It doesn't help that the Eng VA (Sarah Anne Williams) is known for voice acting psycho characters. This was likely intentional.

I started getting suspicious of her as soon as she started talking about seeing human beings as little more than cute pets to have around. She’s craaazy
she's centuries old and is surrounded by LITERALLY different species.
You can say the crazy part lies in the dialogue where she wants Neuvilette to come into the prison to enjoy some darkness and chaos.

At first I thought she was narcissistic, but she lacks the element of grandiosity, of telling stories of herself as the center of the world. She lacks empathy, yes. That is why she must learn about emotions intellectually. And the most obvious is her excitement at developing the ability to manipulate others by keeping them deceived. I agree with the analysis. This Archon quest is showing one thing the others didn’t... Its the leverage the Traveler has at this point. Even the main Harbinger said she wouldn’t be opposed to working with the Traveler if survival required it. The Traveler is practically a walking Gnosis that nobody can remove but everyone wants on their side...
to be fair at this point the traveler has basically been in multiple scenarios that seemed practically impossible to some and came out alright, heck they fight actually archons and could talk about it casually

I think Neuvillette seems to turn a blind eye to the deceitful sides of people he trusts like his voice line about Wriothesley implies. Wriothesley did say that Neuvillette has a knack for figuring out those with good intentions. While Sigewinne does have a questionable way of thinking im sure she's genuinely caring as well.
To be fair, he does have a soft spot for Melusines in general. When his voice lines were first leaked, I had a good laugh that of all the ridiculous laws of Fontaine, he expresses great happiness for the one that punishes people who use the wrong pronouns for Melusines.

I genuinely think there's nothing wrong with Sigewinne's personality, and I really love her. She's good at her job, loyal to Wriothesly, observant, and smart. Also, MC and Lyney are literally "spies" who are trying to dig out top-secret information from them, and Lyney is literally trying to attack Wriothesly. if she really is a human melusine hybrid as some might suspect...imagine she is like that cause of two conflicting traits. Melusines are innocent type and always wanting to help where as humans are curious type (at least more than melsuine i assume). If it was a normal melusine, they would've just tried their best to help in their own way, but since Sigewinne might be half human she got those human brain juices feeling curious and wanting to learn more.
Which is why I really don't like her. All of the Melusines we've known were all honest earnest folk who wore their hearts on their sleeves.

It’s nonsensical that people are acting as if she’s unreasonable for shooting Lyney. The dude’s a *Fatui infiltrator* who was about to assault her boss. She would’ve been frankly justified in causing bodily harm if she so chose, that she opted to use non-lethal means is a testament to her mercy.
Also it was for his own good, if he had landed a hit then he’d be totally fucked. An infiltrator harming the Warden is a great way to get a guaranteed execution. As she said, it was the course of action that minimized harm.
The video’s fine but some of y’all need to work on your media literacy. Nothing she did was wrong.
I think people tend to project their feelings and particular expectations on something they perceive as cute. And then throw a strong response when they get the hint of something slightly contrary to their fantasies in that department.

what i love about fontaine's storyline so much are the perspectives. They showed sigewinne and wriothestly as some sort of villains first because we were looking at them through lyney's perspective , but after they revealed their true intentions you can see that they meant well and from their perspective they had all the right to subdue fatui who were continuously breaking in their fortress and spying on them.
Surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one.
To me, such personality seems far more interesting than “yet another cute little child” I originally thought she would be.
She may be a little psychopath, but it's born more out of alien nature and her intentions rarely hold malice. She cares a lot, just in a very weird way.

Sarah Williams has a track record of voicing this type of cute but a little psychotic character (Nonon, Cagliostro, Marni, Mami, Whitney, Yuniko, Suzumaru, Midari, etc etc) so I don't know why I expected this one to be any different.
Sociopath and psychopath are not the same.
Sociopath has high possibility to harm other, where as psychopath has the high possibility to deceive others, in her case she likes to control others, also both sociopath and psychopath do lack empathy, but sociopath are born with empathy but gets detoriorated due to social bullying, where as psychopath lack empathy from childhood, both psychopath and sociopath wants to belong in a place where despite being a sociopath or psychopath they can be welcomed,

She's good at her job. I totally get her, dont get me wrong. But it irks me how chirpy she is even after the stunt she pulled. Like I feel other characters do show some change in their voice. Maybe it's a Melusine thing? It's just a pet peeve of mine.
To her, humans are like pets. Some of them may go wild, but it's better not to go too rough with them and treat them with chill.
At the end of the day, she's very open about it anyway - she understands she's weird in others' eyes - but that's what she is. It's highly likely that trying to look trustworthy is something she developed after she found her normal behavior alienating people.
All melusines have the same goal. Find the meaning behind their existence and be accepted. It is something they got from Elynas, obviously.
Since I'm too busy to do the Melusine quest, could someone explain to me who Elynas is? You yourself don't have to or course, but I just can't find any videos summarizing the quest line... So if someone could redirected, or even reply back to me.

The melusines came from Elynas, who in turn came from her, which would make her a grandmother, in a sense. For those who don't remember Rhinedottir, she was also responsible for creating Albedo, Durin, and the Rifthounds.

(Sorry, my comment is a bit long) In fact, my own opinion about Sigewinne is different from the rest. I think she is smart and different, as she has two personalities, the gentle and the manipulative. It makes the events more exciting and exciting, and her personality is full of mystery. For example, why is she the only Saiwin who resembles humans? And where is her family? Why did she decide to become a nurse despite her young age? I think when she said (I like smart people, but I also like to play stupid, I like to feel confident) she meant that others will not like her when she acts like herself and likes for people to trust her. It is possible that she might She lost her family due to a disease, and then she was bullied (as N said) because she looked like a human-like moose. Its nature. Well, we cannot judge her from now, and we do not even know her past or anything about her. The reason why she is in jail:
I genuinely hope she's the kind of character who "will kill you without your consent so as to relief your suffering, and thinks it's a correct act", since she's a melusine, she may have different moral value than humans.
And some saying she has empathy, I think she may have but not the kind of empathy a nurse should treat patient with. I think it's a mix of wanting to do the job assigned by Neuvillette well + she finds human interesting just like cute small animals, so she got a sense of protection. Now this reminds me of how people will shoot tranquilizer at animals who goes berserk, maybe same logic as how she shoot lyney to prevent him hurting others and himself.

After playing the 4.0 World Quests, I knew that a playable Melusine (even if she has weirdly human hands and face) would be quite interesting. I am so happy that she turned out as adorifying as she did, even if not actively opposed to the heros. Honestly, I found her help closer to the end to be _more_ surprising than her initial appearance being an act.
This is seriously over-exaggerating. Sigewinne is a very nice character deep down with a good heart and also has the trust of Neuvillette for a reason.
