- Which is the best? Which is the worst? This is my full ranking of all species in Jurassic World Evolution 2. All dinosaurs, all marine reptiles, all flying reptiles and Dimetrodon and Lystrosaurus. This is just my personal view of the species!

I honestly love the Scorpios Rex strictly because of how wrong it looks. It's snout is way too short, it's teeth are all jagged, the legs are way too long and thin, and staring at the hybrid for any period of time in game will reveal that it constantly spasms and jitters. Everything about the Scorpios Rex looks wrong. It looks like it shouldn't exist. And I love that about it.

This. I Really Wished they’d Leaned on this Aspect in the JW Movies. Rather than Make the Indos just Psycho Killers, Make them Extremely Mentally Unstable, and Dysfunctional. Like Maybe the Indoraptor has Ingrown Claws that Hurt it, or the Indominus has Bad Teeth that Cut into its Jaw.
Hybrids are garbage af and that thing is the worst mistake the creators of the franchise ever did

@@profilenotfound2525 Imo Hybrids were the Perfect Endgoal for the Franchise and Could’ve been an Excellent Portrayal of Not only how Dangerous the Genetic Tampering was, but also How Inhumane it was. Of Course the Execution was Screwed at almost Every Single Angle, but Regardless I Think it Could’ve been Great.

Man, JWE2 has given us a great roster of dinos. Early in the list I kept thinking “oh that’s way too low” but then there wasn’t really much higher on the list I would have traded it out with. And there’s very few just outright bad dinos which is incredible with a roster that big.

So many fond memories of therizinosaurus on walking with dinosaurs. Anyone else remember that special?
I hate the stupid tickle chicken but that's mostly due to it destroying me and my tames in ARK to where after my friend and I tamed one all the others were just on sight
I love how before showing what species she’s gonna pick she moves the curser around to keep us guessing and keep us on the edge of our seat
The thing that drags down sauropods for me overall is that they're incompatible with most other sauropods with one or two exceptions
For me I just don’t find watching them fun irl that would be amazing but in the game it’s odd
Yeah their really slow even if you go 3X speed, so when their with others, it's just all dinos no habitat when ur doing a sanctuary they look like really small and slow compared to the map, if you know how to do sanctuaries and do territorys and bla bla bla they look so far apart which makes them look like a giraffe idk I mean I agree with you
I have several favorites but I’ll try to categorize them, but I definitely prefer using no hybrids in my parks and having more ‘natural species’, I also only use the indos and scorpios in a ‘facility’ build. Note: I play with comfort and environment needs on since I find it more fun to make a park that would function normally without sandbox harmony settings
Carnivores: 1. 2022 Giga, 2. Megalosaurus and Qianzhousaurus (tied), 3. Pyroraptor
Herbivores: 1. 2022 Dreadnoughtus, 2. Most ceratopsians except Triceratops, 3. Tsintaosaurus and Olorotitan (Mostly cause I like the very colorful patterns on their crests and their crests in general, and Parasaurolophus is overused in parks anyway) (If Therizinosaurus didn’t want to murder everyone in its enclosure I’d like it more)
Flying Reptiles: 1. Quetzalcoatlus, 2. Geosternbergia, 3. Cearadactylus and Barbaridactylus
Marine Reptiles: 1. Styxosaurus, 2. Tylosaurus, 3. Plesiosaurus (I like its cute snake snoot)
And just because I feel like including least favorites too
Carnivores: 1. Regular Giganotosaurus (I hate it’s blocky head), 2. Carcharodontosaurus (I agree that the model is a bit funky), 3. Velociraptor (with the inclusion of Pyroraptor there’s just other raptor species I add to the park before Velociraptor)
Herbivores: 1. Apatosaurus (Good for a smaller scale herbivore enclosure but since sauropods hate each other it’s hard to make multi-enclosures), 2. Pachycephalosaurids (Mostly just because they cause the most problems in comfort on parks from my experience lol), 3. Most Stegosaurids (I don’t use them a lot since they don’t like to be paired with other herbivores)
Flying Reptiles: 1. Tapejara (This thing is just ugly, ARK made a prettier Tapejara), 2. Dsungaripterus (I don’t think I’ve ever released one), 3. Pteranodon (I prefer the more exotic reptiles first)
Marine Reptiles: 1. Elasmosaurus (goofy smile), 2. Icthyosaurus (exotic reptile food), 3. Attenboroughsaurus (looks nice but I usually pick Styxosaurus)

