This is what happens when you turn a Quora post into a movie, but seeing an actual person go through it makes you want to rethink your whole life.
Is it really ?
Damn, that was cold, not even a Reddit post 💀
" Comparison is the thief of all joy. "
only if you lose out.
@@TomatoTomato911 sure but there's always someone better than you
@@venukrithish007 theres always someone better than everyone else at something.
@@TomatoTomato911 Of course but you cant be better at everything when u compare 2 people. It's better to be content with what u have and always try to improve oneself than thinking abt others
@@venukrithish007 its ok to settle for 2nd best. No one will blame you.
I needed that.
When a lot of his "friends" bragged about how "great" their lives were, I had this gut instinct that perhaps they were all busy trying to hide their insecurities under a thin veneer of borrowed "success".
I think I should listen 👂 to my gut instincts more often.
Always. It’s the best weapon you’ve got.
100% agreed with!
I still can't get over the fact that he shouted at and insulted a friend who not only returned his call, helped his son get into Harvard and shared stories of other friends, just because he acted arrogant once and didnt return a call in the past. People are lacking basic courtesy and decency these days. And yes I got the moral of the story, thankyou.
And the table and hospitality also cause of him
I noticed that too. The script writer made a poor decision there!
@@cambiteroswebmasterNope, I don't think it was poor writing. We do lash out at people for their past behavior because of the things that are going on in our heads, ignoring the support these people are showing AT THE PRESENT. Of course that doesn't erase the past, that doesn't mean the politician friend may not have any dirt on him - we don't know.
But when we begin to realize something, we suddenly want the whole world to realize the same immediately 😊 We forget that wisdom is incomplete without compassion.
So these contradictions - I want to call out to a guy for being corrupt but I also want to use his corrupt influence to help me out in my life 😂😂 - are pretty much realistic, humane.
This is why I stopped using Facebook or Instagram. Very toxic places full of narcissists that will crush your self esteem and make you believe your life sucks.
💯
agree 100%
Learning to fall in love with life once again and to appreciate the world without owning it!... Love this movie!
without owning it! thats the key
Appreciate the world without owning it.
I liked this one
This movie was such an eye opener to me. There are lot of people specially men that does this.
We compare our life with friends. Thankfully my friends are not as bad as this guys.
When I told my feelings to one of my my friend he said this:
when ever you fell like you are not achieving enough. Remember one thing -
You are living someone else’s dream.
That was so heart touching I still remember it.
Today, I was recollecting my last 10 years. How I’m not as successful compared to the people that I know. Which led me to a downward spiral of negative thoughts and emotions. For some serendipitous reason, this video popped up on my feed, and change my perspective.
I'm in my twenties and already feel like the protagonist did in the first half 😞
Literally
@@richaroo5554I think it is not about feeling ashamed about ambitious life, more about the behaviour pattern people develop based on their success and failure of achievements of their goals. Trying to think good side or silver lining of situations and circumstances, and not to waste time in being envious or what they do not have.
i am use to this kind of feeling since 14....now i am 18
@@shivam_nagar69im about to be 24, man. You got a lot of time.. use it. Start changing your mindset to a positive one, it will be too hard to change later, and it would take a lot of effort to get out of the negativity.
In my twenties but soon gonna enter 30s and yes I too feel the same
In my 60's and have what many DON'T - when I'm by myself - in my room - door closed - alone in the dark/quiet - looking at my life - I have PEACE, JOY (deep happiness), and feel REALLY LOVED.
Great movie with a great message.. You do You, don't waste your time comparing yourself to others. Be happy and humble for what you have. Forget the haters 😉

An even better Ben Stiller movie is The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty. It's so good, and worth watching for the ending alone.
Richest person in the world is the one who is happy with what he has
Wisdom
and can be taken away anywhere anytime by someone financially rich just because he doesnt like you being happy.
The WEF subscribes to that lol.
@@TomatoTomato911 liquidate your assets into precious metals or something that doesn't get affected much by inflation or devaluation, and store it in underground vaults.
@@TomatoTomato911 nahh the less you own the more happy you become
I often have this outlook these days. Sometimes, we can't help but compare our lives to others. I always remind myself that doing our best in our situation is enough.
@esphaeraspraestans4212 social media has accelerated it but it is the values of society that starts it.
Jealousy is self inflected wound.
This is a good reminder. I'm getting sued, my girlfriend wants to break up with me and my research work is going poorly. I'm behind in life compared to my friends who are married with homes and kids. But at the same time I have no idea how their marriages are or how their kids are or if they can even afford the homes they live in. I have a lot to be grateful for even though this is a rough patch
Hope all goes well stay strong life is too short to be sad 🤛🏻
Stay strong mate .
All the best Bro❤
You're not alone, life spares no one, but there are plenty of moments to enjoy if we stay present and grateful
The "bigger" and "higher" status you get, the bigger and higher your problems become. It's always those at the top who fall the hardest when they do. It's just a different set of problems and enemies when you get to the top, no amount of money will change that.
10:49 "Life is not the sports that has to compete to win" ♥
Noone should ever be made feel shame for been any age. The fact we were even born is a miracle in itself and every day after is a blessing. Each birthday a milestone to say that no matter how hard this world can be , we made it another year. They should be handing out trophies to anyone that makes it past 30
“Compare yourself with who you were yesterday, not with who you are not today”
-Dr Jordan Peterson (“12 Rules for Life: an Antidote to Caos”)
“Life may not be the party that we hoped for, but while we’re still here we should dance”
Brad should be grateful for what he has and shouldn't be bitter
Yeah ! go tell him !
I mean, that's what the story lead to.
This is great for us who are in our 20s being bombarded by people like The Tate brothers etc...be happy with what you have now and work for your goals ,NEVER EVER COMPARE or be Arrogant,Egotistical and a Money Driven Maniac
But Bugattis are fire though, Tate definitely cringe.
enjoy being mediocre kid
I completely agree with what you're saying, but in all honesty the Tate brothers have always said to not compare yourself to them. Andrew especially has said to look at your own life and if you aren't happy with it then find ways to make it better. Trust me I am not the biggest supporters of the two, but they have always talked about hard work and how you can not separate that from success. I have to give respect to whom respect is due.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty 2: In An Alternate Universe
Thanks for this! Didn’t watch the movie but what a great message, thanks for the summary
Thanks to social media i feel all of it in my twenties
Good
This movie helped change the way I used to think... Life is whatvit is and we need to be happy about it... A great lesson for me...
This is amplified like 100x bcos of social medias, everyone are so competitive bcos they don't want to be branded losers, while at the process living a miserable life for being too try hard like a dog chasing its own tail. While the successful ones become narcissists
Very well put. I agree social media is one of the biggest culprits
Stoicism, brothers. Embrace it. Stop complaining. Don't expect sympathy. Stay calm and be grateful.
PLEASE NEVER STOP MAKING THIS TYPES OF POSITIVE RECAPS , unlike the rest who only care about erotic thumbnails and Views
These movies are just the reflections of all the personal thoughts of us and happenings of our lives
Brad thinks a lot..
Brad is just like me fr
we all do.
Thank you for this good movie ♥️

