honestly the Garen quote makes no sense if it is related to galio or petricite because he says nothing like it to J4 or Xin. The reason that I think he says it is because Garen has magic within him just like his sister giving him strength like the ability to see when people break pacts or when a villain has done certain horrible actions, would explain his light sword finisher in the cinematic and ability to heal quicker than other individuals like in lux's story about the tomb.
Yeah, this. It seems like Necrit got the Garen quote completely wrong. It makes so much more sense to talk about the innate magic that Garen and his bloodline carries.
Roe yes exactly, since he it related to lux and petricite is nothing more then a tool that demacians use, that's the only logical explanation..plus some demacians literally despise magic why would they use petricite then?

When Jinx was teased she vandalised riots' page, and at the end of the tease and jinx was released there was a note on her lore (and at that time all champions had their lore under their information tab, skills and such). The note was about someone looking for her signed "C". It wasn't a threat kinda note so it wasn't Caitlyn, more like a friendly "i worry about you note". Camille is Jinxs' Grandaunt :/
For Camille, I thought that it was hinting that Camille was the C in Caitlyn’s lore. And that Caitlyn is Camille”s grandniece EDIT: I also just found out that Camille has a quote for Caitlyn that further confirms this, “Don’t go looking for what you don’t want to find”
"I am Gregor, the eternal guardian of the Howling Abyss! Avarosa herself killed me; it was a great honor. She bound my spirit here, so I can sound the horn if the Watchers return."
Keep in mind that Greyor exclaims and asks "is that...avarosa's bow!?" It's not a straight up confirmations. Greyor was loyal to avarosa so it's possible he just really wants this to be true
I love the Riven interaction, even if it doesnt reveals anything new, its good to remind Riven has a good heart because looking at her in game I only feel hate
Swain does not have ultimate knowledge, or omniscience or anything like that from his demon; he simply rips fragments of souls from his enemies. When he consumes them, he gains a bit of insight, like a fragment of memory. This is why he says ''I already knew that'' when he consumes a soul fragment from an enemy swain. He would obviously know everything about himself. The eye has nothing to do with it. The interactions activate with swain's passive, and it happens that his eye ability procs the passive. But you can also gain soul fragment from right clicking impaired enemies or simply killing them.
Exactly. He has also a quote that says "i hear their whisper in the back of my mind" (something like that) wich reference that he maybe hears the thoughts of the people he "soul drain"
if i remember, the demon he host is the demon of secrets, like Nocturne is of nightmares, so he gains access to their secrets through their soul fragments

A funny thing about the hammer of orion, when sylas steals her ult he says : "I wonder, is this hammer meant for me?" It would be funny if he was really the "hero" of demacia
Ellis NiRoCo I don't think so, if I remember correctly RekSai lore, she was a monster in Shurima legends for centuries, I don't think Kass is that old, is he?
Swain says to Garen, 'Ignorant of the very magic you carry into battle. How Demacian.' Swain is not referencing Galio, as that is to do with Demacia, here he is revealing something about Garen. He is not referring to Petricite, as that is not magical, but rather, feeds off it. Here, Sawin is referencing Garen's sword. In Lux's comic, Garen and Sylas have a duel and Sylas says something along the lines of what Swain has said. He says 'You don't know, do you?' as he absorbs the magic from Garen's sword and uses it against him. I believe that there is a lot more to Garen then Riot lets on, he is like the Captain America of Runeterra. Captain Runeterra 😂. What is possible, is that Garen may carry a rune or something like that, or that Demacia is built on one. We can also assume that Garen's sword is partly relic from Warriors and Sylas' second duel with him, and of course, it may be the blade or the combination of the two blades of the winged protectors of Demacia. Point is, Garen may have one of the most powerful weapons in Runeterra and doesn't even know it. And that the sword could be sending temptations to Garen, but, he is literally the most do good champion, apart from Ryze that we know of. Speaking of Ryze, if we combine my theory of Garen's sword and your theory of Galio, we can probably expect a visit from Ryze, into Demacia. I also think, that with Swain's taunt with Lux refers to the future, I think that, from the video of Warriors, the comic lux, and Sylas, Demacia is going to split in three, the anty-magic, the only-magic and the we-have-misunderstood magic parties, Poppy will support the misunderstood group and find out her true potential and the problem of Demacia will be resolved, moving towards the greater plot of the Void. Anyways, thanks for reading and please respond, or make a video of Garen, I am obsessed with Garen. Also, advice from your audience, I, personally prefer when you expand on things like interactions or Legends of Runeterra rather than reading the stories that we can easily read our selves. Well, thank you. - Zacerath from league of legends.
