NEVER let parents teach their kid how to drive, unless they are a driving instructor by trade, that always get a PERFECT score in driving tests, or they will teach them their own bad driving habits, and then the kid will add their own bad driving habits, and will teach them to their kid, etc...
It's not that difficult. It's probably just a matter of starting with real driver's license training.
american governments have all of the wrong law enforcement tactics. too focused on speed, inspections, tyranny against CMVs, and window tints, but nothing about common sense lane movements. i literally see police just ride the left lane at 15 over the limit, entering people's plates into their laptops. it's just gross. the left lane should be 90 mph, and would safely be so if american drivers had driving lane etiquette and discipline.
@@94nolo Yes, a little police training wouldn't hurt either!
The car lights are flashing because they are LED and the frequency of the power supply is not in sync with the camera FPS
As a swede I didn't know anything about driving on a 3-lane highway. It's different here. Mainly because whenever you actually find more than 2 lanes on a highway here it's usually because 2 highways have merged into one highway for a stretch of the way, so different lanes will now have different destinations. The tricky thing is then to read the signs and keep track of which lane goes where so you don't end up being forced to drive to someplace you didn't intend to go. And if it's rush hour traffic congestions you actually better know beforehand which lane you should get into because it might be too late when you see the sign telling you about it.
The Uk needs to address this issue, especially the M25. Many many drivers seem to be totally unaware of lane procedures, causing unnecessary bottlenecks. Signage and public information advertising is needed. Also the police need to enforce the law more. Lane hogging is now considered Dangerous Driving with unlimited points/fine.
German here. Yepp, the Rechtsfahrgebot, the drive-right ordinance, exists because in Germany passing on the right is strictly illegal. One exception: when all lanes are congested, and rolling traffic does not exceed 60km/h, roughly 35mph, you are allowed to CAREFULLY pass on the right. But you see the number of caveats for this exception. Pretty much: stay in your lane during a traffic jam, and roll past others slowly and carefully on either side.
But for all intents and purposes you perfectly explained the Rechtsfahrgebot in Germany.
In very heavy traffic in and around large cities, there are times when the far right lane should be reserved for those that need to exit at the next opportunity. In bumper to bumper traffic such as rush hour or when special events are happening, that lane can be slowed down or even stopped for many miles with cars that need that exit. If you are caught in that lane and no driver will let you move left, you may end up exiting when you don't want to.
Driving in the left lane, unless it is to overtake is illegal in The Netherlands. You could and will get a fine for "driving unneccesary on the left". The current fine (2024) is 270 Euro, or 290 USD.
Maybe you can introduce ' driving in Block': one block drive at speed of 100 Km/h proximaly 70Miles/h
In the UK traffic joining the Motorway should match the speed of traffic already on the lane and merge in turn.
That's how it is in Sweden too.
It's a thing here in the Netherlands as well. I think the unwritten rule is to move to the right unless you're passing another car within 10 seconds, but a lot of cars stick to the middle lanes.
I have to say I do it as well sometimes, same as sticking in the left lane, but in both cases only if there's basically no one driving faster than me. If I see someone getting closer (and thus driving faster), I move over.
About speed limits, here in general you don't see signs unless the speed is different from the default 100 km/h. You'll generally also see them a bit later, after the merging point, so you don't have to focus on safely merging and looking at signs at the same time. Exception is when the speed limit is actually lower than 100 km/h, but those places are rare.
And yeah, merging onto a highway with half the max speed... Don't get me talking about that :x
common sense. as an american truck driver, yeah it's just stupidity at play.
Even in most European countries, speed limit signs at each motorway entrance aren't that commonplace. Maybe in Finland speed limits are posted at all roads, but in many European countries, you have to know the default speed limits for motorways, built-up areas and other roads.
Well I’ve been living here for 2 years so everything here became the norm for me
Especially since I got my license here
@@foreignreacts and I hope it's manual :D
@@uncle_matula it actually was
In Finland they are at the points where it might change. There is regulations that "city you drive 50km/h and freeway 80/100" etc so there is no speed limit signs everywhere. Just like most of Europe. Lapland is kind of different because non finnish people drive lots there and there is signs much more :'D
In Spain we have signals everywhere. So I dont know what are you talking about
Of course he is driving and auto as well 😀
Oh I'm from the UK as well.
The original video link isn’t right 😂
This is also fact in Europe. Just go right if you are not passing :D
Can I give you one suggestion? Do a comparison between your life in the US Vs Europe
Ppl in the us already have no clue how to merge n u want us to merge even more often??? Hell nah lmao thats riskyyyy
Here in The Netherlands its really good too. People actually move to the most right lane when they passed someone. It's not that difficult. But yea americans so didnt expect too much lol. No offense
Depends where you drive I suppose, can imagine it being better outside of the Randstad where there's a little less traffic. I drive the A2 (Den Bosch - Amsterdam) multiple times a week, and there a lot of cars sticking to the middle lanes when the right lane is free
It’s only good when there’s 2 lanes. When there’s 3 lanes or more lane discipline falls appart in the middle lane(s)
Why has he got RED LIGHTS on the dashboard ?
Why not? My previous car had the same, couldn't change it either. Ok during daytime, amazing during night time. Very visible but also not as blinding as blue or green light for example.
@@ExitiumNL No the instrumentation had several red lights which are usually symbolic of danger illuminated whilst he was driving. amber being warnings and green being informative.
wrong link for the video
just undertake lol
Is the driver indicating too change lanes?
I think he did
Not sure if he did all the times
Of course not he's driving a BMW. 😂
It's just lazy driving nothing more nothing less.
So, sorry but, not only in the US you do not have, in most places, sufficient and adequate public transportation, you also cannot drive. So... you cannot walk around, you can try to use a bicycle, and everything is kms away from where you live. Ok. Glad I live in Europe.
When this US driver is explaining about right side overtaking, he is forgetting one important thing!!!
It is NOT allowed and You WILL get fined if doing so!! As in not permitted in traffic rules anywhere in Europe!!!!
The ONLY reason not to have a fine if "overtaking" left in multitrack Highways is when traffic is bumper to bumper in ALL lanes!!!!!
No ifs or but's about it or officer I was doing it "safely"!!!!! There is no such thing!!
No you were not it is prohibited!!!! You will have a fine and a point in You drivers-license!!
You keep saying the is not sign for the speed limit!!!
You are wrong!!!!
Road sign nr. 330 - Autobahn
Road sign nr. E 42 other European countries
These signs will be at the entrance of the motorway or autobahn and there are signs for motor traffic roads too!!!
FYI!! If someone are flashing high beam lights, you were supposed to move Your vehicle to the right for overtaking on the road!!
Kindly the Danish Viking
I think you've got your left and right mixed up. 😉Left side overtaking is mandatory in right hand traffic in Europe, it's right side overtaking that's illegal
You are right I wasn't thinking!! Thanks!!@@ExitiumNL
No disrespect to you but most Americans drives like how they think. I am an American I can do what I want.
You’re absolutely correct.
Bist du Kriss Tucker??😂😂❤
