I cannot believe how on the Police station you missed the escape tunnel under the bench in the jail cell, and that the bed lifts up in the apartment so the news stand guy who lives there can steal the donuts, and have a headline for the papers. The story with this set is amazing and it should be rated higher.
REALLY fun 2 parter! Lots of great points, lots of interesting opinions. I haven't even seen most of these in person, so I can't really rate the whole lot, but Assembly Square is definitely my favorite of the ones that I've built.
Really entertaining video! I agree with most of the ratings of these modulars, and it was really fun watching you guys talk for 2 hours over this theme. From a personal standpoint I would not rank Corner Garage as the 4th best modular ever. The Police Station should also rank higher because it actually has a breakout possibility. The Diner should also be right behind the Fire Brigade at number 9 :) Otherwise a great list! Greetings from Norway.
I think the complaints about the plainess of the backs of the building are a bit overdone. These are city modulars, and city buildings are generally plain on the back. Behind the building would be an alley, which is a crime risk and not scenic, and rarely is much money spent on that part of the exterior.
Oh my gosh! And in the Part 1, how many times the plain corner builds were mentioned! They are completely covered by other buildings...it doesn't matter!
I’m probably biased because I just started collecting Modulars last year w the Boutique Hotel, but the newer ones are preferable to me solely because of the detailed interiors. Everything prior to Detective’s Office just doesn’t seem as fun to build to me, because the interiors are usually the best part. Also, I feel like Daily Bugle and Sanctum Sanctorum should have honorable mentions, as they’re definitely part of the modular system!
The extra buildings on either side of the Police Station are unusually narrow for a city. They do occur (rarely), but there's usally some sort of inheritance or "spite" story behind them.

I came here to comment this!!! Lol the police station has some of the best story in all the modules!! Great video nonetheless
The bed in the apartment above the donut shop flips up to reveal a secret trap door, too.
The police moduler there is an escape area in cell. Lift bed up there’s a small hole with a spoon inside.
I imagine the crack in the back of the building shows how close the criminals are to digging out with their spoon.

Palace Cinema was the only modular with stickers. All after that are printed.

Of the top 8 in the list, 7 were designed by Jamie Berard.

You should have added the ghost busters hq to these videos
The "Picasso" in the Art Gallery of the Hotel is a depiction of Galidor's Nick Bluetooth.
Its easy to build assembly square on separate baseplates