Garen being magical wouldn't make enough sense. Especially with his relationship with the Mage seekers who would be able to sense the magic in him if he did have magic. What the regeneration represents is Garen's stubbornness to survive. He refuses to die if his country is in danger, as we see in the Lux comic. Not magic, stubbornness, 🙃.
We've never seen any evidence to support that, though I suppose it's possible...? It does however appear far more likely that Garen carries around a sword fuelled with the magic of his fallen enemies, which he unleashes with his R But I guess we'll have to wait for Riot to make Garen's are cannon
''a king remains in the mist and another marches'' swain could also talk about the ruined king within the mist of the shadow isles and mordekaise who marches on the shadow isle to gather souls for a possible siege of noxus
Crazy to finally understand all the lines planned out so far before the release of Arcane. Hope the series keeps on going and gives more answers to other quotes.
When Warwick interacts with Jinx he says "You were there..." and "Let me forget". Now, this may be a little bit tricky. We know that before Warwick became actually Warwick, he was a gangster in Zaun and that a certain point he wanted to wash away all his crimes, leaving the gangster life into his past and becoming, generally, a good man. Reconnecting with Swain's interactions with Jinx "Faces... fading into the flames... it was her fault". I think that Jinx may be not literally the cause of the fire whic melted those faces. If Warwick is really her father, I can assume that he wanted to end his criminal life because he had a baby (that being Jinx) and knew that it would have been dangerous for him and his family to have so much enemies. So she made him reject his life style. But we also know by Warwick's story that even if he tried to get rid of his criminal life, his enemies woulnd't have let him go so easely. I think that another gangster or band of Zaun tried to kill Warwick and his family, by giving his house to the flame. That's also very tipical way used by gangters and mafia's-like organization to get rid of someone. So that would explain the intercation of Swain with Jinx, because if she was never born, Warwick wouldn't have rejected his life and he would still be a gangster. Warwick's mind is now twisted by Singed's experimenting on him, but it is known that he has flash back of his past life, one of a somber man with scars on his arms, another of an old blade coovered in blood and the last but more important, of a girl. The girl was also present in his flashback during Singed's experiments. That girl may be Jinx, and Warwick he's asking her to let him forget her, because he doesn't want to remember the face of her child burning into the flame whic destroyed his house. Probably they both think that the others died into the blaze. The "You were there..." interaction may be referring exactly at the moment when the house started to burn. Yes, i love Warwick and his rework was amagazing and necrit got me so into scavenging to know better his story :D
2nd Update: As more info gets released it is more and more obvious how Swain really works. He can only collect the memories of the dead, so all of those quote only play after he kills a champion. We did a full 2 hours long stream about these quotes alone. Check out our 2nd channel for it's VOD.
