thanks I’m glad it worked out for u
Bless you. I was trying to find the center of a circle and also four corner points of a square within that circle. I made a mess trying. Now I can do it.
That’s great I’m glad I could help
Well this saves the time and effort of measuring the distance around the the circle and dividing by 2π or π
Ya it’s much better
That las one was one and done for me, thanks!
Awesome glad it worked
Hated math but wow I was amazed trying to eyeball without my compass. Ty !
Ya those methods arnt to bad to use
I like the square and compass on your left hand...
Thank you
Thank you👍
Your welcome
Thank you, my dear Sr.!
thank you im glad i could help.
I really like the template method. Thanks
Glad I could help
The chord method will find the center with only 2 chords needed
Oh cool I didn’t know that
This info helps with quilting designing also
Oh nice I had no idea m glad I could help
@@DavidsDiyReviews Yes, lots of geometry and math in quilt making. As you woodworkers do, we also "measure twice and cut once."
@@carryekearns2454 cut it twice and it’s still to short lol
Genius
i know right lol
Seen so many of these videos where "content creators" copy each other without thinking. Dude, place the top of the right angle anywhere on the circle, like you did. The two points where the angle arms intersect the circle form a diameter - connect them. Repeat it from a different starting point. The intersection of the two diameters is your centre of the circle. Basic geometry.
I definitely don’t have all the knowledge and answers. That is a great tip though. Thanks for sharing.
@@DavidsDiyReviews Welcome. Sorry I didn't want to come across rude
@@Forest_Knight no problem man I get what your sayin.
