DMT sounds similar to the reports of taking Amanita Muscaria in the book Soma, the Divine Tree of Immortality, written by R. Gordon Wasson. Great read if your into the history of drugs and their past uses in tribal settings.
For me MDMA is the best of the bests. If you use it recreationally once in every 1-2 months you probably won't develop too much tolerance and also you can defend your brain with some specific nutritions from neurotoxicity and oxidative stress. Most of the drugs are fine but you have to know the substance, how it works, what does it damage etc. Once you are educated enough you can use them safely. Also moderation is key. Try to avoid highly addictive drugs and use those you can benefit from. These substances are meant to improve your life instead of ruining it. These should be legal at least for those who are educated enough to use them with responsibility.
For what it's worth, I know it's anecdotal, but I've stopped using cannabis a few times, and I've found that while CBD capsules help my fibromyalgia a bit, my mental health took a dive. When I started using again, I find my mood is more even and PTSD bothers me less (I still get flashbacks, but they're just... there, I don't really feel anything or react to them most of the time anymore) It's damaging my lungs, but I can't walk nearly as well without it, and going outside is a lot harder. I've gone from stuck on the sofa in pain and fatigue to walking freely in minutes after a vape. It's hard to comment on how it affects my memory coz I'm ADHD and had a terrible memory for a long time before I started using four years ago. Like I say, I know it's only anecdotal, but while feedback may be mixed, I can confirm it's not nothing
Very good video! More people need to know this, it hurts me so much knowing that these drugs arent used for helping people at the moment while they can be sooo effective.
Strange you didn’t mention ketamine, clinics exist all around the US and the research is very strong. I did ketamine therapy for TRMD and I’m a new man!
Ketamine is actually a Schedule 4 drug and has already received approval by the FDA for treating depression, as it appears you are aware! As such, it doesn’t fit what we’re talking about in this video, which is Schedule 1 drugs.
Honestly, I don't think anything will necessarily cure your own personal mental illness. Psilocybin, lsd, marijuana, etc can definitely help you find out certain things about yourself from a different point of view and can be very, very beneficial. But realistically, it's really up to you to treat your mental illness. I hope I didn't come off too nihilistic. Shrooms and marijuana have showed me a lot of things about myself. Everyday sober experiences have too!
I can speak from personal experience weed(legal in my state) has helped my anxiety ALOT like 90% better It may not help everyone but it makes me feel so much better

Unfortunately, the real reason why governments do not change the classification of drugs is not related to whether or not they have a medical use, but because of economic interest, more precisely the big pharmaceutical companies, because for them there is no interest in a medicine that cures you in a single dose, because that doesn't bring them any profit, and that's why it's also easier to study highly addictive drugs, because the longer they manage to make you take a medication, the more money they earn.
@@filteredview9302 True they're getting paid either way but also true that you don't legally have to take the psychiatric drug each and every time. If anyone has a legitimate psychiatric illness such as enough anxiety then sure, they take their psychiatric drug every now and then to keep themselves from going off the rails with a nervous breakdown. But I would imagine that unless any subject A became so violent that he was walking along the sidewalk toting an axe, he doesn't legally have to take his psychiatric drugs each and every time. There is no cops with a badge and a gun in any persons household making the person take his psychiatric drugs each and every time. Nor is there frequent and consistently accurate drug testing to make certain that whomever is taking his/her psychiatric drug each and every time. They (big pharma) ultimately don't care whether or not you get zombie-fied with too many psychiatric drugs, they flat out want to get paid.
Just thought I'd mention that having once been addicted to crack cocaine, I never craved marijuana ever again. I highly approve of medicinal uses for cbd, but I can't stand the smell of marijuana burning anymore! I've been crack free for almost 19 years. Long before I was a crack addict, I had my experiences with LSD and psilocybin, both of which slowly made me a more aware person/less delusional as well as a more compassionate person.
I am currently supposed to be using medical marijuana to treat my PTSD, but I've not done a good job of taking it because I've been nervous about how my mom and dad feel about it, about where I can use it since it's illegal to smoke in public and edibles always mess with me, and the city I live in is really windy these days. I'm disabled, and a big part of my inability to work and function is due to PTSD. It's really complex and really hard to treat/avpid triggering. So I have to turn to alternative treatments to improve it, because my psychiatric meds just don't do enough for it (I still take them as directed, the help with ADHD, depression, and anxiety).

I'm a heavy smoker and have phlegm non stop for the past 3 years. Can anyone please point me to websites, articles, blogs in the proper way of using psilocybin. I'm a bit hesitant and fearful in using this, thanks!
Great video! I just have to ask, what are you sources for ayahuasca or DMT causing serotonin syndrome? DMT doesn't make the brain make more serotonin, unlike MDMA, it's just almost identical to it. I just don't see how DMT can cause it and not psilocybin when they are almost identical in chemical structure. I hope you, or someone in the comments can enlighten me :)
Great question! While it's possible to get serotonin syndrome from large amounts of ayahuasca (it has very weak serotonin reuptake inhibition) , the real danger comes if you are taking SSRIs, because combining them with the MAOIs found in ayahuasca could easily lead to serious physical harm.
The fact that all these are illegal while alcohol is not, is beyond me. The fact that people not even consider alcohol in the category 'drugs' just shows how brainwashed everyone is and just believes everything they're told about these things. The underlying factor in drug abuse is almost always a mental condition and countries as portugal and austria have already shown that legalizing drugs and spending the money from fighting drugs on mental help for these people, and making the contact at places where they acquire the drugs is 1000 times more efficient than what is happening now.
"Control" is not how the government controls them but instead how it tries to do so. It merely drives up the price and the risks, including the risk of incarceration. (I am not a libratarian about anything.)
Quaaludes are a prescription drug. You put them in the same category as no medical use. My mother-in-law was prescribed them for cancer. I don't know if they still prescribe it but it sure made the pharmaceutical industry of boatload of money.
GHB is Xyrem for Narcolepsy. It's insane and the processes for getting it is nuts (took it for years as a narcoleptic). That one at least makes sense. Super dangerous, and limited scope. But it's price and limited availability is still a huuuuuge issue in the Narcoleptic community. Jazz Pharmaceuticals is making freaking bank off of it.

