    Privet! How many litres came out and how many litres did you put in? What about torque converter drain? Do these have one or not necessary? Thanks!

      Privet to you as well! About 4 liters, I think. No, I didn’t drain the torque converter. Just the pan. If you want, you can drain the converter too. They have a drain plug

    did you have to drain the torque converter as well?
    edit: what are advantages and disvantages of draining torque converter?

    • @VITOSGARAGE
      @VITOSGARAGE  2 роки тому

      I didn’t drain it on this car. You can drain it. Nothing wrong with that. You’ll need more fluid if you drain the converter

    Hello Vito. How you can rate Elring rubber quality? I often prefer Original gaskets, are they worth to pay double, or Elring is the same quality?
    Greetings From Georgia :)))

      Elring is a great brand. I’ve used a lot of Elring gaskets and seals before and they’re good. Thank you 😊

    I have a R107 (1983 380SL). It's pretty similar I believe...
    How much Transmission oil does it needs? I have bought 7 liters, approx 1.85 gallons.
    And I should add ATF few bottles at a time?
    How do I do it? Can you please guide?
    Also do you know how much engine oil is required in these cars?
    Thanks

      @VITOSGARAGE  2 роки тому +1

      Hello. I usually buy those two big gallons of transmission fluid (Red Valvoline Multi Vehicle ATF). I used a Lucas trans additive in the video. You can use that too if you want.
      Add about 5 liters first. Then, start the engine and shift through all the gears a few times. Then, while the engine is running in Park, check the trans fluid level. Adjust it to max. The car has to be level.
      For the engine oil: use full synthetic Mobil 1 10w-30 or 10W-40. Buy two gallons too. It takes around 7 or 8 quarts. You’ll have some extra oil left over in the bottle.

      @@VITOSGARAGE I think or I definitely know that I overflowed the transmission fluid.
      It started leaking, I thought maybe the bolts are lose, so I tightened them. There was still leak, I pumped out almost 1.5 quarts of oil back. Still see some dripping. Now I’m confused 😕
      Should I drain out more? I initially added almost 6.5 quarts. Or can there be any other reason?
      This is my first time doing it. Or final solution will be to drain it all again completely and add?
      As you said, I added almost 5 quarts first, waited for it to heat up, shifted the gears, put it on idle and added almost 1.5 quarts more.
      My dip stick doesn’t have max or min and since I’m new I messed up. It also smokes cus oil is dripping and touching hot exhaust and other stuff.
      Should the oil level be always between two lines?
      Any suggestion is helpful, thanks.

    What Lucas product did you use and why?

    • @VITOSGARAGE
      @VITOSGARAGE  2 роки тому

      Lucas transmission fix and mainly because I like that additive. It’s a thick red additive and I always put 1 bottle into old school cars when I change the fluid. It goes well along with new fresh fluid
