In 999 out of a thousand cases, it's not a dog problem. It's the people. This puppy was brought along properly. I pity anyone strange who tries to lay a finger on that child while she's with that dog.
Me too. When I was a baby my mom would put me in my playpen out in the front yard (Florida). She had a boxer who loved her as much as she loved him. She told me one time the phone rang and she ran inside to answer it. She came outside to find a man on the sidewalk afraid to move because Gus was standing in front of him growling. Gus didn't step onto the sidewalk but was making sure the man didn't step into the yard. Mom called Gus and he walked away but followed the man his whole way past our house and out of sight. Mom never felt afraid to leave me alone after that if she had to run inside the house for anything as long as Gus was with me.
I agree 💯% that it is a people problem not a puppy/doggo problem. I also agree that if somebody tried to mess with that child they would probably get a bone broken, a lamb would be missing or a chunk of flesh would be missing. When a dog is trained correctly from a puppy up until it is full grown and raised with that child it is extremely protective of that baby as if it was its own baby. Thank You for saying what a lot of us were thinking and about to comment but You said it perfectly. GOD Bless You.
There are no bad dogs in my opinion. Just dogs who have experienced bad people. Dogs just want to please us and see us happy, being the best reciprocal relationship that I have ever seen.
Precious. Perfect example to prove the truth of 'not bad dogs, just bad owners'. With proper socialisation, exercise, love, and upbringing, the magical results speak for themselves. What an absolutely wonderful and magical friendship. It makes my heart happy.
My wife has been in the hospital for seven days. She failed a stress test and was brought right to the ER. She had three blocked arteries and had to have open heart surgery. Everything went well. Our dogs have been missing their Mommy the whole time. She got home last night, our Pittie mix and American Fox Hound rescue dogs have been guarding Mom and are so delicate and delighted she is home. Between myself, my daughters and our dogs she is doing very well and on the fast road to recovery. We have always had Pittie’s in our home and they are wonderful!!! 😎❤️👍👍
Prayers for your wife's continued recovery! It sounds like she has all the love and help she needs while she recovers, for sure. God Bless you all!!!❤❤❤
As much as I understand people saying things like "watch that dog around the child" ...for me, that's ANY animal. I have had 2 Pitties & they are the sweetest dogs. Now, I as well feel that when you own an animal, if you Love it, it will LOVE you back 10 fold. If you are mean to it, it will be mean back!! Those two look like they're best buddies & I hope they have a good long life growing up together!!
The first thing I noticed was that he is an American Bulldog and not a Pit Bull. You would think a channel that does dog videos would know the difference
First, your daughter is beautiful. It is evident that both the dog & child have been supervised and taught to be respectful and kind to each other. I am a Peds NP and have seen many dog bites thru the years. Only 1 of these was a pit bull. Children and dogs must be taught how to treat each other and what is & isn’t ok. They should ALWAYS be supervised as well. Thank you for this lovely reminder of the love between a child and their dog. You have shown us how to make this relationship work.
@annetheurich507, you hit the nail on the head 200% very rarely do pitbulls bite kids. They both do need supervision, yes, but especially the baby since they're very young and inexperienced.
This made me happy. I don’t have human children, but my ‘daughter’ is a pit. Any pit parent would tell you how sweet they are. That child has the best nanny, best bodyguard and best friend any parent can ask for.
As long as the dog is aware of its size and strength, and appropriate play behaviors with such a small human, they do great! Some get too excited and their tail can definitely take out a toddler (or an in sturdy adult at the knees lol)
So precious!! Both Willow, and Yogi!! Pittes are so amazing, and incredibly intelligent!! I just love this song, and the editing! Watching willow grow with yogi by her side is absolutely incredible!! ❤❤❤❤
Who cares what breed it is. The dog is clearly well trained and sweet people need to shut up with the anti pitbull bullcrap, it's such an old argument.
Dear Yogi and beautiful Willow have such a special bond that will last a lifetime!! So glad you didn’t listen to the awful negativity out there. You know your dog better than anyone. And you were right! Match made on Heaven!! 💕
PEOPLE ARE CRAZY!! THIS PRETTY PITTIE LOVES AND AFORED THIS CUTE LITTLE BUNDLE OF JOY!! LOOK AT HOW WELL THEY GEY ALONG!! JUST COMPLETELY PRICELESS!!! IT'S LIKE YOGI AND BOO-BOO!!
They are the most amazing dogs! I will always have at least one pittie!! Mine goes shopping with me to keep him socialized. Everyone at Hobhy Lobby loves him😊. But don’t step foot in my property if he doesn’t know you!!! He’s fantastic with my grandson who’s severely ADHD & autistic, I taught my grandson to calm himself down and then how to handle Scout and he does fantastic. That is one lucky little girl, she’s got a best friend and protector for life!! So beautiful💕♥️
FACT: That "nanny dog" thing, was lie created by a pit bull breeder by the name of Lillian V. Rant. She wrote in a dog magazine “The Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club” an article back in 1971. Then 10 years later in 1981 Lillian Rant wrote a book “Staffordshire Bull Terriers (Owner’s Companion)” that referenced her 1971 magazine article. To drum up her business and to bred more pit bull to sell. It was about making money and nothing about the truth and safety. Before that, the only reference to a nanny dog was in play Peter Pan in 1904 and the dog was a "nanny dog" which was a fictional newfoundland dog named Nana that was actually a man dressed in a dog costume. The reality is that no one should use any breed of dog to care for a baby or toddler.
So adorable, made me tear up! Makes you wonder who "they" are, that said he could not get along with children, people like that are not suitable to work with animals.
With the help of responsible parents, pets help kids learn love, gentleness, respect, friendship, responsibility, and sharing. Dogs are pack animals. They live in family groups. Any breed of dog that has been well trained by responsible owners will gently welcome children into the pack. This is a lovely story.
What a beautiful way to start the day! I love everything about this video and thank you so much for the song! 😍 Love peace & kindness makes the world a better place to live♥️
So precious! As a pittie owner this makes my heart sing. Thank you for showing the true nature of a pittie. Kind, gentle, loving dogs and not the stereotype that plagues them
OMG…he is in love with that baby ❤❤❤. He is sooo patient and gentle with her…just remarkable! I fear for the person who thinks about doing harm to that baby!!
I had a couple German Shepherds that were my best friends. Specially a female that unfortunately passed away at maybe 2 but one of her sons was an incredible, super intelligent and extremely protective dog. Had it not been for a German Shepherd in World War II that litterly saved my grandpa's life, not just a maybe he did, I would have never been born.
Brooo, Yogi looking at the baby flip through the book... "Now you know good & well neither one of us can read....🤨" the face he's making is hilarious 😂 both of them are as adorable as can be 💯🙌🏾
Thank you. These dogs have been demonized by a few individuals and groups that have abused and tortured them for sport or personal use. Increasing being used for therapy dogs, particularly for veterans that need a dog strong enough to brace on if needed; two recently retired women I know both adopted "pitties" for their love bug nature.