Necrit Wait i thought that the whole deal with Swain having quotes after extracting a soul fragment meant that he was reading the information inside your soul, like some sort of mind reading but with the essence of the champion instead of just his/her thoughts, does that make sense? This is probably one of the roots of his power and deep knowledge, nobody can hide the contents of their soul from him.
wouldn't the quote about Garen mean that him, just as Lux, has some kind of magical power? That would explain his Ultimate. In the old cinematic were he calls donw the sword upon Katarina (if you know what i mean....) he seems to be doing it with some resignation, I know im digging too deep there, but is just what comes to my mind
I think the bilge water quote ties in with nautilis. Idk exactly how, but whatever corrupted him has a bigger tie in now. I think the Freljordian quote means that as they fight among themselves, the wards, which I think means the howling abyss, weakens. Remember, Lissandra enchanted it, which causes it to weaken, and eventually break. I think it will break soon, and there could be an event for it. This could be really cool
Swain's interaction to gangplank might also mean that the true enemies are the void creatures, which would tie in to nagakabouros (is that how you spell it?) being a creature of the void. It would also make sense Nami's story tells us that void creatures can spawn beneath the sea
After Pyke reveal, the quote with gp is verry logic, Pyke was ressurected in somehow by the monsters from the deep see and he know verry well what is there then anyone alsp nautilus was bring back by the see so the real enemy is the monsters that transforms people into ghosts or a monster far away powerful, that is king of queen of the "house"
"the vastaya blood is not in my veins, its on my hands" reference to rakans interaction: "you were given Vastayan blood, yet chose to be blind."-Riot probably wanted to expand swains story in different way when rakan was released, swains "bird" abilities were supposed to be tied with him being half vastaya. But now its all about the demon, so swain confirms that its no longer a thing :)
Youre wrong about tryndamere...its not a taunt to barbarians its a taunt to freljordians... When he says "they squabble as the winds howl" hes refering to Freljordians being in petty fights while lissandra is summoning the watchers and thats why the winds "howl"... Meaning lissandra is making progress... Lissandra is also causing the wards to fade so no one notices their early arrival...
Honestly i belive the reason why Swain knows all of that hard to find knoledge mainly comes from the soul shards/fragments that he gets from his passive, he does say those lines AFTER collecting a soul from a champion, also colecting part of their memories and life experiences, that's why he says "I already knew that" after collecting another Swain's soul, he IS swain so he already knew and has those same memories. A skill rather most useful for a master tactician, to gather intel from enemies. Keep up the amazing work on following and interpretating league's lore :)
His passive gives him soul fragments, and since most of these interactions occur when he gains a soul fragment, isn't it more likely that he's reading their memories from the fragments instead?
I'm pretty sure the Warwick quote is actually a reference to Warwick's lore about the girl he tried to save. He tried to rescue a girl from a group of gangsters, but he was so enraged by his blood lust that he just attacked everything around him, and he wasn't sure if he was biting the gang members or the girl. I think Swain is saying that Warwick didn't realize how close the girl was to him so he ended up accidentally killing the girl along with the gang members.
His passive is what gives him those visions. He's literally taking a piece of your soul when he does it so it makes sense he knows these things about ppl.
i had thought when he said "a king remains in the mist and another marches" he was speaking of mordekaiser waiting in the black mist. kind of referencing the coming darkness from his lore update. and also at the end, the "far worse" thing waiting to take noxus, could indeed be mordekaiser reclaiming his kingdom.
No its alot simpler. When he collects a piece of their soul he can see their memory. Thus he knows what they know (Edit) and I'm basing this off of the fact when he does this to himself he says, "I already knew that"
There isn't much proof against that and with how souls are interpreted as something made up of mind and body I wouldn't doubt that they contain memories.
It's very interesting watching Swain's interaction in general because it shows how far ahead they had things planned out. For example, Jinx (Arcane), Kassadin's daughter (Kai'sa), Lux + Karen (Sylas).
Most of the information from this video appears only when Swain takes in a "Soul Fragment" from another champion. So I would think that he does not so much see everything that is going on as he gets glimpses into the lives of others when he "consumes" parts of their souls.
Or MAYBE Garen possesses untapped magic potential but isn't aware of it unlike his sister, which is why he can summon a giant sword of glowing light out of the sky
actually, Riot has already answered to "how can he knows so much things about champions ?" -----> Quote from official website : Having conquered a demon of secrets, Swain can send extensions of his will in the form of ravens across Runeterra, gathering memories from the dead. Some of these whispers haunt him, giving him glimpses of a dark future. This makes Swain a great strategist, but it’s not just because his wisdom stat is higher.
