Hey gang, this is the last video of 2023. Thank you for everyone that's followed our journey this year and the many ones before 💚 We appreciate you and we hope this video could show you just how important your support is. For the new ones here: welcome! If you haven't yet downloaded Ecosia, please give it a try, the planet deserves it 🤗 Alright, see you on the other side, have a good start to 2024 🫶 Love from the Ecosia team
Such a beautiful story from Senegal. In his report, Bassirou keeps on mentioning the word 'gereb', which all the way across the Sahel to my beautiful country Eritrea also means 'tree' or 'forest' in our language. In the meanwhile, I bought some pretty large barren land in Rwanda and we are in the process of turning it into a food forest. As Bassirou said: "you will not be the only one eating from it". That is the spirit our world needs and I am so grateful that Ecosia, Trees for the Future and many souls worldwide are leading this revolution for Mother Earth and humanity. Much love!
There is a future where humans can be earths greatest asset and lifes biggest success. We just need to work for it, like the people in this video have.
"In 50 years, everyone will say that was the work of Bassirou Seck" Truly inspiring! What an amazing start, just in 5 years the change was so impressive, I can't imagine how it will look in 50 years ❤
Planting to imitate savanna in currently barren flatlands, reintroducing trees (forests) to hilltops is an important task. Making sure they are polycultures to ensure health and food resiliency is equally important. Mark Shepard's restoration ag is a good model for just about everywhere.
I love this wonderful story of the Seck family. They all help on the farm and all 6 of the children attend school. The satellite shots from 2.52 give a terrific overview of their agroforest's development. No wonder their neighbours want one too!
We are not only Planting trees to help the Environment At the same time a Huge Help to people! 💚💚 Thank you Ecosia!🌳 Salamat madami! Love from the Philippines 🇵🇭🎄💚🌳
Here’s hoping Africa can be united around a central premise of revitalization and cultivation of edible plant species for food availability and stability and make Africa great again.
Hearty Congratulations and Greetings Dear Our ECOSIA!! Hope, by the time, this month ends and the new year arrives, We Greet You all to plant the 200, 000, 000 th Tree successfully!! Greetings!
So inspiring to see how this family have transformed their monoculture into a forest garden and begun to experience so many benefits for themselves and their community. I'm proud to be an Ecosia user helping support this kind of work!
That's amazing! All that growth in 5 years! I would love to know what all the trees are. I hope they get to have more woods like these in their community. I live in Wales where we have lots of woods, but we lose trees to storms that are becoming more frequent. The more, denser woods you have, they protect each other from high winds & flooding. So i hope the green area expands to give it more resilience
To me this is humanity living as we are meant to. Coexisting and working together to build a more prosperous life for us and our lands. This is love actualized and i am so inspired by your works. Thanks and love from the Sonoran Desert 🏜
Magnificent effort. Hard work and sweat rewarded with a place to settle and bring up your children to be wise about the earth they have inherited. Bless you.
Fantastic work, and also a good slap to people who believe that African people are unable to do anything well. Congratulations and respect to you, Mister Seck !
Every time I visit this channel I start crying like an idiot lol. The work y'all do is so beautiful, and every time I feel like the world is hopeless I take a look at what y'all are doing.
Such an inspiring video, kudos to you all including this beautiful couple with the courage to go ahead despite other people's misgivings. I have a few small trees I planted in my tiny South Wales garden & recently took part in a tree planting session with Coed Caerdydd - Cardiff Trees - planting hundreds of mixed saplings adjoining nearby woodland as a volunteer with two classes from local schools & our local council Parks Department. When they have their own children in the future those kids will be able to show them the woodland they planted themselves. They loved every muddy minute of it & so did I!
It seem that giving to charities changes little, but supporting projects like this will change the world I think. A seemingly simple concept that can be undertaken communally or even individually, but requiring dedication, can be so transformative. Exceptional.
Very nice work. The whole sahara could be a green place!! Let´s stop the war around the world and regreen every place. Plant trees everywehre. Grettings from germany
Amazing Allahumma sholli wa sallim wa baarikh ala Sayyidina Muhammadin wa'ala ali Sayyidina Muhammadin fil awwalin wal aakhirin wa fil mala'il a'laa ilaa Yaumiddin
Now you need to get the other land owners to do the same thing and the trees will do their magic. great video. I have planted thousands of trees over the years many now are huge, we are all in this world for a short time but the trees will live on as memories of the person that planted them. plant trees and enjoy their shade it is such a simple thing for people to do.
That's actually really great. Let the animals spread the seeds farther around the original farmlands when they finish eating their fill and nature will thrive on its own outside your initial influence!
extraordinary!!! this is poor people from senegal super inspiring! imagine what rich people from rich countries could do....... but they do the exact opposite!
Read Charles Massey's books on Regenerative Farming. He expounds on how grasses with different roots cooperate in binding the water in the soil even during drought. His farm in Australia has always got pasture for the animals.

Around 1 billion trees or more thriving in that area of Senegal, Africa perhaps it will be cooler temperature that time.
Incredible how quickly the trees improve the environment. Keep up the good work Ecosia.
Words cannot describe how thankful I am
WE'RE thankful that you're part of our community! 💚
Merry Christmas and a happy new year for the Ecosia community. Let's plant a lot of trees in 2024! 🌳❤

Wonderful! I hope we can all leave something like this as a legacy.
I have been searching in Ecosia since 2019. 🌲🌲🌲
And I will keep searching.
That's incredible!
A true hero who will live forever in his legacy!
THANKS ECOSIA ❤❤❤

Just incredible of what Bassouri Seck has done. Many of the permaculture channels that I follow on UA-cam don't look like that.
It's always nice to see where also the donated money ends up ❤❤
Really enjoyed seeing some before/after images where you could actually see the changes!
A wonderful uplifting story in grim times around the world🙏🇬🇧❤❤
✨✨✨✨
Being very skeptical about something new can be very constraining on a community, but this man persevered and showed them what can be done. Wonderful!
Keep up the good work. 🙋🏻♂️🎄🌲🌳🌴
I hope their success will inspire anyone who visits and sees and feels what they have accomplished.
