Please excuse the low production value and questionable music choice, but I thought my subscribers would like to see a quick tour of The Quail: A Motorsports Gathering at the 2023 Monterey Car Week.
With tickets priced from $550, The Quail is arguably the most prestigious car show in the world. Set on a Californian golf course, the event includes automotive greats like the Ferrari 250 GTO and 250 Testa Rossa, plus a huge range of classics from almost every era.
This year also saw a collection of modern supercars like the Porsche Carrera GT and Aston Martin One-77, plus a selection of cars marking 60 years of McLaren - including a Monaco Grand Prix-winning car driven by Ayrton Senna.
Even the catering is top-notch, with complimentary food and drinks provided by The Peninsula hotel company, plus help-yourself oysters and champagne, and even a stand handing out free caviar.
