Feel bad I've abandoned my Hyang a lot more.....I know why i mostly ignore Chasmasaurus, I feel is overall small and underwhelming. Triceratops has been one of my favorites forever, and usually fainds it's way into my park, occasionally replace it with a Pentaceratops or maybe another larger ceratopsid. Definitely made good points on why some of these should be used more often in different parks.
The ornithominid group has been facing a pretty discriminative reputation from the public, similar to hadrosaurids. I’m very glad they’ve been getting the justice they need lately. I really like how you’ve convinced me to see how the Monolophosaurus’s crest could look a little attractive if you put your mind to it. Not every carnivore has to look scary and if Prehistoric Planet taught us anything, Carnotaurus can amuse us with its funny dance. And Megalosaurus in general deserves more recognition seeing it was the first dinosaur discovered. I don’t remember seeing it appear much in media besides Earl Sinclair being one.
Agree with all your points dude ^^ And when it comes to skins i have spent a lot of time exploring the best combinations for certain enviroments, sexual dimorphism and the like, so im glad i was able to give you some ideas.
I'm glad I watched this. I'm trying to build a park, or a portion of a park, dedicated mostly or solely to the most underused species I have access to. This gave me some ideas. Thanks! ;-)
Metriacanthosarus should be used more, you can put them in with Allosaurus, with a decent sized enclosure you can easily get 8k-14k rating with your attractions.
When the first game came out I didnt care for the struthiomimus at first I thought it was kinda boring, the more I played the game and this game the more I liked it and honestly I think its a cute dinosaur and its my favourite of its family. Brachiosaurus and Albertosaurus will always be my favourites though.
Struthi is one of my favourite species to use. The best looking Ornithomimid by far in my opinion, has great sounds, patterns and animation too. I just like em. I will say, Barbaridactylus looks amazing in some mods that give it a more Prehistoric Planet-esque crest. Chasmosaurus I actually love too because its so little! Its one of my go to petting zoo animals.
i don’t even make a park, i just have a island made how i like of free roaming herds of herbivores and a few carnivores hunting. although regarding the video i agree with 7 of your choices!
This was a list of just “what do I tend to gravitate towards”, these are some of my absolute favorites in the game(especially Chasmo and Megalo), and I’m glad to see a push to make them more popular
The problems with Megalosaurus is that it doesn't look like a Megalosaurid at all, Megalosaurids have long, narrow, recatangular shaped from side skull, The Megalosaurus in game doesn't have any of this caracterisitcs, his head is instead very wide. The body has this hanging bride shape where the hips are tall and the tail and body get droopy when getting far from the hips, which looks very weird, it should have this beautiful straight line body shape that all carnivores should have. Plus, it doesn't have any unique animations, for a DLC animal that's a crime. The body rig and animations come from the Allosaurus, which look good on the Allosaurus because they are supposed to be Allosaurus body rig and animations. The hunting animations are the same ones that Baryonix and Cryolophosaurus have, and the social animation is the same as the Baryonix one but cutting out the bittingin the tail st the beginning. That's so cheap. I do think personally that it has grreat skins, but many of them look so unnatural, the weird cocodrilian scales on its wide back do not help. Plus, fore me, adding spikes to it's head it's just boring qnd uninspiring. Overall, we land with an animal that doesn't look what it's supposed to, looks unnatural, deformed, and doesn't value the cost of the DLC it comes with. (Also, the animal is 9 meters long in the game, too big for a 6 meter carnivore, it should be the size of the Concavenator)
Well the accuracy of the dinosaur is kinda completely irelevent because this is a Jurassic game and most of the animals in it are not represented accurately to real life. In regards to what you said about animations, well no its not good enough that there are copy pasted animations but again a huge number of animals have the same copy pasted animations in the game so again, not just a megalo issue.
@@tri-clawgaming7682 If you, Frontier, are gonna sale me Megalosaurus as a DLC species, I would like to expect Megalosaurus. What's the point of bringing actual animal to a dinosaur park game if the animals don't look like they are suppose to? Frontier seems to go place to place with this. I cant tell if every single animal Frontier has designed is 100% accurate, but many of them since the first game were designed to look like the real animals. Sauropelta, Nodosaurus, Pentaceratops, Styracosaurus, Torosaurus, Chasmosaurus, Proceratosaurus, Herrerasaurus, Coelophysis, Troodon, Edmontosaurus, Muttaburrasaurus, Maiasaura, Yutyrannus, Deinocheirus, Sinosauropteryx, Kronosaurus, Styxosaurus, Attemborosaurus, Dsungaripterus, Geostembergia, Jeholopterus, Shonisaurus, Archelon, Dunkleosteus, Megalodon, Giganotosaurus, Gigantoraptor, Utahraptor, Concavenator, Chunkingosaurus, Mamenchisaurus, Allosaurus, Majungasaurus. They were all design in mind to look like the real animals, they still have unaccurate caracteristics, some more than others, but at first glance you say "that's the real animal". Megalosaurus doesn't give Megalosaurid at all, looks like if you ask a 7 year old to draw a dinosaur and they bring this. On the other hand, the repeated animations are dissapointing issue. But this is a Payed animal, that brings nothing new at all. At least, Cryolophosaurus, Qianzhousaurus and Coelophysis brought some unique animations to their species when the game came out in 2021. Megalosaurus dissapoints in every level
I feel like for a couple of these creatures size is also an issue, I don’t really use small carnivores or even herbivores since they are too small to see and I never use compy for obvious reasons if you can’t really see them in your beautifully decorated enclosure then what’s the point Also I feel like majungasaurus is one that gets left out a lot I personally use him because he has some surprisingly good skins and feels like a real creature with how ruff the design is
Well honestly i'd argue that all these animals are big enough to see in well design enclosures. Perhaps i should do a video on designing good enclosures for particular species.

The Barbarydactilus is one of the best pterosaurs though. Similar to the Quetzal for appeal per cost, but a much cheaper investment divided across multiple Barbarydactiluses

@@tri-clawgaming7682 ye metri I’ve used since day one of jurassic evolution 1
I gonna try and make a park with only the dinosaurs you’ve shown me.
Do over-rated animals
*grins* ohhh i might do that
The only dinosaur I don't like in the entire game is Elasmosaurus as its not accurate or a good design
Yeah the hand of Frontier sorta ruined it...same as the Liopleurodon (although in that case i have grown to like the Lio)
@tri-clawgaming7682 I don't think frontier is even that bad at designs. They tried something new and it didn't work
technically 11 dinosaurs
I know but i wanted to do the british carnivores together since i couldnt choose between them.
@@tri-clawgaming7682 ok
Where is the deinocheirus
Its no way under-rated. Parks ive seen recently its been in a lot of them
Nigersaurus
I don't like Tylo, it looks hideous. The skins are good but the model is not.
NIGERSAURUS NOT NIGIRSAURUS
British is all ways beter chap
one way that there NOT better is spelling XD

@@tri-clawgaming7682 it won't work, answer me right now, WHY IS THERE A N WORD SAURUS EXPLAIN YOURSELF
@@chokoman6251 I'm guessing you're young? But Niger (Ny-Jar) is a country in West Africa. Nigersaurus (Ny-Jar-Saur-Us) is guess what? A sauropod that was discovered in Niger. So no it is not the N-word-a-saurus.
It's just french.