Great message movie, dont compare urself with the other, be the best part of u ❤️
Haven't watched it, but your narration... ❤ it
Good movie. Makes you think a little and count your blessings.
Great movie and great lesson on gratitude for life

Amazing movie, thanks! life is not a competition, i hope we all learn this.
Very Relatable. In the age of social media

This is so relatable...
Wholesome ending! 🥹❤️
What you need in life is a house, a land to farm for yourself and always prays for good health.... And don't watch toxic propaganda rich program it will missed you up.
What a beautiful movie ❤
Be grateful 🙏 for what you have
I am just putting this comment here to remember this lesson forever.
Life is a balance. A balance between pleasure and work. And a balance between hunger for more and being happy with what you have.
You are not going anywhere and neither is this world so stay here and enjoy your life, go through hardships with a smile knowing it will end.
I love this movie
family over money any day. its not even close.
Very good point. Brad's life has been okay.
Best movie, thanks for posting I too was insecure
I have never understood envy or jealosy.
that risks that you may me living within it.
Thank you...
The voiceover wasn't really necessary, but Ben Stiller does a good job carrying the movie with his serious performance.
I think the voiceover is important. He is shortening the film down and need to explain things quicker and shorter
That was nice.
I saw this movie beforehand its enjoyable.
I also am very envious.
Everyone is thinking about themselves 💯
If you know what you are doing and trust the process, you will have no room to envy anyone.
Why does this movie resonate with me?
Great
Never stop comparing.
the magic of Ben Stiller
"Merman dad! Merman!"
When you let your intrusive thoughts win .
This is what true Salvation is what Brad felt at the end...
Didnt know ben made another life type movie, not up on my alley but its pretty decent movie..
Brad's Status! Woooooow!
i hope many people are the older brad if they are not people can change
This father guy looks exactly like a a famous actor in the US from 10 years ago.
In this movie, I think the actor is Ben Stiller who is playing the Father role.
😌 I've always believed you have everything you need to survive and be happy no matter how big or small.
Really nice voice ✨
Brilliant
I HAVE THE FEELING THAT I RED THIS FILM IN THE BOOK THE MAGIC OF THINKING BIG
Good movie
every individual has there own meaning of success and for overwhelming majority it is wealth or status.
TBH, all my friends got married in their early 20s. By 30, they were looking down on me. I had an amazing runway modeling career, went to college, started a biz, got to travel the world- and they tried to make me feel like something was wrong with me. I kept doing what I wanted bc I didn’t have regrets. Met my hubs at 37 and sold my company. I am 46, & 3rd year law student. I have no regrets. My friends are all divorced except 1 who stays with a cheater who had her daughter calling his mistress “mommy 2.” I see vids of this generation shaming women for wanting to have careers and goals and put aside marriage and motherhood. DONT. Women are much more healthier having babies in their 30s. Ppl live longer and are less likely to divorce and finances are easier.
you made all of this up. including the part of videos shaming women to have a career. that’s your algorithm probably
You're right

Relatable
Comparison kills be grateful for what you have and if you want more work hard for it don’t compare your life to others
this is a great movie! stop the review and go ahead and watch it
It used to be a janitor or taxi driver making the protagonist live other the life he didn't choose
I am an intelligent, curious and healthy 57 year old woman who lives in her van. If I compared my life “on paper” to many others my age I would come up far short. All that would do is make me miserable. I know better. I know it’s standards set by society. I truly don’t miss anything that I don’t have. I’ve had an amazing, blessed, interesting life (so far).
i have no enemies
no one have any enemies
i thought it was tony blinken in the thumbnail
well thats sad
