well Nintendo has that magic touch, i bought FighterZ for PS4 then they made me buy the Switch version and i have both versions of RE4 (physical Wii and Wii U VC) and now im buying again. like i've said they have that magic touch though not all of us are weak enough to fall for their Jedi mind trick.
Now if only someone would add new bosses, monsters, assist monsters that function like Guardians in the Final Fantasy series, new statuses, new characters in addition to the old ones, and new worlds to explore in addition to the old ones, and that Sony would give up its rights to, Rogue Galaxy, and then put that, as well as a much deeper and more complex story, then it would be a perfect addition to the Switch.
This is actually one of the best and underrated FF games. I like all the improvements in the gameplay I've seen so far which allows more customisations for the party.
I love the game. Played through it (not fully 100%) around 2 months ago. Huge task, but so worth it. Would be nice if they found a use for the extra points once you fill out both license boards. Some characters maxed that out way before the others.
zodiac age is actually a pile of s***. In normal FF XII, you could have everything, every spell, every license with every character... in zodiac, you have to choose two "classes" for each character, and once you choose, you can't go back :) (For example, I ended with Basch being absolutely useless, incapable of casting a simple heal, because he had two classes, warrior and ninja, that can't cast spells xDDDDD)
@@NikaSG sometimes, less is more, in Zodiac Age character stats are better weighted so if you want Balthier to be a gunner, he can be a gunner, whereas in the original, Penelo was a better gun user because if her stats. Zodiac age is more balanced, and tbh no one likes being a free lancer/onion knight, because those classes have little identity besides being the jack of all trades. If everyone can use every weapon then it makes things too simplistic.
What adds more salt to the wounds is that the Switch and Xbox version are getting extra features the PS4 and PC version do not have. No confirmation of those 2 getting an update either.
There is no better place than IVALICE, I love the Lore and the Political Turmoil, the guild system, the zodiac braves, the missions, the history, the landscape, the adventure.
@@pupstermobster8567 Squarenix created the "Ivalice Alliance" in order to keep track of the games that take place there, I'll say Yasumi Matsuno it's the best at directing and creating drama for this awesome tales. FFXII story it's weak because Matsuno drop out for health issues, so sad.
Everything you just listed are the reasons I despised this FF the most. I've beaten every Final Fantasy game from 1 to 15, and I ranked XII at the very very bottom. Always interesting how people's tastes can vary so much. And yes, it's true that the story fell apart because the director became ill during development

I've beat every Final Fantasy and rate XII as the absolute lowest of them all. However, I can see many people enjoyed it, for whatever reason. I don't understand why, but it's good we don't all like the same things. As for the most underrated FF, I would give that to IX or IV.

And sadly even though we're technically getting a remake of 7 they changes the gameplay to action rpg, which I genuinely think is going to make the game feel completely different. Now with all that being said I'm going with ff8 as my personal favorite. 7 seemed like a more refined 6, which wasn't a bad thing, but when 8 came out the differences in gameplay were just perfect imo
My aunt got me this game since it came out the special edition. I can't wait to get it for switch if I can because there is alot if games coming out I want this year.
Nothing like reliving a classic, and remembering to grab the Zodiac Spear at around lvl 30, then grab all the other gears, then power lvl to 99, then do the story line, then do side quests that 20 times harder then the final boss. Oh the memories!
This game is so amazing! At first I thought Xenoblade 2 have the best rpg combat system ever but after playing it just blow my mind. Finally An rpg with real time combat where player can fully customize every character move set in a battle
Story time: My f*$%ing PS3 froze when I was 90% done with the Tiamat fight!!! I was like 3 hrs into the fight at that point. Never bothered to go back and finish it. Still a little salty. One of the reasons why I don't game with Sony anymore.
One of my favourite RPGs of all time, my favourite FF and the only english dub I really prefer over the japanese voices. Played it on PS2, PS4 and will certainly do it again on Switch kupo !
It's kind of groundbreaking to see all these Final Fantasy games back on Nintendo systems after so long. If you look back it's weird how things go on and change. Feels right at home.

