Paul Keels has to be one of the best play-by-play announcers in college football. As a Buckeyes fan living in Texas, I enjoy just tuning in on satellite radio in my vehicle on Saturdays during the fall. Voice, delivery, and style. Paul is a model for how college football games should be broadcast on the network of one given school.
I listened to Paul call the games when I was living in Columbus. Moved to Detroit in 2006 and just couldn't get his radio station to sync up with the game when it was available locally. I turned the TV off and just listened to Paul call the game.
The second play against Miami would've never happened had it not been for the first play against Purdue. That pass by Krenzel saved the season for the Buckeyes.
@@jclbuxfan this is facts. The team played great as a whole but he did all the dirty work. That reverse pass wasn't even open 😂 he threw a dart though and the rest is history.
I remember listening to that 2002 play versus Purdue on the radio. I was driving down to Athens to see my girlfriend and almost drove off the road. Good times. 😉
You have that completely wrong. Miami almost stole it. That was the most obvious holding penalty and it was missed. That was before the pass interference call. Miami was the most arrogant football team of all time and got punched in the mouth. Quit crying. Did you see OSU get totally screwed in Clemson game? It all evens out . I guess.
Ohio State QB Craig Krenzel attempted a short pass into the end zone to receiver Chris Gamble which bounced around and was ruled incomplete by the side judge. Several seconds after the call, a flag flew in from the corner of the end zone. Miami’s premature celebrations were cut short as the officiating crew quickly huddled up, leading to a pass interference call on Hurricane defender Glenn Sharpe. Sharpe had covered Gamble on the incompletion. After the replays rolled, it was fairly clear that the call was questionable at best.
@@sageex3931 Only questionable to the biased arrogant Cane fans. By the way you ignored the flagrant holding call they blatantly missed before the pass interference call. Two penalties almost missed would have been a crime. That is some nasty 20 year old whine you got there. 💩😥
We were paid back in 2016 being left out .. and again in 2019 when Clemson had to have paid the refs a kings ransom. I could call others but won't... That's more then enough retribution
Purely awesome. The Voice of the Buckeyes always delivers. Love that guy.

I will always remember his voice in the radio as a kid with my dad yelling in the car on the way to a party. Legend
I was in a supermarket catching Holy Buckeye.
The catch by Thomas against Bammer was and still is one of the best I've ever seen.
We are very lucky to have Paul. Great voice of the Bucks.
That BM spin is the GOAT
Quite possibly could be my fav
Here in Ohio we still call that hitting the B button!
I loved it when he called Reds games.
Bengals also.
Bring on those Xichigan tears 😭 🤣

Great commentator
Zeke’s 85 yards was the best play my eyes have ever seen
Evan Spencer with the best block of all time. Check the tape he pancaked 2 bama defenders on a crack back. The unsung hero of the Suger bowl!
@@jeffreyprice9790 yep. the pass ,the block. OSU doesn’t win without Evan Spencer.

...how is anybody as good as Jackson Smith-Njigba... That kid is something special. He's Odell with no draw back.
Immediate chills
Ohio is lucky to have him and Hammy calling Ohio Sports
Best announcer ever
This should be renamed to THE Best of Paul Keels featuring THE Best of Jim Lachey
I remember listening to that 2002 play versus Purdue on the radio. I was driving down to Athens to see my girlfriend and almost drove off the road. Good times. 😉
My favorite is still “He (Zach Boren) nailed him at the 29 and planted him like a cheap flower”
Keels did Holy Buckeye better than the guy who actually said “Holy Buckeye”
Love my Buckeyes!
Yeah but where would he be without Lachey backing him up? lol
Needs more calls from 05/06/09/10!
Mostly it's jim leshea with the screaming
Honestly some of these are the best of the other color commentator of him just screaming YEAH
I remember when you guys stole the 2002 National Championship from Miami

Funny because the only thing I remember is the Buckeyes ruining your program that night in the desert. :)
Paul Keels very overrated. The Saturday game duo needs replaced.
Says the secret ❌️ichigan fan, Paul is Treasure and needs to stay for many more years
Lol no.
@@romanwagner8709…I agree
His partner, Jim Latchey (O-line, early 80s), could be quite emotional. 😂
Very emotional
