2023 snow just will not stop. Warm weather is on the horizon, but it's not happening soon enough. That being said, this Spring and Summer is going to be epic :)

We got some good snow tires and luckily snow did not prevent us from doing anything!

As long as you have solid tires and know how to drive in the snow, you will be just fine.

I have not yet relocated to Carson City. So I am glad I missed this unusually cold winter. Hope to be there is the Spring.

I live in a snow belt in north western Pa. we had no winter this year. I would not call it "climate change" Maybe climate shifts, but i prefer the dryness of Nevada. I love Las Vegas, I lived there from 86 to 2002. i would love to live around the Tahoe area, but not sure i can afford the housing. Maybe Carson city area. Love the openness and freedom.

Absolutely, we are with you. We love the dry heat, but in order to afford a cabin around Tahoe you'll have to sell a kidney and lung these days... That being said, the beauty is unmatched. Let us know if we can help with the move, I think Ryan has a doc in the black market :/

Would much rather have a snowy day than a hot and muggy one.
Love your guys content but I do think it’s a bit disingenuous that you mention the weather isn’t always this cold. If you’ve lived here for some time you know it absolutely gets cold. Northern Nevada is no joke. 4 wheel drive is a must. I wouldn’t look at it as a flaw but embrace it as positive trait. 4 seasons builds character.

Agreed to an extent. I could have got along with front wheel drive the past 8 years in a row, but I'm also coming from Northern Idaho. I guess it's subjective in the sense that it depends on your skill. We definitely get where you're coming from and 95% of you should not drive unless you have 4WD.

I've been considering moving to Flordia, but I hate the heat and beaches...but it less expensive than NY. Now, I'm considering Reno. I've been researching and it sounds like somewhere I'd like to be in my dwindling yrs(I'm 63 in Nov.) The snow you talk about in this video sounds like the winters in NY, only with GREAT views.
Any info would be helpful, Thanks.

I would say the winters here are far from NY, although I have never experienced a NY winter. The winter we had in 2023 set records for snowfall in the Sierra Nevada's, and snow stuck around in the valley a little lomger than normal, but it wasn't terrible. Shoot us an email and we can chat a little more in depth.

I thought the globe was warming.

Northern Nevada has worst winters then North Idaho.

Definitely depends on what we are comparing. This year with snow fall, N. Idaho cannot compare. Average winters I'd take Reno winters over Coeur d'Alene winters all day long.

We should switch to electric cars, burn some more coal at the power plants to charge them. Then the globe will warm.????

    Did Carson get it bad?

Carson is still getting hit with snow, but it will be melted off by Monday.... Unfortunately, we're expecting another winter storm starting Monday. This is out of the ordinary, but this Summer is going to be amazing. (fingers crossed)
