I'm like one of the biggest John Maus fans i know lol I saw him in Chicago in November and although I was their was no band due to Joe's passing, rip. It was still amazing! I love what this man is doing. I just wish he had back up like a dj doing all his music transitions so he can focus more of his stage presence and vocals. If it would improve his live shows even more! And we can also hear the instrumental we never hear, like the beautiful piece after Manic 👌 its kills me to not hear that at his live shows. ALL HAIL JOHN MAUS
@@krmnklas It's not like the audience is having fun because he's mourning. I saw him play live in Richmond, VA two months ago. You could feel so much love emanating from everyone in the audience and from John himself. The encore was incredible. When he came back out on stage, you could see a look of pure blissful contentment on his face. Nothing about that night was inappropriate. He chose to tour this year and nights like that are probably why he wanted to do another tour in the first place.
I think he expresses himself unlike what the rhythm of the music is telling him. Whenever I listen to john maus ( Never live), I dont rock out,tap throughout, but more think of philosophy and life and go with my emotions, which is in this world very lost. Is it good? To history it will probably be ridiculed by out of context ears, but those who experience it then had a regenerating experience. So yea, he looks ugly, but he is only the conduit for the listener to just let go as well acceptably.
@@Paulohenrique0 I never heard of Ian Curtis, but I do see the stem of similarities, and John Maus (I believe has a mental illness like Ian). And Ian Curtis did "Love will Tear us apart", I didn't know that. I dont know much about the history behind Jobn Maus style.

I was there and it was such an intimate and surreal experience, and honestly I believe that this is very therapeutic for him as well.
why he always shake without rhythm ?
