I have just completed Certificate Course in Russian Language from IGNOU this year and I have scored above 90% in the term end examination. To me it is a great personal achivement since I have a deep-rooted interest in the language and culture , and I want to move further with it.
Bonus Tips: (as given in the video) 1. Read the questions carefully 2. Try to attempt all the parts of the questions sequence wise. And make the question number bold/double underline it. 3. Assignments are jackpot. Complete and submit them on time.

Those who score 90% in IGNOU usually are from the regions were the students always score high regardless. And assignments are given marks super graciously in those regions. I have a certain extended experience with IGNOU as i completed my BSc, MA Psychology and MA English from IGNOU only. I have come to realise that if you are appearing from regions down South India upto Mumbai and Pune, the marking is strictly done and usually even high scoring students fall within the range of 60-70% with very few cases >75%. Despite a great deal of hardwork in MA English i could only score 60% from Mumbai centre, though i firmly believe i could've easily scored more elsewhere. I completed my MA English whilst serving in Navy in 2021 & qualified UGC NET with JRF in first attempt recently 🙂
scoring 90+% seems so fantastic I could only score 72% in MA ENGLISH from IGNOU and that too with a lot of hard work. I also qualified JRF this time .. So I guess it makes sense that different regions have different evaluation standards so some get 90+% But I think in any case, it’s not ideal for any masters course esp in English to be able to score that high.. To me it just says the evaluation standards are lower in those regions which must absolutely be made uniform

In fact, there're loads of linking verbs and fillers and discourse markers in the English language like 'as I was saying', 'to begin with, 'right', 'well', 'erm', 'oh' and 'ah'. Please change your definition of fluency.😂
Ignore this video. I am an Asst Proff at a State Govt College who is also an IGNOU evaluator for BA PolSc (BAPSH) and MA PolSc (MPS). Here are some real tips. 1) Write as much as you can whithin the time limit. 2) Write as neatly as you can. Use pencils to underline. Heading and points in ALL CAPITAL. Presentation is key. Remember, the professor checking your paper has hundreds of other papers to check. Do Not Frustrate Him/Her. 3) If you fool around and write song lyrics in the answer sheet or put a Rs500 note you will get a BIG ZERO. We are lenient, and we give good marks to average answers, as we have to consider the context and background of the average IGNOU examinees (lower class tier2/tier3/village students who suffer more hardship than regular college students), but if you try to disrespect us with DELIBERATE NONSENSE answers you will get punished. 4) Basically, Effort takes priority. I have given 15/20 to answers that are varying in quality. And usually the "excellent" answers i check are straight out of CHatGPT. I have checked thousands of papers in my life, trust me, i know a ChatGPT answer or a IGNOU study material copy-paste type answer when i see one. But since we examiners dont have valid proof, we still have to check it and score it like normal, but i refuse to give full marks to these cheaters. 5) Most evaluators dont spend more than 10 seconds on checking answer paper (but i do check thoroughly, but most examiners are not like me). We have to check 500+ papers in 1 week. Keep that in mind when writing your answer. Presentation and Neatness is very important.
I have been a topper of English from a regular govt. recognised top university.Only content matters. If you have understood the topic, that's it. Nothing else is needed.

Agar aap karte b ho to yaad rakhna exam centre wahi pe rakh na, jaha lineant aur achi marking hoti hai. Mera khud 1st year hai, results nahi nikle abhi, to muje khud nahi pata result kise niklega. its just a myth ......u can score 98 % marks in assignments just focus on the content and ur presentation and underline the imp points....simple

Mera khud 1st year hai, results nahi nikle abhi, to muje khud nahi pata result kise niklega.

I wrote my 1st year exams very well but i scored very less marks like around 60s. In only 1 2 papers i got marks in 70s. Im very disappointed by their correction process. I'm doing BA currently 2nd year student. I wrote like 5 pages for 20 marks question each, we can't write more than that because they don't provide additional paper sheet.
