I really like this but wish you included a carry case with it as do other 3 light kit brands do at the same price range 😢
In a world dominated by the bowens mount, you have to release a proprietary mount :(
Thats my concern too. Its proprietary, there's only 1 modifier available aside from umbrellas, and it doesn't lock. I've been poked by a falling softbox before and would never want a non-lockable magnetic mount in my studio
Is it compatible with other modifiers? (Especially Bowens/S Mount) the magnetic mount looks neat, but would be a safety issue for me if they're rigged above where a client could be
It’s also compatible with umbrella based modifiers with a built in umbrella mount that locks!
@@WestcottLighting thanks for the reply. Just to confirm, the softbox is held on only with magnets and doesn't have any mechanical latch/safety mechanism right?
@@steven_porter Yes it's just a magnetic connection for the diffusion dome and softbox, because they are really lightweight you could easily rig some additional safety tie-downs for overhead mounting. It has an umbrella mount built in, so you have a lot of larger options available!
Got it brand new out of the box. Push button and hold. Nothing. The digital indicators and dimmer all work and light up fine, no bulb. It powers up but no light. It's going back Saturday. It's a two hour drive. I picked it up in person. No shipping so it wasn't dropped, or was it.
