thanks for the video, unfortunately 30 seconds into your video I realized that my Pannier mounting kit was missing all the hardware to install it, no bolts or spacers or any of that stuff.

      Hi Jamie,
Thats a pity, hope you got the kit from a reputable dealer or source? Hopefully you can contact them and they will send out the missing bits. Maybe a couple of quid off for the inconvenience. Its always worth asking for something for your time and disappointment. If you don't ask you don't get. And a happy customer will come back. Let me know how you get on?
      Ride safely.

      Hi Paul,
This was fitting the panniers and top box on the first day I had the New Bike delivered to the door. Getting it ready for a trip to the Shropshire Hills camping.
      Really enjoying the bike.

What a surprise! I am also considering swaping my 2022 NC750X DCT to the Transalp because I want to be able to go off road a bit.
But my NC is so easy to manoeuver and practical in the city I am hesitating. Can't have 2 bikes though!
Consider developping this subject of comparison and I guess you would have a lot of views... Thanks for sharing

I was still having doubts about changing out my NC ( this I think was because the NC was such a good bike) for a Transalp untill I had the Transalp for a week or so and then it became clear that this was the right move. It travels the byway with such confidence and cruises on the road better than the NC with plenty of umf to have more fun. I do miss the Trunk though.
Now I have made the change to the Transalp. I'm so pleased I have my Transalp.
Im realy looking forward to doing some trips and doing some camping on the bike this year.
      Ride safely.

Congratulations on purchasing your new Transalp.
I too, am considering swapping my 23 plate NC750X DCT, for the same bike.
I’d love to know how much you’re enjoying it, in comparison to your NC.

      Hi,
Now I have been riding it a couple of weeks (600m +), I am starting to get used to having a clutch again.(I still think the NC is a great bike in DCT).
The riding position is so comfy. I'm 5"7" and I can 95% flat foot it with my riding kit on.
The siting angle and room is better for my legs than the NC750X.
I love the extra power and its so nimble to ride.
My NC750X panniers and top box went straight on with no issues. The biggest issue was removing the barrels to re pin the locks to the new key. (£17.50 lock picking kit to remove the barrel worked a treat.)
Now I have the bike and made the change I'm realy pleased with the bike and not sorry I changed. If I have any issues later in life I would definitely go back to a NC750X DCT.
      Ride Safely.

Thank you for taking the time to reply in such detail
I came from a Triumph 1050 Speed Triple; and I think the drop in power, was a tad too much in hindsight. Overtakes need to be planned well in advance 😂
I’m also not a huge fan of the DCT box in traffic. I prefer to feather the clutch and back brake.
      Take care and ride safe.

Try a Transalp. It seams to have all for me. It may suit you?

What are your thoughts on the quality of the side bags? I heard that some people think they are low quality and regret buying them.

      Hi,
I keept my units from my NC750X. They have since been damaged as I lost my footing at a junction and droped the bike. They did however prevent the new Transalp from tuching the ground and getting damaged. I have moved back to my Hepco and Becker X Travel C bow panniers. I think I can get just as much in them and if I have a fall they will not crack. I have repaired the OEM plastic units and will keep them.
I will use the Hepco and Becker panniers this year and will let everyone know how I get on with them.
The OEM have the advantages of being able to lock them, other than that as long as the Hepco and Becker panniers prove to be weatherproof I not see any other advantage.
The Hepco and Becker panniers are well below half the cost of the OEM hard plastic units and are lighter and top loading.
Have you got any panniers in mind for your bike?
      Ride safely.

Hi, what's the internal height of the top box? I've got a big head with a big helmet, just a bit concerned it might not fit

      Hi,
It very difficult to measure the height inside. I can tell you that I can fit in two M helmets. I will try and work out the internal height and get back to you.

      Hi,
I didn't keep the NC. Just havent got the room to keep them all. To be honest it payed for a big chunk of the Transalp.
I am editing a small vidio of the new and old on the day I exchanged one for the other.
It should have been posted first I guess.
      Ride safely.

I think the original cases are to small 😄🤙

I have to agree, not much space in the Transalp panniers. The NC panniers are bigger and they are the same size and profile as the NT ones.
Much better, but I did put some heat resistant material on my pannier over the exhaust area just in case.
      Ride safely.
