@outertale sans No, beside eggman we also have a screen with scary looking sonics that the fans dubbed as "Majin Sonic". It wasn't supposed to be a scary easter egg but was known as that because of the american soundtrack for Sonic CD.
Quite on the contrary, they seem to have grown quite fond of that one ever since you-know-what, even going as far as to reference it in an illustration they released back on Halloween 2021. On top of that, they even referenced it a bit even by the past, mostly in stuff related (indirectly or not) to Forces like the screen's infamous phrase (which actually originates from old SEGA Sougou catalogues) being found on the back of the metallic download code bundled with Sonic Mania's Collector's Edition. And given the name of Forces' secondary antagonist, you can pretty much see why. And if you look closely when they show the image codes, part of it (showing the Mazin signature, after Masato Nishimura's childhood nickname) actually fades in.

Elemental shields in the prior games was always one of my biggest wishes. Knuckles in Doomsday and Sonic vs Super Metal/Mecha are things I don't think I've ever even considered. (2:37) That sounds completely impossible. I'm sticking to selecting stages through "My Rankings".
WOW, that's insane! Insanely awesome! But with some videos criticizing the authenticity factor from "forcing" you to still have the spindash in Sonic 1, and many critiques about lack of features keeping Origins from being the definitive version it could've been.... why wait an entire month after release to let us know these things are actually in the game? Elemental shields in the prior games was always one of my biggest wishes. Knuckles in Doomsday and Sonic vs Super Metal/Mecha are things I don't think I've ever even considered. This video was just so exciting I can't even remember if it covered everything I thought I wanted or not. It almost doesn't even matter because what's included looks so great!
I was expecting this video to go over the old sound test cheats from the Genesis, but I was certainly NOT expecting all the new stuff. I planned on holding off for a sale (or maybe even physical release announcement down the road) before getting Origins but these videos have really increased the hype for this game for me. Marketing for this and Frontiers may have started out rocky but both campaigns seem to be ending with a huge bang.
