5:20 - FYI, the thing that Quincy used for the Azure Spice is butterfly pea flower tea. It is a tea that actually brews to a very vibrant blue color that turns an even more vibrant purple when citrus is added. I've seen it used in some drink recipes. Not surprised someone as well travelled as Quincy has some in stock!
my mom wanted to find some, we had no luck but me and my dad found this tea shop that had some they didn't have any packaged for sale but did sell some fresh made as tea so we got two cups one for me one to take home for my mom it looks better then it tastes you have to add a lot to it
Woah, that last one hit me in the feels. Also, thanks for the inspiration about using unused characters as npc's. I'm DMing a campain and have only one session left. The adventurers were invited to a feast for a noble couple. The couples invited their old adventuring pals and I didn't really want to make more work for myself. So that helps out a lot.
My first campaign as a DM was literally Kobolds in a boat. Captain thought they were baby dragons, which is why they were brought on board. Crew realized what they actually were, and mutiny broke out. Kobolds had to fight the crew. They freed the Captain because he continued to insist that they were young dragons-- and chased the final turncoat of the crew to an island. The next session is literally them going to hunt this turncoat on said island. He will be using traps, decoys, the natural wildlife, and many other tactics to try surviving them. If this goes well, then the hunt may even take them to the main land where they can begin to gain experience in earnest. TLDR: Kobolds on a pirate ship chasing a turncoat for their newly adopted Captain.

Also a crossbow right by your head would have disadvantage unless they had the sharpshooter feat. Also unless you were pretty low on hp or something similar, it should be fine because you could still possibly manage to partly dodge the crossbow maybe suffering a cut along the back of the head(for flavor reasons).
Me and the other DM for our campaign decided very early on that as long as the person's mouth was open, their lungs counted as an open container. We had a player with the create or destroy water spell, and they wanted to use it.
Im super new to dnd and I don’t understand most of what’s going on here besides the basic stuff, but it seems super interesting and I want to start playing now lol

Just a quick FYI Human brains have adapted to doing things that work, including by watching what other things do that work. This includes idealizing the characters who have had and solved the problems we have. So if you see yourself paying an above normal amount of attention to any one particular character, take a look at who they are, and who you are. Maybe the solution they used will work for you, or maybe it won't, but regardless, the first step to solving a problem is to recognize it exists
Question: I’m trying to get into DND and create a renaissance sheriff/officer. What should I make their stats? I’ve played a bit of Elden Ring so maybe if you explain it a bit like Strength: 15. I wanna play with them but I have no friends to do it with. Story: He’s a sheriff who sees and hears voices that aren’t real (Schizophrenia) and can’t stop smiling because he wants everyone to think he’s alright, he is not alright and has anger issues.
It's ''Concerning Hobbits'' from The Lord of The Rings OST , I strongly recommend the LOTR trilogy (extended edition ofc), it's an absolute masterpiece :)
Okay listen this is my shouldn’t of worked. It was a castlevania inspired one-shot, now the only issue is that my character was the adopted child of the dodge, since the main campaign(usual DM was out no one knew till we got there,) was of course also a vampire campaign set in the 1500’s, now one of our party members got caught up with a cauliflower demon, and my deal for him to let us go was we’d get him Dracula’s soul in exchange for our lives. Cauliflower demon agrees, win win we were going to kill Dracula anyways. But we did it with little violence, I holy warred my ass out of everything, “I’m literally the dodges kid Dracula has my birth certificate for his own safety.” My god but what is the real thing, my wizard rolled the contract, and I got a D20 for writing up Dracula signing away the rights to his soul. The only reason my bullshit worked? Was a D20 contract.

Quincy always makes me feel better when I see his content. Even outside of the context of D&D, his words are healing.

I'm planning to try this in the Blades In The Dark campaign I'm gonna run soon!
Meanwhile I'm rolling up 50+ character sheets as a method of NPC generation