Lu Bue Tbh he probably has some magic powers, since his sister is a full on light mage and magic tends to run in familes. Demacia is probably even built fully with magic however the Demacian people deny it.
I think that when Swain collects a fragment, he gains a little piece of a champion's memory and soul - that's why he talks about what he just learned, and that's why he said he saw into the future with Ekko.
And most likely Swain refers to his own planning as seeing farther into the future. Must be easy for him, knowing all those secrets and hints into personalities.
I feel like what he says to Darius referees to the fact that sooner or later Darius and Swain might fight. After all when it comes to Noxus people are driven by power and those high enough tent to want to rule over others. Swain has seen this numerous times and he acknowledges that even someone who was his friend might come after his head one day. The fact that he only says this if Darius is an enemy also implies this.
I'm gonna dump all my comments, I apologize. Regarding Bilgewater, I think that Swain could be talking about Nautalis or he could be talking about the enemy of Nami, though the Illoai thing makes sense too. Relating to the Aurelian thing, I think it related to Zoe's interactions, how she said that there were other space dragons, and that Aurelian is one of many of them. I think he's saying the same thing, that there is more than one space dragon like Aurelian, possibly even some who are related to him. Apparently the Skin spotlights comments pointed out that "C" was part of Caitlin's lore, so maybe that relates to it. With Ionia, Swain is talking about the genocide/killings of the Vasiya that was mentioned by Xayah and Rakan, and how the deaths of the vastiya is what gave the land its magic to begin with. With Kayn, I think he's talkin bout how Kayn is gay for Zed, and how his hate for him and his love for him are similar. The other king that Swain is refering to with the Shadow isles may have to do with Moredkaiser, not himself. With the Warwick thing, it could be soraka he is refering to but thats old lore so I really have no idea. With Garen, oh I like this one the most so I saved it for last cause this is kinda my favorite type of charactor development. I think he's hinting that Garen has his own magic. Garen is related to Lux, and Lux is a magical protegy, with Lux having so much power it would make sense that Garen would have magic of his own, only unlike Lux he never relaized it. It does explain why his ult is magic, the demcian justice lighting stuff, and it might also explain, at least to me, why his armor is so thick, cause it seems way too big for what it needs to be. I staright up wanna write a fanfic bout this, though i don't know much about Garen lol.
Designer646 you correct on mord theory. However it's more cannon. If want proof this cannon. Just read thersh, kalista, hecarim, mords and yoricks lore and stories. And most of the pieces come together. Most people don't know that mord is an ancient king who was sealed in the vault if the blessed Isles and was guarded by thresh, hecarim and kalista served the mad King first hand. There is a possibility for the return of the mad King as a champion and his daughter.
What if Swain's quote to Garen references that he has magic powers similar to Lux, he just hasn't realised it yet? This would explain why he can summon a giant swort out of thin air.
Just read the Lux comic. Sylas was somehow able to steal magic from nowhere when he was fighting garen; so either Garen has magic (i would say a regeneration and absorption/redirection of magic), or he absorbed ot from the petricite. I would prefer the Garen magic thing though
@@The_One_Of_Moisture Yeah, that can be it too. Kayle's power, but it still seems odd to me that no other demacian champ uses it; if it is infused in certain weapons, or can be infused, then I do not see why they would not put it in xin zhao spear or Quinn crossbow. Perhaps garen power is redirection of magic or he is the only one who can use Kayle's power, because he has some affinity for magic ( btw having affinity for magic does not mean you have magic).
