    But the bread in Europe is REAL bread not a collection of sugar and additives like the US

      Exactly. And bread with only good butter on it is not unhealthy. Maybe only unhealthy when compared to what the US call bread - and as far as I heard their butter is also not comparable to European butter.

    I’m from Spain. Lunch is the most important meal of the day. I’m still make zucchini purée. It can be eaten hot or cold.
    Dinner at night is very late so it is a very light meal. No good to eat a lot at 9 pm and go to bed afterwards.
    The bread is real, baked fresh 4 times a day. No additives or preservatives.

      The only bread I really don't like (I have Brit tastes) is Bimbo. It's far too sweet. Normally I'll buy from the bakery, or go to Iceland just to stock up on bread that doesn't taste like a donut.

    As a German, I am offended and disgusted that they put bratwurst in a hot dog bun.
    And this is also the saddest pretzel I have ever seen in my life.
    If you cant cook it in the US then just leave it out.
    Just for information, I would eat a German roll (Brötchen) without anything or a little butter, but I would throw a hotdog bun in the bin straight away.

    • @uncle_matula
      @uncle_matula 2 місяці тому

      it's a pity, the vegetable protein is about a tenth of the animal protein, the amino acid profile is shit, I'm saying this from Budapest, I'm not far away. Obviously I'm not talking about the miserable past centuries, but the present. They are pushing this vegan nonsense everywhere, there is nothing more harmful than that. It barely absorbs any useful nutrients. Eat meat, eggs, offal (liver), there is no healthier alternative...

    The bread here in Europe is mostly very healthy, dark oats bread, oats bread, even the light of breads have oats in them, also none sugar other then treats, i hear usa have mostly sugar and additives in their breads, we got none of that here i live atleest (Norway), we are very strict about what stuff is allowed in our foods. Now our lunch food i provided by the schools for free, schools are free too btw, so it's actual free lunch and healthy,
    know from chef pov working at a high school since i made bread for the school and food in the cafeteria they could buy if they wanted hot foods, one of the hot foods was pizza, you'd think it's unhealthy, but we mixed in alot of all fresh veggies in to the souce like broccoli, carrot, onion, celeriac, tomato, tomato pura, oh also the bottom had oats in it, the only unhealthy part would be the cheese, very good pizza though, even we chefs had it for lunch, was a popular lunch, and you could not notice the veggies at all as we crushed it down to a mush and the taste was god like.
    The lunch would fill you up for the rest of the school day till you go home and eat dinner, the pizza/hot lunch costed 30nok for a quarter of a square pizza or other dishes sometimes a whole dinner plate

    Great reaction, really enjoyed this!
    Borscht is a beetroot soup, but it can also contain meat since there are many variations of it, so it can have some protein in it, but I'm not from Ukraine so can't say exactly how it's served in their schools, there is also a green Borscht made with herbs instead of beetroot.

      I'm French, and sweet cheese sounds so very alien to me. 😮 I'm used to savory, strong, more or less smelly cheese. Maybe neutral, if you go for cream cheese, like the brand St Moret, that can be used for cheesecakes or other desserts.

    They are fish fingers (with a jacket potato with biscuits not cookies on the side) which can be made from any type of fish for example Haddock my hometown Grimsby is a Haddock port it had the largest fishing fleet in Britain until the 70s when the fleet declined due to the cod wars with Iceland (there was no actual fighting other than Icelanders fighting British fishermen with The Royal Navy as protection). Today Grimsby is the largest fish processing centre in Britain with the largest concentration of coldstores in Britain. Fish is exported from Grimsby docks around the world I loaded a lorry full of frozen fish destined for China. The Saucy Fish Company based in Grimsby sells its products to a number of countries including america. Salmon is usually either cooked in the oven or fried as you will see it on the packet of fillets depending on the company who processes it.