I was just about to say something similar and then I saw this. So Ditto
Seriously, someone would lose a limb.

Hugs to your wife from South Texas. ❤
So happy your wife is recovering! No doubt the doggy loves she's getting helps a LOT.❤❤
Aww so cute
Wishing your wife all the best for a speedy recovery. Love to your dogs for helping her. ❤❤

What a sweet dog. He’s so gentle with the baby. Great friends 🥰🇨🇦
That’s a nice looking American Bulldog !!!
I wonder if some people are calling all dogs "pitties" nowadays 🤔
Some folks don't take the time to really decide what breed 😮a dog really is.
The first thing I noticed was that he is an American Bulldog and not a Pit Bull. You would think a channel that does dog videos would know the difference
Not a pitbull, but the point still stands imo.
What a lucky child ❤
This had me snapping my fingers! What an adorable pair. Pure love! Thanks for sharing. Cheers!
That child has the best friend and protector ever

I also love that he still has his ears!
Yes, so much cuter! 1:25
This made me happy. I don’t have human children, but my ‘daughter’ is a pit. Any pit parent would tell you how sweet they are.
That child has the best nanny, best bodyguard and best friend any parent can ask for.
Guardian forever. 💞 I will also say kudos to her parents. This little cutie is so gentle and respectful to Yogi.
So heart warming...your daughter & fur baby are Priceless!!! Blessings to you All!!!
Best thing ever ! All children need a dog. Ive had Pitties for decades. Pitties are the absolute best! 😂❤
Yogi is the best dog big brother ever to his human little sister.
Oh my what a sweet and heartwarming video. Their friendship is golden! Thank you so much for sharing.
This is so ADORABLE 🥰 🥰🥰🥰Man’s best friend indeed!
any dog no matter the breed, as long as its treated right and loved, will always love and look after children
That dog will protect that kid for as long as it lives.
Fo sho
And that can turn into a huge problem with disastrous consequences.
Which is about 14 years
That's an American Bully. Adorable loyal protective and loving. They also can be a little stubborn when wanting a yummie 😂
I've had pits for 35 years.
Mine have not been watch dogs. They have been house princess and princes.
So good with kids. Wonderful dogs.
They are great dogs. And so are American Bulldogs, like the one in the video. They got the breed wrong in the title
When she hugged him at 1:12 , my heart melted. What a cute duo.
Just cause a dog is big, doesn't mean they can't be the most gentle soul an infant has ever met.
As long as the dog is aware of its size and strength, and appropriate play behaviors with such a small human, they do great! Some get too excited and their tail can definitely take out a toddler (or an in sturdy adult at the knees lol)
Our Pitty Girl takes her Nanny duties with children very seriously. She adores children
He is a sweet and gentle boy. Nice to hear Kurt Elling music too.
Yogi has that old soul about him, wonderful dog.
These two are the sweetest! ❤
So precious!! Both Willow, and Yogi!! Pittes are so amazing, and incredibly intelligent!! I just love this song, and the editing! Watching willow grow with yogi by her side is absolutely incredible!! ❤❤❤❤
Looks more like an American Bull dog. Not pit. At any rate, they are all great dogs! My pits adored my baby granddaughter!
An American bulldog is a type of pit bull.
@@greenAbbot Pits are part of the terrier family while American Bulldogs are part of the molosser dog family. Not the same.
Having a chill hood dog is a memory that is cherish forever..
Looks like an American bull dog personally
Because it is, came here to say that. 😂
That’s because an American bulldog is a type of pit bull. Pit bulls aren’t a breed but a category.