My body is mine. The state should have very marginal and limited say over what I do and don't do to it.
Thank you for this great, highly intelligent video. With cannabis now legal in a number of US states it seems surprising that so little research is being done - even if it was instigated by ma manufacturers and distributers. (Or maybe they're all too stoned to get round to the complexities of research. . . .). It would have been brilliant to hear about K is for Ketamine, though I understand it is in Schedule 3 and thus, I suppose, outside your Schedule 1 remit. Anyone interested should have a look at the hilarious "An unusual reaction to a strong painkiller" on UA-cam
Right on man!!
Spred the word to any one there out there. The people dosent know this things!
Send this video to your local media, you could never know which government would interest.

HI this is so interesting and cool, im in Mexico trying to work in biomedical research, biostats and bioethics and content like this gives me a lot of hope because it comes from good intention, makes me feel safe to invest my time in research. KEEP MAKING THIS STUFF its fuunny, informative and unfeigned.
Thank you, subscribed tonight!
Every one of those is legal if you ignore the govt.
“When the fire nation attacked” 😂😂😂😂
Well I'm conviced, starting tomorow I will become a drug dealer to save the world
Very good video! More people need to know this, it hurts me so much knowing that these drugs arent used for helping people at the moment while they can be sooo effective.
I thoroughly enjoyed your presentation and learned a lot. Thank you.
I use legal Marijuana, it has helped my anxiety, sleep disorder greatly! I absolutley love it!
Just signed the petition!
1. There is no such thing as “abusing” drugs
2. What defines “medical”?
that was beautiful! Thank you.
I always thought we should make a drug schedule based on fatalities related to each drug.
That would be better, but that would implicate alcohol, and not many politicians would want that. Not many people in general would want that.
PCP is not Schedule I, its schedule II.
We do know if DMT is addictive. It is not.
Tripping balls on my day off. Back to the grind tomorrow.
Also there needs to be a huge drug education reform. That's probably 90% of the problem
I can speak from personal experience weed(legal in my state) has helped my anxiety ALOT like 90% better
It may not help everyone but it makes me feel so much better
I was having constant, unbearable anxiety because of work stress. Not until I came across Michellewilly23, a very intelligent mycologist. She saved my life honestly
I have multiple sclerosis and psychedelics have been the only thing I could turn to or trust I never let the doctors run their usual experiments on me I decided to run my own experiments with things they don't even know anything about they also claim the supplements are not useful lol
That's just plain ol facts right there
Great video!
What doesn't the government lie about?

Be weary, acid heads with minimal or no experience with shrooms. I tripped on LSD at doses ranging from 25ug to 600~ug nine times before having my first >threshold dose of shrooms. The "full body experience" was/is jarring and is why I consider shrooms far more intense of an experience.
That ending was pure heat. 🥵
9:50 Obscure cultural reference as political satire! Very nice.
There are no drugs in Ba Sing Se
Unfortunately, the real reason why governments do not change the classification of drugs is not related to whether or not they have a medical use, but because of economic interest, more precisely the big pharmaceutical companies, because for them there is no interest in a medicine that cures you in a single dose, because that doesn't bring them any profit, and that's why it's also easier to study highly addictive drugs, because the longer they manage to make you take a medication, the more money they earn.
True, I guess the most addictive substance of earth is power.
"In the 70's when the Fire nation attacked" 🤣
Yea cannibis increased my depression. Which sucks. So can’t smoke anymore.
I wonder when will big pharma step in and halt the progression or twist the scheduling in such way that they can make money out of it.
I tried to sign the petition and the links page isnt working . Wont let me sign it
Hmm, that's strange. It wouldn't let you sign or you couldn't access the page? Here's the link if that helps: www.change.org/p/u-s-house-of-representatives-remove-medical-use-criteria-from-schedule-1-drugs-to-allow-life-saving-research?US%3A4&recruiter=628112189&
I did not know that cocaine is classified as a narcotic. Stupid me, I thought it was a stimulant.
Psychedelics are extremely dangerous to the current system and hierarchical structures.
Only because they dissolve the barriers and structures of the entire thing, to the weak minded its horrifying lmfaooo have a goodnight.
Great video! Lets strive for the knowledge to do this right and for the sovereignty of each individual to decide over the state of their own consciousness
I'm a heavy smoker and have phlegm non stop for the past 3 years. Can anyone please point me to websites, articles, blogs in the proper way of using psilocybin. I'm a bit hesitant and fearful in using this, thanks!

... 3:49 WHO MADE THE SCHEDULE ?
...
I think you can be the next Mr. Olympia bodybuilder
you're hilarious and genius, brother
I saw what happened to that one fitness UA-camr after taking ayahuasca and I find it hard to disagree with it being highly controlled...
What about mescaline, ketamine and iboga?!?!
I was wondering about that too.
@@neurotransmissions Okay, makes sense. thanks for the answer :)
But they're so difficult to monetize!
Lmao 🤣🤣🤣🤣 fire nation...you be watching avatar The last Airbender
Best way to understand the prohibition of cannabis is to read "The emperor wears no clothes" by Jack Heror.
What if, we all, just know, exactly what our bodies need!? ❤
Thanks!
I was surprised that you didn’t touch on micro-dosing or ketamine.
This channel will be fun
