How to Remove Apps from a Smart TV

From what I've seen online and in the manual, this technique should work on all Vizio TVs and models from some other companies as well.
Situation: About once a year something goes wrong with my TV to the extent that a factory reset is required. After the factory reset, we have to input information and set up our internet. Many people like to customize the apps that their TV has available to them.
None of the solutions online worked. The information in the manual did not help. But, I solved the problem last year and had to figure out what I did to get it to work.
The issue: We are supposed to "Double Click" 2x the "V" button near the center of the remote. The first click gives us the Apps Dock. The second click (timing does not matter) gives us the Apps menu. However, whenever I 2x the "V" button, it merely blanked out the screen , as shown in the video.
What caused the problem: After the TV went through a factory reset "FR" it did an automatic update. Then we put in the pertinent information, including our WiFi info. At this point, we should be able to 2x the "V" button and get into the Apps menu to add/remove apps.
This did not work because: I don't know. However, we redid the FR and did not put in any WiFi information. Then we tried to go to the Apps menu and were directed to input our WiFi information. After we input the information (second time) everything worked as it is supposed to.
Conclusion: If you are having problem with the 2x "V" getting you into the Apps menu: Do another FR and don't input your WiFi information until after trying to get into the Apps Menu. Then input the WiFi information.
I am making this video because I figure in a year, I'll have to do this again. At that time, I might not remember what I need to do to resolve this issue.

Press and hold the app for 3+ seconds, click ok again to delete.
Steps.
1. Hold OK for 3 seconds.
2. Press OK.
3. Confirm deletion.

Nah it's not annoying, it's just that I and some other people are strictly curious about the actual "Deletion" and the rest, although good, might be off putting to people who already have completed that process.

I have not encountered that problem before. I haven't seen anything about it in the manual either. Sorry I can't help you out.
This doesn't delete or uninstall the app it just deletes the bookmark. Would love to know how to actually uninstall/reinstall apps.
Actually I don't think you can add or remove apps. I just did a reset to factory and all the same apps are still there. It just comes with a default set of apps I guess.
Still didn't fix my problem with plex app.. guess I'll just use a firestick instead.

Sorry, but I'm not exactly sure about that. My only concern was getting rid of all the apps because there wasn't anything we wanted to use.
I have the yahoo smart tv but how you get the connection tv store? Is it discounted?
It was automatically on my TV when I got it. I've had to do a factory reset of the TV a couple of times. Whenever I do that reset all of those apps come right back. I wish I could be more help. Unfortunately, that's all I know. Thank you for watching and asking.

Some of these videos have twitter, Facebook , flicker, blockbuster on demand , Skype, old amazon prime/instan video, ebay and MySpace. And there is even a app for it but I will try to put more widgets that are not available in the current model soon and that all the information I know about the yahoo smart tv
How do you add apps?
Click "V" on the remote.
On of the onscreen choices will be "App Store".
How to add app and tv vizio
Press the "V" button to go into the apps menu.
Arrow over to "App Store"
You do every th thing from there.
I can't help further because we disabled internet from the TV.