Heyo Necrit! I remember reading a Rioter mention that all (or maybe most) of these interactions happen when Swain collects their soul fragment UPON DEATH (through his passive). This way, you can explain why Lux's interaction with Swain mentioned her falling in battle :))
The "It was only amatter of time, Darius" quote is orobabky referencing how Swain couldn't control Darius forever, so he knew that Darius would turn against him at some point, since he only has this line against an enemy darius. He also has a line to ally Darius, something about Darius trusting him (Swain) and how it might be a mistake.
Ether's Wind i think its referencing swains demon that could consume him. So hes telling darius that it was but a matter of time, that he does what he must(fight against swain)
Skinspotlights had an edit in the comment specifying that a lot of those quotes are when his soul fragment collecting kills an enemy. Which mean that the Lux "fell in battle" line is likely just referring to the game action, not anything lore related. Similarly, the taunt against Darius seems more likely a game reference to the fact that they're fighting, rather than a future storyline.
I think the taunt to Darius at 16:00 references how in the Old lore (or is it still Canon?) Darius knows he could defeat swain and be the new Ruler of noxus, but doesn't want to. Now they are fighting in-game against each other, so it might just be a reference without meaning to the overall lore.
It said in his preview that Swain takes fragments of his enemies souls( his passive). When he collects a soul fragment he also gets memories from the persons soul. (Quotes: their whispers itch at the back of my mind. What have the Ravens brought me?)
I think that is when he steals their soul fragment he gains their thoughts one of his quotes app on getting one from any champion is" is there Whispers itch in the back of my mind" that might mean when he steals a soul fragment he gains their thoughts which is why when he says to ekko a glimpse mere seconds into the future most of Echoes quotes upon dying like that worked another timeline when he's done this battle before so Swain would get to see what he does next
He says the quotes when ripping a soul fragment from enemies, so I'd guess he can see into their Soul, Mind or Past by consuming a piece of their soul, his demon giving him vision all over Runeterra would be a little bit OP lorewise
Swain could know about all these details about champions because the ability used gives him "soul fragments." Maybe these soul fragments give him a piece of their memory, like how ahri would take life essence or memories from her victims.
Swain knowledge comes from crows that collect memories from corpses. And thing about lux 'she fell in battle' probably refers to that damacia is not using magic in battle but lux does so Swain sees that as she is bad warrior
IIRC Ornn is the crafter of the Hammer of Orlon. He's the maker of a ton of Runeterran artifacts. In his story, it's told that when him and Volibear's battle kills the village of smiths at the foot of the mountain, he throws his hammer and another tool away. It's possible, but then again, the Hammer of Orlon doesn't really look like a hammer one might smith with. But Ornn does have a tendency to throw away "mundane" items to him which are immensely powerful to mortals.
These interactions are triggered by him collecting soul fragments, which probably contain memories, granting him access to a huge wealth of knowledge, especially considering the fact that he used to march into battle. That's a lot of souls, that's a lot of memories, that's a lot of knowledge. Combind the soul collecting powers with his ability to simply use his Ravens as scouts explains why he knows so much.
I'm 90% sure the taunt against the freljordian champions is referencing how the people of the freljord are fighting a pointless civil war and the wards that are chaining the watchers to the howling abyss are fading fast and they will return.
In Ornn'a lore, he was asked to build a bridge by three sisters to seal some sort of terrible monsters beneath. due to a miscommunication, the sisters put their own magic ward on top of the ward that came with the bridge -- and they weakned one another due to magical bugaboo.
no, necrit, swain can see so much further into the future since he still is even if he lost his title a master tactitian and is quite possibly the most kowledgable champ there is. he knows so much that he can make accurate predictions of how people and nations will act. He doesn't see the future he deduces it. Edit: The one against trynda might mean wards as in wards protecting them fromt he return of the frostborne... Edit2: Couldn't the one against Heca reference Morde aswell, Morde being the marching one and the ruined King being the one hidden in the mist Edit3: He knows because of the ravens, the eye ability is simply an ingame mechanic reflecting his knowledge, but in the splash and teaser it's made qutie clear that hestil has a whole host of demonic ravens i'd asume he's using them for recon, who knows the demon might be revealed to be the ravenqueen(recuring demon from various fantasy settings) or something like that which would make every raven on Runterra his eyes...
