BMW F650 GS - wymiana uszczelniaczy pompy - rapid repair of pumps

Thanks for the video. That pin is hollow 3mm and you need an exact punch to get it out. Also Viton seals are better choice especially if you have G650x on which you need to disassemble frame to get a cover off to put full kit.
Wow, like surgery. Even the music gave it an edge. Brilliant.
This video is really helpful !! thank you!!

Pegaso oil seals (AP0230195) will fit and are available to buy on their own.
Thanks from Ukraine!
hi there!great video! how have these seals held up so far?Any leakage yet?
OMG. That's genius.
part number SKF 10x26x7 mm HMSA 10V
Thanks
bravo my friend it looks like an easy repair
but it seems the new seals wont be easy to change with the "screw extracting method"
they have less rubber for the screw to attach to
paulo nunes no te entiendo?🤷🏻♂️

Super materiał, też mam f650gs tylko dakara z 2005 roku, masz smykałkę do mechaniki. Rób prosze filmów dużo bo cenna wiedza, wuminailes moze filtr paliwa na ten od chyba golfa IV moze? Mowia ze pasuje i kosztuje 8razy mniej niż oryginal.
Perfect
Exelente
there is a known problem. The metal pin of pump turning cause damage to the two plastic seals so it let oil mix with antifreeze which can cause even total damage to the engine if you do not observe that on time!It can be solved by better designing replacing these two plastic gaskets with bearings but BMW prefer not to change anything on the part it sells so the owners had to do what you see regurarly on service repair!yes it sucks!as the often idle problems!my first and last bmw for sure.
Witaj, przypadkiem motocykl nie jest na sprzedaż?
Hi, how to remove metal pin from rotor in 3:20 min. Which tool?
Thank you from Brazil
Did you drain the oil before starting the operation or just the coolant?
I did not drain the oil. Coolant yes
bravo
Cuanto tiempo puede durar esa reparacion?
What type of coolant have you used?
👍
I have the same problem and my plan was remove all parts as your first video that you fix the pump. which solution is better?
What did you finally do?
Dont do it. Remove all. The problem is not the seal. this is harder than the metal shaft
I have seen many worn and finer shafts.
We must replace all, Seals and shaft.
this video is only in case of urgency.
The seals are harder than the shaft? I used this method and the shaft was in perfect condition, yet the seals were brittle because of age.
How do you say "...this is harder than the metal shaft"? I don't understand this.
@@daegueric i know its a long time ago...U can use this method and afer inspection of the driveshaft choose ur next step. in case of deep marks , u have to change all .
My F650 gs Dakar flashes a red temperature light for a few seconds on shutdown is this normal or do i have a problem? It's 2006 with 1325km on the clock
its normal. you only have to worry if she does not turn the light off when the engine is on
Witam. Gdzie kupiłeś te Uszczelniacze do bmw? I 4 sztuki?
w sklepie metalowym Warszawa ul Terespolska
Do you have the exact size of the seals? Thanks. Great video
26x10x7 mm
12x28x7 mm
Hello.
Did you have to remove all the engine oil? or do not need ?
in the BMW GS 650 you do not need to drain the oil
thank you sir.
You have two videos, about water pump.
Does this video solve the problem? Or do you have to remove the clutch cover?
Can you tell me the size of the seals that you used? Regards
I have used simering 10x26x7
Please I need your help.I am a BMW f650cs bike user and my bike overheat all time;I have change coolant, water pump seal and fan too is working correctly but still no charge and what do I do
Maybe air in your coolant circuit. I had the problem when i was in the mountains
Or you have damaged the thermostat
Witajcie. Chciałbym to zrozumieć przed naprawą :) Pozdrawiam
A i podkładkę też należałoby wymienić.
I need to the job to the coolant pump because not spining, how to solve this problem and why is it not spinning, should it also spin when the bije is running?
@@fulminatorix thankyou!
@@fulminatorix is the pump always rotating when engine is on?
@@souf900 yes
Why did you flip the second seal?
happyhappyhani balance maybe?? I dunno...
They go back to back, lip outward.
I have a 2001 gs I took the fairings off of it to have them wrapped and it ended up sitting 4 years outside. I cleaned her up and put her back together and she just wont idle right I cleaned the injectors, replaced damaged fuel lines etc. I still cant get it to idle right with out dying it will idle at the right rpm for seconds than die If i keep consistent throttle it wont die. any suggestions?
Picka Part Party I had a similar problem tried a power reboot with no success then just wound in the throttle adjuster to slightly open the butterfly. Worked no problem. Hope this helps
I think you have a problem with the IAC valve. It is compulsory to clean it and grease it very well.
Can you put the measurements of the retainer?
10/26/7
"Don't try at home" video. There is clearly visible worn groove on pump shaft at 4:37 made by seal edge. Such replacement won't last long, you'll loose coolant & screw your engine. Cheap fix to sell the bike to poor fool.
Replace only with shaft (require removing clutch cover).
You can wrap a piece of nylon on the shaft during the insertion of the seal. This will prevent from the possible damage of the seal.
