Have them on my 2016 thanks to a video like this you did a couple years ago. Best struts out there, love the soft open action. Side note, you can put a slit from the hole drilled to the edge of the cover so you can take the battery cover off without unhooking the hood strut.
@simbaco531 Very difficult to place passenger side to the frame hole. Does not stay it shift when you closed the hood. Torque used 20 does not grab to metal . Parts are bend the washer is poor and the nut has small wings to grab metal frame. Any suggestions,. Upset owner. I spend hours trying to make it work,no results.
I got one from ebay for 2019 mustang. When I saw how much my hood is bending while trying to close it I give up on that. After unscrewing it bolt break off from hood. Looks nice but unfortunately puts too much stress on hood itself
Notice how the camera cuts away when he's installing the fender mount? There's a reason for that -- that's the trickiest part of the installation by far. I've done this several times now, and I struggle with it every time. Does anyone know of a clever way of making sure the red part is seated before tightening it down?
I think you're probably going a bit overboard. Most all Mustang enthusiasts that routinely either work on, upgrade, or show their cars have hood struts like these installed.
My guess is Ford got tired of replacing wore trunk struts on their SUV's and seen this maybe a future problem with the hoods ,plus the cost of a prop rod is less than hood struts. Rich people problems🤔
@@2loco It's really not. Ford has no problems whatsoever selling these Mustangs. They can't build them fast enough. It's a "nice to have," definitely not a necessity.

I like the redline struts. Great upgrade.
These are great! Nice watch!
I put them on my 2006 'vert. Great little mod.

Good vid, thank you! Link to the product is missing...
anyone else have concerns about hood cracking cause of the pressure of the struts when closing the hood or am I just paranoid?

What is the difference between this model and the elite besides color?
That's the only difference. The Elite model is stainless steel and silver in color.
What happened to the two bolt system on the hood?
You're thinking of the Roush package. Redlines have always had a one bolt system for the hood.
找到靠谱的配件很难。可惜现在买不到美国的改装配件!!!

Can't believe this is still not done by Ford. Geez, catch up!
So why doesn't ford install these as stock? 🤦♂️🤣🤣
Why don't they? Likely because it's not something customers are clamoring for. People that really want these can easily get them in the aftermarket.
@@fillflashdetailer8838. It's obviously an issue when a 1986 toyota comes with them and a 2020 mustang doesn't.