Here is my guess: garen also has magic abilities, see his ult. The marching king is mordekaiser. The "she fell in battle" quote for lux could simply be an ingame thingy
I hope Necrit revisits these voice lines so we can see what has changed and what has stayed the same. Something must have unraveled or made sense after all these years, right?
Swain's interaction with Kindred. He would be referring to the Black Rose. He's in a hegemonic competition with them over Noxus. He don't like Leblanc and her buddies.
Also I think Swain's first line for Katarina might be hinting that her father, Marcus, asked her to kill Swain. Perhaps he went missing shortly after, which is why she blames Swain for her dad's disappearance/death.

honestly the Garen quote makes no sense if it is related to galio or petricite because he says nothing like it to J4 or Xin. The reason that I think he says it is because Garen has magic within him just like his sister giving him strength like the ability to see when people break pacts or when a villain has done certain horrible actions, would explain his light sword finisher in the cinematic and ability to heal quicker than other individuals like in lux's story about the tomb.
Roe great theory you have there good sir
Yeah, this. It seems like Necrit got the Garen quote completely wrong. It makes so much more sense to talk about the innate magic that Garen and his bloodline carries.
Also his ult that summons a giant sword from the sky that deals magic damage
Roe This made me think. I think Garen would feel severe pain when exposed to petricite just like Lux. He would have to power through the agony.

The Camille and "C" quote is actually more tied to Caitlyn, who was after a criminal called "C"
Yeah that's what I was thinking. I havent read their lores yet, but the first thing I thought was, "Wait... Caitlyn is Camille's grand-niece? tf?"
If Caitlin is the one chasing C Then it could be Camille secretly.
Plot twist they are all C....🙀
For Camille, I thought that it was hinting that Camille was the C in Caitlyn’s lore. And that Caitlyn is Camille”s grandniece
EDIT: I also just found out that Camille has a quote for Caitlyn that further confirms this, “Don’t go looking for what you don’t want to find”
I had the same thought. I was a little disappointed that Necrit never considered this possibility.
tÍ find this more likely too
Ya thought the same.
.... oh shit
I was saying that theory on his streams but he always denied them
But the shop keeper in ARAM tells ashe the bow is averosa's.
why would some random shop keeper know this?
Because its Gregor, His soul was bounded their back when Avarosa was alive.
"I am Gregor, the eternal guardian of the Howling Abyss! Avarosa herself killed me; it was a great honor. She bound my spirit here, so I can sound the horn if the Watchers return."
OHH that shop keeper.
I need to play more howling abyss
nice observation man forgot about that guy
meanwhile
Rifts shop is a bloody walrus.........
Keep in mind that Greyor exclaims and asks "is that...avarosa's bow!?"
It's not a straight up confirmations.
Wards fade? Wards are another word for seal.... Like seals keeping the watchers at bay?
xDoomfirex exactly, I'm surprised he just shrugged it off. I mean we have Lissandra and her masters
Aye. They are unaware of the real threats that are blooming.
Seriously its a direct mention to the final ward that is keeping the frozen watcher in.
@@CrimWorld9 The irony is Lissandra's plan worked the world is strong enough now to deal with another incursion. Especially with Atreus/Diana/Leona on runtera
A funny thing about the hammer of orion, when sylas steals her ult he says : "I wonder, is this hammer meant for me?"
It would be funny if he was really the "hero" of demacia
it *does* fit his kit better than poppy, maybe even better than his actual ult
I'd like to find out Kassadin's daughter became reksai.
(I know its Kai'Sa, Stop telling me that. The comment is from before Kai'sa was revealed.)
Ellis NiRoCo I had the same thought as well 😁
Nigga what? Are you high
Ellis NiRoCo I don't think so, if I remember correctly RekSai lore, she was a monster in Shurima legends for centuries, I don't think Kass is that old, is he?
