Agreed. I'm back here because I'm having a nightmare trying to make a Cubase expression map for this instrument. I'm not a keyboard player and I need to learn how to change keyswitches in the midi roll. These videos are great for telling you what you can do but not great at telling you how!
I just opened this thing up last night and I had no clue it was this in depth! I have the feeling music is going to become a lot better with more contributions like this from NI. Not taking anything at all away from the bass players of course. Because that is an art in itself.
Ohhh, the MIDI notes need to overlap! It's heading in the right direction. Are there any bass VST or Kontakt libraries that can achieve better slides than the Rickenbacker bass?
Anyone else managed to get sliding working below open E string ? (eg, slide to/from Drop D tuning, Drop B tuning, etc, on the E string). It seems like sliding is not supported below the open E string E note which is a huuuge bummer and even dealbreaker if you ask me
why, oh why didn't NI make the slides a keyswitch function? not everyone has a hold pedal! And, what about paraplegics and uncoordinated people? The world is all wonky I tell yuh!
10 years Later - STILL one of the BEST Basses out there !!!! :)
Still cant get my hand around it and keep coming back to this 4 part video series whenever I am making a song that has Rickenbacker in it
Changed the game for writing bass lines for my songs! Great slides! Thanks a lot for this video!
Meanwhile, seven years later ... still very helpful. Thanks!

1:15 So, how can I choose a slide position. I'm having hard time with sliding octave down.
Can you please play Cherry Coloured Funk bass riff. I would love to hear how it sounds with this.
How to slide if you don't have a midi keyboard?
DOES THIS INSTRUMENT HAVE AUTO SUSTAIN LIKE PROMINYS BASS
my slides arent working. Im just getting sustained notes
+Chriss Odom Fucking christ me too, did you ever figure this out? Im about to just take a hammer to my entire computer.
No. It's an FL Studio issue. Something about the CC controls don't work a certain way
Weird, I'm having the problem in logic
Hello! I have all the slides are played only 333 bpm at any pace. How to change the pace of the slide?
8 years late to tell you this but it's the velocity of the midi note you want to slide to XD
NI stuff is so preposterously finnicky and difficult to work with, I have no idea how they get away with it
