Bro, pretty much any TV u get nowadays will be a great replacement to your 12 yr old one lol I've been researching this Sony TV a lot, I'm very picky but also budget-minded. So this is my choice for 42/43 inch size. The best TV for gaming at that size rn is the LG C3 but its $300-350 more. @@zerocal76 actually bro I’m probably looking at the 55 inch and the one that I am buying is the Sony X 85 model. I like that it is under $900 which $900-$1000 is my budget for a 55 inch TV. Good review. Sony New Zealand charges NZ$1,299 for it. My Sony 4K TV (2017 model) only has 60Hz. Since I've ordered a new high end custom desktop PC, I'll look into getting this to avoid screen tearing with high frame rates capable from my RTX 4080 that a 60Hz display could face. Don't think I am ever buying Sony anything ever again..
Idk. Nicest tv i ever played games on. Looks beautiful to me
What was he saying about the 120 hz? I didnt understand. It wont work if you have the 2k picture setting on?
What tv should I get 43 inch for Xbox series s
Depends on how much money you wanna spend. This TV he's talking about is a really good TV. I bought one to play games on and it's beautiful
Hisense and tcl do not last long term
Agreed, had a Hisense , crapped out after only 3 years, never again
lol Hisense and tcl is garbage it makes my 1080p blu-ray discs into garbage upscale picture compare to my SAMSUNG 32" Class FHD (1080P) Smart LED TV (UN32N5300)
the Hisense and tcl is a piece of junk
Good review. Sony New Zealand charges NZ$1,299 for it. My Sony 4K TV (2017 model) only has 60Hz. Since I've ordered a new high end custom desktop PC, I'll look into getting this to avoid screen tearing with high frame rates capable from my RTX 4080 that a 60Hz display could face. I wish Sony created an official remote app where you can use your smartphone as the remote control. Should be doable especially for 2023 and without having to resort to 3rd party apps.
Hisense over Sony?
I have a Hisense H9G and it is a great tv but I was thinking of upgrading to a Sony. But now I’m thinking of the Hisense U7. 🤔
Hisense is trash
How is it with pc gaming and video editing
Not bad, if you're using it for video editing makes to calibrate the pc and TV for accurate colors n stuff lol
@@levitatingpizza8528 how do you do that
Sony gives Long life , that can't get from Hisence or TCL ....
How is sonys smooth handling vs tcl q7?
Q7 is shit lol
@@wds3222no its not. You have to calibrate it, but it's actually pretty good
Significantly better
this or oled LG 42" C21 for pc?
For productivity, this one. The C2 is prone to burn in. If for gaming, tv and movies, the C2 is a league better than this. However. It's also priced a league higher than this TV.

Should I get this or save $150 and get a HiSense U7. I would end up spending those $150 on AppleTV anyway smh tough decisions

How does it compare to Hisense u7k?
sony specific better for ps5 gaming as it has HDMI port 2.1 so its a true 120 Hz refresh rate on other hand hisnese is better for movies as it qled and mini led compared to sony which is only led
I’ve got this TV, got it in June. The worst tv I’ve ever had, it reboots constantly. Switch to Apple TV it reboots, open an app it reboots, switch input it reboots.
Did you update the firmware??? There's usually a fix in the pipeline if you regularly do the software update. You would have to be connected to the internet. Alternatively, you could do a Google search on your home computer, then look for the update and download the file to a root folder of a USB drive.
I had the tv since March , never had a single isssue
@RoyalBoyle78 I was watching other UA-cam videos and 1 guy got 2 remotes in the box. How many did u get?
@@gailenrique2804 yeah I got two
@@gailenrique2804 Done all that. Going to do a full system reset and see if that fixes it, if not speak to Sony I guess.
Installed my 65 by myself
Maybe when Gta6 comes out and I get a ps5 I might get this tv with it plus by then tv s will be even cheaper.
Debating right now for $650
This tv is poor for what you pay I've had mine for over 6 months and not happy with the picture there's black crush, older shows and films look really bad . The x90k would be better it has smooth gradiation feature and full array local dimming .
You can get an oled for the same price.
X85k good tv ps4
Please help me
Here in the US the LG C3 is considerably more expensive than the Sony X85K.
X85K or X90L
The X90L is the better television but it has blooming. The X85K is pretty good but has shortcomings like an older processor.

In Windows?
yes. @@jc6993
Tcl q7 looked like junk out of box got this just amazing
This TV is not 4k 120, I'm surprised you can't tell. It dithers resolution when you switch to 120 and looks terrible.
How can u tell ?
Clear explanation plzz
Lol
It is a 120hz when used on hdmi 3/4 ports for gaming and a normal 100hz panel for normal viewing …. How I know…literally bought it now from the Sony centre lol
You must be doing something wrong. Or didn’t enable the hdmi 3/4 to enhanced VRR
Well LG's remote is the worst looking one imo.
Can you do 1080p 120hz gaming ?
It’s literally the same but it’s 1080p😂