Vel koz is kassa"s daughter
last i remember about kassa's daughter is malzahar sacrificing her idk after that but yeah xer'sai are a thing
@Adika Garen ult is pure magic his Q or E are physical
Isn't it kayles magic that he casts?
We've never seen any evidence to support that, though I suppose it's possible...?
It does however appear far more likely that Garen carries around a sword fuelled with the magic of his fallen enemies, which he unleashes with his R
But I guess we'll have to wait for Riot to make Garen's are cannon
'Are' in last paragraph was meant to be R... soz
''a king remains in the mist and another marches'' swain could also talk about the ruined king within the mist of the shadow isles and mordekaise who marches on the shadow isle to gather souls for a possible siege of noxus
i was thinking that
Well, since it’s for Shadow Isles characters generally I think he’s commenting on the Ruined King’s lack of action compared to the other spirits.
And tada! They are literally the same thing!
.
I bet on all WW and Jinx skins that Swain's interaction with Jinx is a little spoiler for Arcane
After watching arcane, it's absolutely amazing how close you were with your theories. Great thinking

Where can I find the second channel? Or it's patreon releted stuff?
Necrit The new Void champ might be Kassadin's daughter, a lot of things pointed to that
That moment when you're right lol
I think the bilge water quote ties in with nautilis. Idk exactly how, but whatever corrupted him has a bigger tie in now.
I think the Freljordian quote means that as they fight among themselves, the wards, which I think means the howling abyss, weakens. Remember, Lissandra enchanted it, which causes it to weaken, and eventually break. I think it will break soon, and there could be an event for it. This could be really cool
He feels like the real vladimir.
True, When i talk about the new Swain with my friends i always mention him as "The new Vladimir"
i think vlad should get a lore update as well, i mean he's quite solid, he's a sadist who likes people's blood but there must be more to it than that.
The Vlad we deserved, but not the one Rito gave us ;(
Vladimir Putin
@@watcoh Vladimir Pun-tin ;)

But now its all about the demon, so swain confirms that its no longer a thing :)
good one
Or could be that the demon has vastayan relation, since it's a crow and stuff...

Taric has an interaction with Ashe “that bow belongs in the stars” or something like that so maybe Ashe’s bow isn’t from runeterra
Cosmic queen ashe
and now they relased kai'sa, to "fulfill" the kassadin's daughter theory XD
Youre wrong about tryndamere...its not a taunt to barbarians its a taunt to freljordians... When he says "they squabble as the winds howl" hes refering to Freljordians being in petty fights while lissandra is summoning the watchers and thats why the winds "howl"... Meaning lissandra is making progress... Lissandra is also causing the wards to fade so no one notices their early arrival...
RoccoBuzz I think you're right
Blub Blub That was a discussion in the community a few days ago and Im very VERY invested in the freljord :)
I'd love an updated version of this! Please make one😻
Oblivion Pan That still might be Jinx. Ekko and the crew inside he is are seldomly confronting against gangsters (like he does in his cinematic)
I still believe its jinx, it just makes so much sense
This man guessed jinx's story right 3 yrs before it was revealed from a couple voice lines. Applause.
His passive is what gives him those visions. He's literally taking a piece of your soul when he does it so it makes sense he knows these things about ppl.
Seems Swain knew arcane was coming out before all of us
i had thought when he said "a king remains in the mist and another marches" he was speaking of mordekaiser waiting in the black mist. kind of referencing the coming darkness from his lore update. and also at the end, the "far worse" thing waiting to take noxus, could indeed be mordekaiser reclaiming his kingdom.
The king that remains in the mist is The Ruined King. The Marching King is Mordekaiser who will be coming for the Immortal Bastion maybe
congratulations! Now u know u r a good detective :3
Holy hell, they teased Viego years ago. What's underneath the Black Mist but the source of the Mist itself.
