Graduated in 2005, and can def say the F slur was constantly used while I was going thru school.
Separately, the two pole calculations is simple. One pole is further away from the equator. Take shadow measurements at both poles (which are the same height) throughout the day and the minimum value at each location is what is compared. The one further from the equator will have a longer shadow.

Just so you guys know Imane Khelif is not xy chromosome, that is what the IBA which is run by Russia claimed when they disqualified her and another female boxer via test that they both won't specify what tests they ran or the actual results. However the lab that ran testing for IBA did confirm that none of the tests they ran were chromosomal tests. Furthermore the country she lives in it is illegal to be trans so even false accusations of such could be dangerous for her.

Thank you. Yea, at the time we recorded this, USA today had posted an article saying that she was DSD. I have since learned that the chromosome thing was a lie.

The guy on the right isnt very smart lmao. The ancient greeks had telescopes and used them to calculate that the world was round somehow.. i think. They didnt "guesstimate"

It was Eratosthenes of Cyrene in the third century BCE. He was able to determine the shadow angle at one location when the sun was directly overhead at another, and the distance between the locations. From there he could figure out how many degrees of a circle existed between the locations (roughly 1/50 of a circle), and from there figure out the distance that 360 degrees would be. The biggest error was assuming the world is a perfect sphere, but it's actually just a little bit squashed. Absolute genius for the time though.
