Hey Dan, it was a pleasure meeting you by the parking lot and I'm going to send a picture of the pvc roller-thru strap set up when I get mines ready... 👍👍👍
that day I had a worse catch than you, I was swimming on a blue kayak near you 😁 it's good to see you in action 💪. I was swimming blindly because my new Lowrence 7 showed "stopped" on the screen. After returning home, I solved the problem 🙈😅
Thank you for the comment! I didn’t know about that tournament until your comment… it sounds fun, though that particular weekend looks like it will be a tough one for my schedule
Thanks for posting. Your net looks like it would be good for fluke, bluefish and stripers. I see the links for your gear included on your post and was going to purchase the net you are using. What size is it?
I have a custom built pvc mount that fits in the rod holder… it’s nice as it’s relatively easy to put in the boat, and doesn’t involve any drilling or cutting into the kayak! It also allows you to use the pedals at the same time! I learned about it from my friend Peter Ranieri’s UA-cam channel… check it out if you’re considering making one!
That was some tough fishing
Yeah, the early season can be tough!

Likewise! Thanks for the tip, I’ll see what I can scramble together for loading up the boat in future sessions!
Hey where do you launch from. Id like to get into Kayak fishing and would like to know how to get started, and where most kayakers in NYC launch from.

Oh darn! Yeah, I’ve had that issue with some of my fish finders in the past too… glad you figured out the fix for next time!
Hi Dan, great vid as always. Are planning on fishing the Duke of Fluke tournament on 6/23?

Thanks for the video man! I thiught that first measurable fish was gonna be bigger judging by the way your rod bent at the initial hook set!
Haha, yeah, that’s what I was thinking in the moment… it’s likely because it was hooked funny!

Hey Dan what depth were these fluke at? You don’t have any problem holding bottom with only 1/2 oz?
They were in 22-30 feet… I’m fishing 8lb test braid, and actively peddling to hold bottom well with the tide
@@FishinAccomplished gotcha ok, would you say the 8lb braid helps hold bottom with lighter jigs as opposed to 20lb? That’s what I use right now
Where is this rhode island
New York City
how do you use troll motor? How does it attach?

Is there a video on how to make the setup? My son in law wants to add a motor to his kayak.
Use a teaser hook
Thanks for the feedback, though I generally prefer using the single jig
