Just bought this today for 140 bucks. Your video explained it perfectly. The par thing is what throws everyone off. But wanted to say thanks from Colorado ✌🏿
If you set a timer you can dry fire practice It’ll give you a beep then a second beep (try to dry fire before the second peep) and eventually you can keep lowering the time for the second beep
My gun range has sectioned off bays that are 50 yards wide and 50 yards long with berms on all three sides. If someone is shooting in the next bay over do you think the timer will pick up their shots as well?
@@920Tactical There is a sensitivity adjustment inside the battery compartment. Pact suggests that you don't "mess" with the settings. I've used it on an insanely busy range and it almost always just picked up my shots.
@@theshepherd6779 heck yes it works in the rain, many many times over. And the .22 just depends-it will miss some of your rounds if it’s a long barrel or suppressed-just too quiet for the timer to pick up. Have the person running the timer put it right next to your shooting shoulder and it should help. Good luck!
The factory preset is not sensitive enough to register dry fire hammer falls and the instructions specifically say, "... we strongly reccomend that you do NOT mess with..." the sensitivity adjustment. It won't even pick up the sound from my green gas air soft clone of my HK USPc carry pistol. This timer is useless for 75% of my handgun practice.
Every video for this timer starts with how to set the par timer. I don't get it. The par timer is an *additional feature*. First you teach how to time shots. No par timer needed. If you're going to teach someone how to use an item, you show the MOST simple way First (No par timer), THEN you show them the more complicated functions. First we will learn to parallel park, then after that we will introduce you to the gas and the brake pedal. Honestly I don't get it.
Who needs the Manual when you have this guy?!
One of the best tutorial on the pact 3.
This is perfect, you got right to the points👌
Thanks, great explanation of how to set this up.

Anytime!
I'm thinking we need a manual update! Thanks guys!

does this work for dry fire as well ?

Can you set the beep volume lower for when dry firing inside?
I don’t think you can, but you can cover it up with masking tape
@@920Tactical good idea! Thank you 🙏
@@920Tactical just dry fired with painters tape on it and it works perfectly. 40% volume. Great idea! Thanks again.
@@davidhodge144 glad it worked :)

That is a great question, from what I’ve seen it doesn’t pick it up, might be a question for PACT

@@stevemccormick3968 I haven’t touched mine yet and don’t plan onto
Hi
How durable is this
And is it ok to use in the rain
I haven’t used it in the rain. My guess is it won’t work too well having the drum exposed and it relies on noise to activate
@@920Tactical thanks
Does it work for .22?
@@theshepherd6779 I’m not 100% sure. I’ve read sometimes it works. Might have to reach out to PACT on that one :) thanks!
@@920Tactical thanks a lot

Howmuch the shot timer?
Roughly 120 bucks
Just that a curiosity can't my phone do the same exact thing?
I’ve read there’s apps you can download, but nothing compared to the real deal. Not sure if the phone has a built in sound detector, etc
Plz tell the prices of the things you review
I provide a link in the description box below :) but yes I will going forward thanks for the feedback