Fun Fact: Cearadactylus was actually in the original Jurassic Park novel by Michael Chrichton. In the book, the original park had an aviary that was planned to have a secondary lodge within it to allow tourists to interact with the pterosaurs... and you can probably guess how it went. The four cearadactyls proved extremely territorial, forcing the lodge to be shut down, though the aviary was completed and functional. During their trek through the park, Alan Grant and the kids are forced into the river by the persistent T Rex -- a river that runs through the aviary. They stop inside the aviary in hopes of staying at the Pteratops lodge, before being attacked by the angry cearadactyls. After a short skirmish, Lex (the younger of the two in the book) is able to distract the pterosaurs by throwing her baseball glove at them ("'They got my glove,' Lex said. 'My Darrel Strawberry Special'" - Page 314).
For the indoraptor, I'll often rename it to a utahraptor, and say that like the deinonychus, they just put a bit too much random DNA in.

Velociraptors in this game are basically utahraptors irl. Well, without feathers... and way too smart... you get the point. The movie velociraptors are misnamed and inaccurate.
@@user-fp9kg7pc1tNo they literally used Deinonycus to design the Velociraptors in the franchise. Which is why Deinonycus looks so stupid and random. They had to make up a new Dino and it looks horrible.
My favourite dinosaur would have to be the Suchomimus, I just love it. It’s ferocious AND elegant at the same time.

The Malta Expansion Iguanodon looks more like a different Iguanodontid genus rather than the forest dwelling base game Iguanodon. Malta Iguanodon looks more like the Gracile Brighstoneus Atherfieldensis
My favorite dino is also therizinosaurus I love its attack animation, the feathered look, the long claws, the skins, I just love it. Especially in a swampy environment.
This was great! My partner and I are in the middle of creating a full list based upon their ranking for appeal v cost and decided, while watching this, to also include in the rankings our opinions regarding their skins, animations, etc. Thank you for the additional creative push!!!

My favorite species is probably a toss up between dimetrodon and Moros intrepidus. The moros is small, cute, and fluffy but the dimetrodon running is so hilarious!
Yes, but why JW Dominion do a Lizard/Dinosaur-like Dimetrodon?
Finally a person on UA-cam that agrees Jurassic World Dominion was great.

It has been a good year, I think Ludia and Frontier should collaborate and give the many non hybrid reptiles and move them to JWE2, Cenozoic creatures included as well regular birds and fishes then, include the remaining Canon species (even Concavenator) and say they added all now. I don't know if you have played JWTG, but the amphibians have this sweet looking enclosures and the lagoons has a lot of things like fencing and monorail tunnels.
Seems like a lot to add, don’t know if that would be likely. Still, a cool idea!

Yeah the amphibians do have those sick one it was the closes to aquatic maybe the Koskinodon should be added

