    Well done Chris for letting us all know about this year’s IPREM requirements. Following both you and Skatz I’m now feeling more confident about our future plans.

    Great stuff Chris. Since you mentioned both savings and passive income figures individually, it may be worth mentioning that the amount to be shown to qualify can be made up of a combination of savings and passive income.
    So as I understand it from your advice, if you are a couple and have 20000 euros coming in per year in pension, then you would only need 16000 in savings to add to meet the financial target of 36000 euros. But as you say, it is always better to show a bit more than the minimum. 👍
    Looking forward to the renewal video where I think this could be even more important to reduce the savings burden over the 2 years of the renewed visa.

      Agreed a video is needed to explain the passive Vs savings combi
      Was trying to keep this one simple as possible after seeing last year's again 😀

      @@Upsticks Not a criticism Chris, just adding a bit to your great content in case people are viewing to this in isolation. 👍

    Brilliant video Chris. Could you cover IPREM for someone coming to Spain on an Irish passport from UK with UK spouse. ❤

    • @Upsticks
      @Upsticks  6 місяців тому

      Slightly more dependent on the individual areas but normally it's 100% for the first applicant and 50% per family member, will look into doing a video about that as well thanks for asking

      @pilot_paul42 6 місяців тому +1

      Would be great as I thought it was 100% for Irish citizen and 150% for uk citizen

    If I have the savings in a UK bank, obviously in £ sterling, what rate is used to convert this to € euro?

    • @Upsticks
      @Upsticks  5 місяців тому +1

      The consulate does not advise the exchange system they use to calculate this, we always advise where possible to have the equivalent in sterling.

    Hi Im a pensioner hoping to move to Spain in the near future, renting first and will have to have the €28.800. (IPREM). If I buy a property do I still have to have the €28.800 or is it less because I've bought a property and won't have to pay rent.

    • @Upsticks
      @Upsticks  3 місяці тому +1

      It's best if possible to keep the cash amount as well because the consulate does not give us a specific value they assign to property ownership, drop us an email to support@upsticks.es and we can book in a call to chat if that would help

    If my passive income only 8200euro per year .
    & Saving 25000 euro
    Can i apply non lucrative visa..
    How about renewal how much i need savings for 2 years

    • @Upsticks
      @Upsticks  5 місяців тому +1

      That would be sufficient for the first year but fall short for the renewal. We are currently planning two more videos one which explains how to use passive income and savings joint and a updated renewal video both should be released some time in March

    Is cryptocurrency acceptable as savings

    • @Upsticks
      @Upsticks  4 місяці тому +1

      We have never submitted an application with crypto currency but its our understanding that it is extremely difficult to get it accepted