Actually, it's technically a pit bull/bully mix
Who cares what breed it is. The dog is clearly well trained and sweet people need to shut up with the anti pitbull bullcrap, it's such an old argument.
@@greenAbbotExactly!!
This is so beautiful🥺😭❤️❤️👏🏻
Pitties are very loyal and protective of children and of their owners
Dear Yogi and beautiful Willow have such a special bond that will last a lifetime!! So glad you didn’t listen to the awful negativity out there. You know your dog better than anyone. And you were right! Match made on Heaven!! 💕
Yogi bear is so calm and gentle, their friendship is so sweet❤️❤️
They are a total blessing to each other!
My Pittie is the sweetest, she loves children.
Dodo pet owners take notice. This family knows how to tell a beautiful story without saying a word. ❤
Boy, you said it!
Less is more
They're both adorable. Amazing how much one's perspective can change after becoming a parent.
This was absolutely terrific Dodo!❤
Thank you for sharing all of that sweetness! It warmed my heart ❤️
Because its a properly trained and looked after dog!
Beautiful.
Siblings❤❤
PEOPLE ARE CRAZY!! THIS PRETTY PITTIE LOVES AND AFORED THIS CUTE LITTLE BUNDLE OF JOY!! LOOK AT HOW WELL THEY GEY ALONG!! JUST COMPLETELY PRICELESS!!! IT'S LIKE YOGI AND BOO-BOO!!
Pitbull named universal annihilating device of death doom break scare after protecting a sweet baby from a robber
Yogi looks like a Dogo Argentino or an American Bulldog, not even a pittie or a staffy. They're all great loving dogs.
An American bulldog is a type of pit bull.
This friendship is absolutely wonderful. This is a friendship for life between Willow and Yogi! 👍👍👍❤❤❤❤❤🥰🥰❤❤
This is the most beautiful, cute and heartworming thing that I have seen in a long time. I am feeling grateful for dogs like Yogi.
I hope that growing up with Yogi will make Willow compassionate toward all animals.

So glad you didn’t listen to people. These pits are the best thing for a child to grow up with ❤❤❤
The original nanny dog. This is absolutely precious. ❤❤❤

The dog took one of the funniest pose on the sofa:).

Very fortunate child.
I had a black lab when I was a kid brings back warm memories of all the wonderful times I had with my best friend 🥹
Sometimes, the most misunderstood dogs show the most love.
They will be the best friends forever.❤
Animals make better parents than some humans My daughter was brought up with a dog Nothing happened to her she is almost 40yrs old now
So precious! As a pittie owner this makes my heart sing. Thank you for showing the true nature of a pittie. Kind, gentle, loving dogs and not the stereotype that plagues them
You're an owner and don't see that this isn't a pitbull?
Yogi is a boxer, I have had 4 of them. They always bond with the grand kids, including the babies. Best nanny dogs ever.
Looks like the dog from never ending Story yrs ago ! Little girls got the best friend EVER !!❤
I have never, ever met a good person with a bad pittie. Pit Bulls are smart, strong, loyal and loving; it takes real effort to screw one up.
They don’t need words, they speak with their love for one another 💕
It certainly helps that Yogi is one amazingly chilled dude!
He is very beautiful ❤️
OMG…he is in love with that baby ❤❤❤. He is sooo patient and gentle with her…just remarkable! I fear for the person who thinks about doing harm to that baby!!
One of the best videos ever. The mutual love is so evident! Beautiful 💕

He looks like Chase from “homeward bound”. So cute ❤
0:25 this is the cutest reason why not to let Pittie near her baby 🥰
Such a great little pair. I hope he stays a great friend with her.😊

Back in the Victorian era they where known as the nanny dogs
