  • Let's learn to use this vintage Kenmore model 1215 that I just finished restoring. I'll show you how to thread the machine, wind a bobbin, and run through some of it's stitches and features. I'll also show you just how tough this little workhorse can be by stitching through denim and leather.

    So I watched your other video on oiling and it was very helpful thanks! I know have a problem of it making holes in fabric but not stitching. I have tried everything but adjusting the hook timing. I noticed in this video that you are threading the needle at the left , I thought the flat side of needle is at back of machine. Am I placing my needle the wrong way?

      good question. I suggest you get the manual for it. Try joining the Kenmore group on facebook they will have the book for it in the files section.

    Hello i recently got a kenmore 148.230
    And i cant get my bottom thread to work. :(
    Not sure what im doing wrong. Im sewing vinyl btw

      Most likely the face plate is not tightened down.