Absolutely legendary game, the best world Square have ever built and that's saying something. Ivalice just felt real in a way no other world in Final Fantasy does, with the others i understand it's a fantasy world at all times, with this one i can just get sucked right in.
I stopped playing FF games since 9. Got FFXV on xbox one but soon after i got a ps4 and that has kept me busy. Zodiac Age has always been one i was interested in and now its the perfect time/chance to buy it. Thank you Nintendo and SquareSoft /Enix ;)

And the newly added Balthier Mode, where there are no movie scenes because everyone in the party is replaced with Balthier. While gallivanting across Ivalice, they periodically grace us with such lines as, “I play the leading man”, and “No one knows men like Fran does.” ;)

They should make a game for birdo, it should be called super birdo. In the game, yoshi and birdo break up and birdo ends up dating kamek. However, kamek's ex girlfriend, kamette, wants her lovely kamek back, so she steals and imprisons poor kamek and it is up to birdo to defeat kamette and rescue her lovely kammy poo.
It used to be after FF jumped ship to PlayStation that if you wanted all the FF games, you got them on that platform. Now that they are branching the FF games out to other platforms, that's just not the case anymore. PlayStation is no longer the true home of FF. Yeah, I'm being Captain Obvious, but FF should be enjoyed by players regardless of if you own a Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, or PC platform.
Just one more reason the switch has become my favourite console by absolute miles power doesn’t matter when you get quality games and especially when you can play quality games anywhere you want but I will be getting this after my favourite final fantasy FFX
Guys release these gems in physical copies not digital, most people already have these games and just want it for collection FFIX, FFVIII, FFVII, all these need to come out in physical
That would be a waste of resources since Nintendo Switch cartridges are expensive to make. You might be willing to pay $60 for an old game but not many people.
Think of it like the International version of Final Fantasy X or a Final Mix version of Kingdom Hearts. A variation that had additional content that had previously been locked out to Western audiences
Apart from only being able to play at 30fps (the PC version can play at 60), this is clearly the definitive version. First time ever as a portable game and not only does it look as good as the PS4/PC versions (to be expected considering it's a PS2 remaster), but has a couple of added features that are incredibly welcome and exciting. Being able to switch job classes is a game changer as the PS4/PC versions don't allow that. This will be my 4th time buying FFXII and even after getting the Platinum on PS4, I'm still excited to play it again.

I was so happy when I finally beat him on PS4. Never grinded enough on PS2 to take him down.

That facial art and mouth movement gave me Xenoblade Chronicles vibes. And yes I know this predates XC..
That's why on XC's release many were saying the game looked like it had PS2 faces, good enough faces, but still.... XD

Not quite, Wii was basically just a Gamecube but a tiny bit stronger + motion controls.
@@lordofhostsappreciator3075 The Wii is not just a tiny bit stronger. It basically is more or less two GameCube's in one. Much more powerful than GameCube and PS2 which becomes apparent with games like Project Zero/Fatal Frame 2 and Silent Hill: Shattered Memories.

They should make a game for birdo, it should be called super birdo. In the game, yoshi and birdo break up and birdo ends up dating kamek. However, kamek's ex girlfriend, kamette, wants her lovely kamek back, so she steals and imprisons poor kamek and it is up to birdo to defeat kamette and rescue her lovely kammy poo.

I've actually never played a final fantasy game, looks like this one will be my first!
It used to be after FF jumped ship to PlayStation that if you wanted all the FF games, you got them on that platform. Now that they are branching the FF games out to other platforms, that's just not the case anymore. PlayStation is no longer the true home of FF. Yeah, I'm being Captain Obvious, but FF should be enjoyed by players regardless of if you own a Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, or PC platform.

What is The Zodiac Age? Is this a sequel? Cos I already played Revenant Wings, and I really think I should play the original at some point.
Zodiac Age is an enhanced version of the original that overhauled the gameplay
Think of it like the International version of Final Fantasy X or a Final Mix version of Kingdom Hearts. A variation that had additional content that had previously been locked out to Western audiences
Remaster
Apart from only being able to play at 30fps (the PC version can play at 60), this is clearly the definitive version. First time ever as a portable game and not only does it look as good as the PS4/PC versions (to be expected considering it's a PS2 remaster), but has a couple of added features that are incredibly welcome and exciting. Being able to switch job classes is a game changer as the PS4/PC versions don't allow that.
This will be my 4th time buying FFXII and even after getting the Platinum on PS4, I'm still excited to play it again.
