I dont understand why people have a problem when people want to pronounce English well... When you learn any language, trying to learn it properly is good... When someone speaks wrong Urdu or Arabic, will people like it?? Same goes with Sanskrit, we wouldnt want to pronounce it wrong..
The right dose of words after a sumptuous bengali Sunday afternoon meal. thoroughly enjoyed it.😁😄😃
Another word is 'promiscuous' that (I've noticed) pple often mispronounce as 'promee-chious'. Also, 'Fascimile' as ' faci-mile'. Loved this video 😄
Please do one on rebus puzzles and portmanteau words. And some more mispronounced words like gourd, epitome, chasm, rendezvou…
My heartiest gratitude sir for this video🙏...I have often been the laughing stock even among English speaking people for pronouncing "asthma" as "asma"...another word is "dengue" the deadly disease...which should be pronounced as "dengi" and not "dengu"...thank you so much sir for this eye opener...🙏✨️...Wishing you a prosperous Holi...may this festival of colours fill your life with lots of happiness 🎉...looking forward to more such videos 🎉🎉.
Literally the examples with application of words you cite occasionally are often more interesting for me than the word itself…Would it at all be possible for you to provide those sentences in the description box?
My favourite channel for learning stuff. What a great teacher you are!
Thank you!
You are really doing a great job
Thanks 😊
Dear English Nut, when the pigeon of your video alights on my notification bar, making me asmathic fugaciously then I come out from my cupboard of mundane tasks. Here you serve something on my platter that is spicier than jalapenos and tastier than salmon which is a full scrumptious meal that just extinguishes my hunger of lexicon stomach and the way you say, Bye for now is akin to feeding me the sweetest dessert possible....
Man just tell me how you do it...!
It makes your tastebuds to do the merry dance of anticipation. Your way of buliding sentences has just got all my ❤❤❤
Thank you. I'm so glad you appreciate my videos. 🙂
@@TheEnglishNut You deserve all the tea in china.... 💛
Thanks .😊
Love your subtle humour
Thank you sir
#MoreWords This was interesting. Some other mispronounced words in English include calcium, potassium, rapport, extempore, genre, hyperbole, mythology. These words are commonly misoronounced in India.
Loved it! Thank you sir!🌷
What would I not sacrifice to hear someone say "PIE-GEN" out on the streets. 😂
I was really worried that I would be mispronouncing these words but after watching the video... I can say I HAD NO ERRORS! YAY!
Indeed an informative video. Thank you very much
Mr English nut please try to get back mr shashi tharoor once again for another conversation 😸
Good one sir ❤
Leicester is really tricky...
😅 am always testing my pronunciation when your view shows up. Thanks 🙏🏻

Let's slice it correctly 😎

Hi, I love your content. And I loved the episodes with Mr. Ruskin Bond. I am taking my students to Mussoorie for a competition at Wynberg-Allen School on the 26th-28th April. Would it be possible to meet Ruskin Sir? Could you help?
I don’t have his contact details. That’s a closely guarded secret. Someone had contacted me on his behalf.
Hey there!
Saw you in Big Girls Don't Cry ❤
🙂
Quite a few European languages don't use the 'j' sound (jalapeno), turn it into 'y' or 'h'. Wonder why.
Another oft mispronounced word is 'bowl' when referring to a katora (not when discussing cricket). Many Indians say 'bowel', why I wonder.
Thank God, I was right about all but Leicester, which I have never heard.
Sir Could you please tell me how to pronounce "Z" as zee or Zad?
Gen Z is pronounce as Gen Zee or Gen Zad
American - Zee, British - Zed.
Gen Zee because it’s a phrase coined in America where they pronounce Z as zee. But in all other contexts we should pronounce Z as zed-not zad.
I've heard pigon....
😊
Can we ask "what's for dessert-s" and have a jalebi for dessert"? Or "what did you have in dessert or desserts?
What’s for dessert? What did you have for dessert? Use ‘for’ and dessert in the singular.
Roman script doesn't embed pronunciation in words & thats the problem & not people not aboe to pronounce. Simple.
As long as we communicate our ideas, what does it matter? People all over the world pronounce english differently.
True. My videos are for people who care about how they pronounce words.
Cool. As long as you pronounce your sanskrit right!❤
Let’s take a deep breath, like someone with asthma enjoying a peaceful day without any triggers. Imagine we’re pigeons, not concerned with the heat of a jalapeño, but simply with the view from atop Leicester’s grand buildings. Let’s focus on what’s important, like ensuring the salmon in the cupboard is fresh for tonight’s dessert, rather than arguing over trivial matters that won’t matter in the long run!
this is the stupidest argument I hear all the time. why learn English in the first place then, if you are going to mispronounce words? let's just use hand gestures to communicate.

Ask the Chinese. Koreans. South Indians this 😅
What's with only these 3?
