Consider brown tights, the same color as your booties under the green dress. Kind of a 90's retro Ralph Lauren vibe. It is a legitimate historic look in a modern color way. And it's warm too! Brown leggings tucked into the bootie would work too. I enjoyed seeing your outfits. I think you are getting the sock questioned nailed down, and, Yes! the first outfit just "sings." :)
Consider buying a pair of fleece lined ( or just thick) pantyhose to wear under your dresses in cold weather. They will look good showing with whatever shoes you want to wear too. I even wear them under jeans in really cold weather if I am going to spend much time outdoors.
They make some now that have that fleece later skin tone too so it appears like regular tights! So it looks like black sheer tights but it’s really lined with fleece!
Love the versatility or variation of that grey sweater! I find that versatility is one of the most important considerations when choosing each garment in a small capsule wardrobe. And matching the sock color to the jean color looks great and helps you to be warm in the winter, so it's a win! Great examples!!!
Thanks for sharing your winter capsule, as well as what's working and where the gaps are. The genius idea I got is to always have that working list of every season or the duals, like Spring/Summer or Autumn/Winter in case you find something to add to what's missing for the past or coming season.
I think the ankle boots look cute with the dress/sweater combo! Add a legging underneath for warmth and to add some texture at that peak a boo section!
Your videos on this has helped me so much, I know I am a bright spring but I have researched the kibbe system and I am a soft natural, oh my just learning the shape of clothes has helped me so much. I am 52 and it is funny because all of the shapes that suit me have been my favourite of my life time. The colours in your collection are gorgeous. I am just getting into Pinterest so I will follow your tips. I just love your channel so much, I have been minimal for most of my life and you bring some sparkle into themes I enjoy ❤
Oh, so glad to hear. The color wheels and styles sometimes reveal new things to me, but often confirm things I already knew or thought about myself! Happy to add a little sparkle!
I need inspiration for a little wardrobe. A friend helps me with the closet and she will be getting brutally honest with my clothes then. I am done with a lot of clothes and i bought new clothes to wear in the upcoming seasons.
I love how intentional you are about each piece in your capsule. I aspire to get to this stage! I have minimized a lot and have about 50 pieces, total, but still feel like my items are sort of disjointed. I think part of my problem is that I live in Florida and the summer capsules I’ve seen don’t have much layering, so I’m not sure how to get the same variety from my pieces.
Thank you! It has definitely been trial and error and I have to constantly reevaluate. I can totally see what you are saying as far as layering. I think when it comes to dressing for warmer weather and not being able to utilize layers as much, I try to focus on pieces that are really good quality and that I feel really good in. I also try to make them feel refreshed by changing accessories and wearing my hair different ways. Hope this helps!
Very nice! Sharing your thought process with your wardrobe is so wonderful and helpful. Your style development is really great, and I love many of the same types of inspiration you showed on Pinterest.
No sure where you are, but our Target had some tall boots with a short “heel” on clearance for 70% off. They were more of a camel color. I realized I do not wear heals and wanted to replace my tall boots and found these. Thought I’d mention them in case your store had them.
This has nothing to do with this video but Cas from Clutterbug has just posted a video talking about paper clutter, thought this might help you with your paper in your closet . I have been watching you for a long time time, glad to see your channel is growing

Thank you Elizabeth for your kind words. Glad you found it helpful!
In South Texas I'm already thinking of spring clothes 😂 We are getting a cold front on Sat but next week we will hit the 80's 😮
It’s been pretty Spring-like here lately as well. I was hoping for snow (still am) but not holding my breath!
Very good style sense. You remind me so much of Hilary from Old World Home but Blonde. I’m newer to your channel and really enjoying it. ❤️
I consider that such a compliment- I really admire Hilary! Thanks for watching along here 🙂

Does the 33 items include sleep clothes?
Great question! No- only the pieces you wear out on a regular basis!
Yeah homeschool!
We love it!