List:
1. Pachyrhinosaurus: it's not only very adorable, but apsolutly looks awesome as well :) but I love it more in Walking With Dinosaurs, which is my only complaint about the dinosaur, and I wish we had a 2013 variant as well :) but I still love the design Frontier did :)
2. Carnotaurus: it's an awesome looking theropod and I just love the design of the animal, but I wish we got a 2000 cosmetic as well from Disney's Dinosaur, but what we got is great as well :)
3. Tyrannosaurus: it is the OG Dinosaur, and just looks awesome :) I loved this animal as a kid and still do :)
4. Brachiosaurus, Stegosaurus, and Compsognathus: all these 3 share the same rank in my book because they all go great together in my opinion, and they are just awesome :) and their peaceful nature goes well for a VIP resort area, and that's what I usually do for almost all my park, cause can you imagine waking up in Jurassic World and you see a herd of Brachiosaurus, Stegosaurus, and Compsognathus walking together from your window?
5. Edmontosaurus, Parasaurolophus, Styracosaurus, and Baryonyx: these 4 share the same rank because they are all awesome species, the Baryonyx just looks cool, but the Para, Edmonto, and Styraco go well with the Pachy in a herd (especially the Edmontos) :), using a Taiga map really brings the Walking with Dinosaurs vibe to the Edmontosaurus and Pachyrhinosaurus :)
6. Apatosaurus, Ouranosaurus, Polacanthus, Gallimimus, Morus Intrepedus, and Kentrosaurus: they are all awesome dinosaurs, they add more variety to your parks, and they are just fun to use :) I almost always put the Polacanthus and Gallimimus together because why not :)
7. Iguanodon, Velociraptor, and Dilophosaurus: all these dinosaurs are awesome :) and I really loved the Iguanodon in Disney's Dinosaur, it wasn't as cool as the Carno, but it was still awesome :), Velociraptor is just an amazing Dinosaur overall, and Dilophosaurus is Scary yet awesome as the same time :)
8. Pyroraptor, Struthiomimus, Pachycephalosaurus, Euoplocephalus, Oviraptor, Dimorphodon, and Dsungaripterus: they are all awesome, and I really don't know what to say about them 😅
9. Elasmosaurus and Liopleurodon: I love their Dragon esc look, and I've used these two more since they finally like eachother :)
10. Homalocephale: it is so adorable 😍 and I wish guests could pet it, maybe guests should have the ability to pet and Herbivore and Scavenger Dinosaur exept the Therizinosaurus and the rest of the Carnivore dinosaurs and reptiles
Dishonorable mention:
Troodon: it doesent have feathers like the Walking with Dinosaurs Troodon sadly 😥
Triceratops and Ankylosaurus: both dinosaurs are great, they are just not as cool as say a Stegosaurus or Brachiosaurus, or even a Trex
Carcharodontosaurus: it's not a dinosaur I usually use, nor one I'm really interested in.
Species I wish were in the game:
Stokesosaurus: it was a smaller Trex that lived in the Cleveland Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry during the Late Jurassic Period, and I think it would be cool to have it in the game, and even like the Stegosaurus, Camarasaurus, and Brachiosaurus, and those three could like it :) as all three of them were found in the Sam's location
Gorgosaurus: Gorgosaurus is a cool Dinosaur overall, and I think it would work in the game, and it could have some unike elements from different carnivores
Halisaurus: it's a species I really want in the game, it was a small Mosasaurid, and it could coexist with the Elasmosaurus and Liopleurodon, but would still be able to hunt Ichthyosaurus and Plesiosaurus
Ornithocirus: another Walking with Dinosaurs animal, I think it would be cool in the game
Lambeosaurus: from the Dinosaur Park formation during the Late Cretaceous, I think would work well for say the Corythosaurus :)
Leaellynasaura: it's adorable, and another Walking With Dinosaurs creature that would work well :)
The fact troodon doesn't have feathers saved it for me.
I love the allo, but my favorite animation is the carno sitting animation

15:50-16:49 I wholeheartedly agree with you. Prehistoric Planet had a much better design for Barbaridactylus than Jurassic World Evolution 2.

Therizinosaurus is one of my favourites too
I personally will have to agree that theri is one of if not the best dino in the game, with its badass animations and crazy skins, it’s an awesome animal. Plus, it’s the giant murder turkey, and who doesn’t love that, and seeing theri in the game makes me wonder what they’ll do possibly for another giant Mongolian bird like non avian dinosaur and my all time irl favorite, Deinocheirus.
Also, I love your ranking for Iguanodon, which is another favorite of mine irl. It’s badass and its skins are so pretty, and the fact that it has zebra like stripes makes me love it more. What’s also very surprising is that the model actually holds up really well to the real animal, especially with the ratio of the front limbs compared to the back limbs, it really has that hulking bodybuilder vibe. Another thing I love about it is actually the head. It has such a regal and rather horse like prowess which makes it even cooler❤

Picking your least favorites is a lot harder in this game than it was in the first one and Frontier deserves credit for that. However, the top three I immensely hate with a passion are: the JW pteranodon, elasmosaurus, and especially the lioprelodon.
Yes, I don't know why they arruined the Lio with that crocodile-like model q.q It's my fav marine reptile of all time, but JWE 2 one is Ugly

This was really fun! You think you could do like a top 10 dino mods or something maybe, that would be very cool. I do wish somehow PlayStation was able to have mods :/ but the game without mods looks really fun!

Australovenator is my favourite. I might be biased (Australian dinosaur!) But the model is cool and the skins are brilliant. I generally prefer the ones that aren't in the movies most of the time.

