    • @spruceandlinen

@@beccabentleyxx personally I would suggest warping like I did, and using a chunky yarn. With a double warp your pattern will come out much smaller, and you'd probably need to use thinner yarn.

Could you do a video on how to weave a diamond shape? I know it’s just 2 triangles but because my warp threads are spaced out quite a lot it looks like a blocky diamond. My triangles look fine though which is sort of weird. But if I follow the same pattern for the diamond as I did with the triangles then the diamond ends up being really small. And I can’t change how far apart the loom threads are either

I already warped my loom and want to use the twill pattern. I’m going to try it and then create a border for the extra strings. Can I just do tabby on the extra floating strings?

What size of linen yarn did you use for the warp?
I have been using 8/8 cotton for my frame loom weaving and my finished work is a little too floppy for my liking.

This is 4/12 linen from my shop, it's thinner than 8/8 but it is definitely stiffer than cotton: spruceandlinen.com/collections/warp-string/products/4-12-natural-linen-warp-string

Wow. Would your result not look more like your pattern if warp threads were the same size as your weft threads? Then again, maybe this would lead weavers to wish for a much tighter weave? Still, as I try this, I will plan a warp and weft of the same size. Thanks for the video. Peace.

Hi Nora, check your spam folder and make sure it's not in there, you may have to open the first Welcome email and confirm your subscription/add us to your safe senders. Try that first and let me know that doesn't work.
