Does anyone know the names of any books that are sold which have the plans for making these type of wooden toys/automata? Trying to find books that have quite a few different projects in it if possible.
I can't think of a more representative video than this one for hallowe'en. Back in the Victorian era, when ghosts and window devils were still the most common visiters in these big empty and varnished rooms, and at night responsible for the only sounds in these ivy covered houses.. One could feel the darkness pressing in from all sides. No sound, except, perchance, a creak of the stairs , in an empty house could be heard. Click.click. Click.click…Click. click
In the hallway, the wooden Head seemed to know what was coming .. and whose hand was turning the crank? Surely the last residents of the House had all been laid to rest just this afternoon. Nobody left in this house to light the oil , yet…… The lamp was lit..scattering shadows like a possessed demon, all down the hallway.. and there.. the automatons on the wall! Wait! DId those eyes move?

What if someone create robots that can draw everything and everyone just like the automaton. What if we had DSI-VR300 can control the robot and we can make it to draw anything with our imagination

if they are automata, shouldn't they be moving on their own? like after you wind them up or something?

I don't know of any online courses. I teach 4-day class at North House Folk School in Grand Marais, MN. Next one coming up in June.