Fun fact: There's actually enough proof to say that Troodon doesn't exist and never existed.
My favorite dinos are the Allosaurs and Charcarodontosaurids. I love to use them in my parks.
I love that you put my favourite in the top ten, the spino. I do agree tho that it is not at all paleontologically accurate but it looks so good and scary in Jurassic Park 3

I would’ve put monolophsaurus pretty high because its so different from all the other 6 foot raptors and Dino’s and i love the head design

In my opinion the hybrids are my least favorites when counting "dinosaurs" I love scorpius rex when it's just hybrids. And I'd have to say my top favorite dinosaur would probably be giga or pyroraptor because they have such amazing colors or the thin snouted one I sadly keep forgetting whos name starts with a Q because its so adorable, my least favorites would be the hybrids, I also agree with marine reptiles. Elasmasaurus (probably spelt wrong) looks too mutch like a monster for me, also the swimming crocodile is my least favorite. My favorite flying reptile has to be quetzalcoatlus no competition other then maybe Barbaridactylus because of its amazing colors, the rest can be anywhere but I'd simply put quetz or barbari first lol. My favorite sauropod has to be alamosaurus or dreadnoughtus (seen some things lol). My favorite raptor has to be atrociraptor or pyroraptor only because I simply like them over the others. My favorite bony head has to be homalo because it's so adorable, then with stigy, then I don't care what goes after that. Now to save myself the time I am going to end here. I fully respect your rankings and agree that no dinosaur is bad

I think Polocanthus and Nodosaurus should switch places. Nodosaurus has an odd face compared to the other nodosaurids

If the problem with ichty is being too small and getting lost then can't you just, you know, give it a small lagoon? Or just make a bunch of them?
Massive lagoon, 50 icthys is the best solution imo, makes it a more realistic and spacious environment.
My personal favourite is the pyroraptor. The colours, model and animations are amazing. I love how bright you can make them, almost like parrots!! Right next to it is yutyrannus, and all of the creatures in the biosyn expansion.
I'd like to see a paeleo accurate spino variant 😂 and maybe more spinosaurideas

given Frontier's usual schedule, March or April seems like a safe bet.
I think if they hold of a little till like July they could make a pack with biodome for cenozic mammals like smilodon and megatheriom

YEEEES!!! Thery is my favorite dino of all time and I’m so glad he got one of the best scenes in the movie and is now not only my but also many others favorite JWE2 inclusion because it was done soooo well! God I love this creature so much! Great video by the way. I didn’t even know some of these dinosaurs had this good skins until watching this.
Idea for the next exhibit:Strutimimus or Ceratosaurus, cause their the first Dinosaurs that you have in JWE1
My top 5(as a no-DLC player):
1. Edmontosaurus(great colors, and if you know modern paleontology, you know it’s a bad*ss)
2. Chungkingosaurus(adorable, nice colors, and works well with tropical and desert parks, which are my favorite)
3. Spinosaurus(great colors, and I have fond memories of a river cruise with it)
4. Dilophosaurus(adorable, occasionally has the Docile Trait, which makes it more special-wall friendly)
5. Stegosaurus(OK skins, it's just one of my favorites)
Also, I've never used hybrids as of yet.
I don't have evolution but hoping to get it sometime after Christmas on steam sale - and my love of dinosaurs and evo's amazing content where the main persuaders for me to want to get it
Got to say My 5 top fav jwe2 dinos are 1 Pyroraptor it has such cool skins and i like how it looks like a chicken 2 Carnotaurus i love how the carno is fast and when u put +atk +Def stat change its rly good in fight 3 stego it can kill an def+ atk+ stat change irex if it has them too 4 giga its such an cool dino i like how it looks and it has cool animations too 5 Atrociraptor it has super cool animation espesially when it kills humans and goats
Fun fact: Yoshi from Mario is actually a monolophosaurus and I wonder can you try to create a yoshi looking skin for monolophosaurus

Ok so my top five dinos are 1 spinosaurus trust me ill explain on my bad channels horrible vids why its my favorite 2 pyroraptor 1 many feathers 2 so many color combos yeees please 3 Therezinosaurus like its so cool im not even mad that its not social at all. 4 trex 65 ma skin... one word feathers trust me not the only reason but still 5 olorotitan listen I didnt have the dr wu dlc in jwe 1 so when i saw the skin color combos the animations for eating drinking socializing etc I fell in love❤❤❤

I love nodosuarus as it’s really great for low security enclosures and petting zoos and is pretty small it’s also not very threatening looking and is kinda cute in my opinion plus it is great to pair with sauropods and Homalocephale

So weird that so many of your low rankings are the opposite for me. I love Corythosaurus (maybe for nostalgia for the Mesozoic Mind video alone), Huayangosaurus and their cute cow like faces and neat skins, Apatosaurus for their mossy natural asthetic, Maiasaurus (in appearance, not behavior, screw those over-social psychopaths), and Chasmasaurus for their cool frills and colors and the fact they were one of the few ceratopsian toys from the series I had as a kid, and have them in nearly every park I make. No shade toward your own decisions, I just love their unique charms.
