Don’t get too hung up on winding the 25uH precisely as you just need to be in the ballpark, this is because you can always cut the antenna length to suit.

Yes Jonathan you can make a choke that will work for any bands :)

Great work. I did something similar for 20/40 but a ground plane a couple of years ago. I am still toying with a DX commander or a cobweb for my qth with a small garden. 73

Very nice. A DX Commander works surprisingly well in a confined space. Don't get too worked up about the radials. Just get as much wire down as possble and it'll work.

Thanks Mike. You are far more knowledgeable about these things than I am!

I got a cheap inductance meter off eBay I think? That might help to measure future coils? Nice work Jonathan!

Why don’t you try a Antron 99 which can tune with a 7610 to cover 20m to 10m and paint it green in the tree…many people have made these work ?

I prefer my antennas to be as resonant as possible; and if I can switch the tuner in the radio off, that’s what I’d prefer to do. I’m sure the Antron is an excellent antenna on the frequency it was designed to operate on. But it’s just not for me.
Also I enjoy the challenge of making something. 73!
