🔴 This Video includes,
The method of Controlling Any Electrical Item through SMS by using a SIM800L GSM Module and Arduino. This explains the way of SIM800 GSM module working and method of connecting SIM800 GSM module with an Arduino Board. And also, I have shown, how to make a good SIM800 GSM module power supply easily.
This Arduino Tutorial has explained in very simple level and anyone will be able to understand it. I have explained the Arduino Code line by Line clearly.
If you want, you can use a SIM900 GSM module instead of this SIM800 GSM module. The Arduino Code will be same for it also.

Is there anyway to mod this to respond to a call rather than a text ... I don't need it to answer ! I need to operate a relay or bell on ring and stop when the ring ends .....
Our sip phones used to use a function "ring anywhere' that rang an analog line with a factory bell attached .. But the pstn line has been removed .. I could use ring anywhere to ring one of these modules and relay a bell to ring ... But I don't know how to write the code to respond to rings, or even if its possible .

use rechargable 18650 lithium battery. usually it can provide power the module for long period before recharging again. you can use a dc to dc buck converter also to power up the gsm module

1000uf will work. but dropping the power using diods can cause problems. 5v pin cant provide enough current for GSM module

2200mf capacitor is really needed since you used buckdown converter?
if your supply is able to provide 2 Amps, it will not compulsory . But i recommend to use it
You should at least use a 470uF capacitor, especially if you have a bad signal - the SIM800X modules are infamous for connection issues because of a low capacitance.
My sim800l got briked i think it is due to i have updated the firmware 14series.

How can I change baud rate? Or how can I find the current baud rate in order to change it?

change baud rate in the arduino code, that is what he means. The SIM800L module has its own built-in baud rate. In your arduino code, you should spesify it. Try different baud rates, normally 9600 or 19200 works.
