Have you done a breakdown of how the major scale works? I thought it was really insightful how you showed the solo and the scale basically side by side. This solo reminded me of the solo from Don’t Stop Believing - I’d love that too haha 🙌🏼
@@oyamasmusic Thank you. I do have a playlist on modes. Check that out when. you can. Very happy that you enjoyed the vid and found it helpful. Yes, that one goes right down the scale. So true, Don't stop believing is a similar vibe. Great stuff for sure.
@@oyamasmusic Yes. Thank you. I mention it in the description but I'll mention it here too. For this video I plug my guitar straight into my Hotone pedal then into my Apollo twin interface. The sound is coming from a plugin. It's the Marshall Silver Anniversary. Love it. Check out the links in my description. Really great stuff. Thank you for asking. Hope that helps.
Jerry great video and solo as always. Love the outfit. Reminds me of the day :) Abba was about all that got play time in the 70's. They were a busy band that is for certain.
Thank you Bill. Very cool of you. I became a big Abba fan when I joined an Abba tribute band some years ago. Fell in love with their music when I learned it. Just awesome.
@@JerryCherryBand *Jerry* I must confess I was not an Abba fan in the 70's they played it so much on the local radio stations that I got sick of Abba. I gained a new appreciation in 2009 when Amazon gave an offer of both digital and complete CD Abba collection. Not sure how long they had been doing digital music but this was part of their effort to get people to start doing digital instead of hard copy. Best of both worlds I went for it. $40 after discount "The Albums" boxed set but it was the digital allure that got me. When you listen to them straight through it is amazing just how many original songs Abba did back then. I like both digital and CD format. (Yes they are same really when you think about it, but MP3's rock. Hopefully it will be a while before the industry changes again. Remember .wav? still around too.) smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B001F9Y2CM/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 No mention of coming with digital format anymore. TTYL 🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒
@@BillDubeVariety Very cool Bill. I get ya. I was never a fan of Abba really. I liked them but it wasn’t love. I only knew a few songs. When I got the opportunity to play in a tribute band back in 2011 or 12, I had to learn the music. That’s when I fell in love with them. As a Songwritter I really appreciate the mastery of their writing. The 4 had such a connection too as a creative force. I actually enjoy listening to their albums, MP3s to this day. Also, I use .wav everyday. It’s pretty much the standard file format for bouncing my Protools recordings to high quality files. An MP3 song could be 8mb. The same song as a wav could be 60mb. You probably know that already. Thanx Bill.
Hey Bjorn. Just checked out your Facebook clip of your gig. You rocked it Cherry! Awesome. Remember. Be Kind . Be Cool and check out Bjorn Cherry.... Great stuff Jerry. See you Sunday.
This was awesome! I’ve been playing acoustic rhythm guitar for decades but just now getting started with electric. To be honest, it’s very intimidating- but your tutorial highlighted an awesome riff and broke it down so simply and clearly! So hyped to give it a go! Great vid, #vrafam! Subbed!
Thank you Ed for the great comment. I think you’ll find it easier to play your acoustic chords on electric. The action should be lower. I’m so happy that you watched and found my tutorial helpful. That’s so cool. You’ll pick it up fine. Any questions please ask. Love to help. #vrafam for sure. I wasn’t that familiar with ABBA’s music either till I joined the tribute band and learned a lot of it. Then I fell in love with it. Go back and listen to the albums. Great stuff. Thank you my friend.
You got the smiles down like ABBA always had. What's not to smile about when the music is so good ;)
Such a cool comment. They did have a certain smile that was pure, unique and natural. Great music. Thank you.
Are there any songs or solo’s that you would like me to teach? Any music theory? Please tell me here in the comments. I’d love to know. Thank you.

@@JerryCherryBand nice! So good. Oh I remember my other question now - do you have an FX chain to get that sound you’re getting in the video?