No its alot simpler.
When he collects a piece of their soul he can see their memory. Thus he knows what they know
(Edit) and I'm basing this off of the fact when he does this to himself he says, "I already knew that"
Anime Outlands souls dont contain memories.
There isn't much proof against that and with how souls are interpreted as something made up of mind and body I wouldn't doubt that they contain memories.
you are right, he has a quote saying "When their lifes flashes before their eyes, so doed their secrets"
and i bet that the whisper sound you hear when he collect a soul is the secrets. you know, whisper, secrets
God dang it I was going to comment that... well played sir
It's very interesting watching Swain's interaction in general because it shows how far ahead they had things planned out. For example, Jinx (Arcane), Kassadin's daughter (Kai'sa), Lux + Karen (Sylas).
Maybe he refers as the king in the mist to the Ruined King and the one who marches to Mordekaiser
Noir Anzak yeah that would make sense. Snice the mad King is the cause of the mist and reason for mord escape is the mad King.
I died when he said "thats why kassadin looks like boot leg darth vader"
Most of the information from this video appears only when Swain takes in a "Soul Fragment" from another champion. So I would think that he does not so much see everything that is going on as he gets glimpses into the lives of others when he "consumes" parts of their souls.
This video needs revisiting
Or MAYBE Garen possesses untapped magic potential but isn't aware of it unlike his sister, which is why he can summon a giant sword of glowing light out of the sky
17:13 Hearing this now, i realise that the "something far worse" is referencing Mordekaiser.
actually, Riot has already answered to "how can he knows so much things about champions ?" -----> Quote from official website : Having conquered a demon of secrets, Swain can send extensions of his will in the form of ravens across Runeterra, gathering memories from the dead. Some of these whispers haunt him, giving him glimpses of a dark future. This makes Swain a great strategist, but it’s not just because his wisdom stat is higher.
Came back to this because I love Swain, and didn't realize how much more enthusiastic you sound 1 year later
When Swains says: ''the Wards weaken'' he means the Wards that hold off the Frozen Watchers who lie beneath the Howling Abyss.
The amount of effort youve put in this video is massive, thank you for that mate
10:00 Couldn't this hint that Garen too has some magical power similiar to Lux's, but because he's wearing his aromr he dosen't notice his power?
If in a future story we learn that garen's ult is cannon i'll kms
Maybe he is actually wearing his armor intently to seal his own magic? Given that they are trying not to use magic.
See i thought thats what swain was referencing was Garen's ult since it deals magic damage.
Lu Bue Tbh he probably has some magic powers, since his sister is a full on light mage and magic tends to run in familes. Demacia is probably even built fully with magic however the Demacian people deny it.
that would be pretty cool.
Thank you
He sees people mindlesly seeking power, that's why he divided Noxus rule into three people which one of them is actually Darius
This... When he talked about galio and the armor I was like ''wtf this nigga can summon a giant sword that deals magic damage!''
@@findout-YGO That only happens in game, but not in the actual lore
Just read the Lux comic. Sylas was somehow able to steal magic from nowhere when he was fighting garen; so either Garen has magic (i would say a regeneration and absorption/redirection of magic), or he absorbed ot from the petricite. I would prefer the Garen magic thing though
Garen’s ult uses the power of the divine
@@The_One_Of_Moisture Yeah, that can be it too. Kayle's power, but it still seems odd to me that no other demacian champ uses it; if it is infused in certain weapons, or can be infused, then I do not see why they would not put it in xin zhao spear or Quinn crossbow. Perhaps garen power is redirection of magic or he is the only one who can use Kayle's power, because he has some affinity for magic ( btw having affinity for magic does not mean you have magic).
I love Swain's interaction with a sol and Kassadin
He teased a new champion (Kai'sa) and 2 reworks (Kayle and Morgana)
In my opinion the garen quote explains his ultimate not hus armor...
and his passive.
his ultimate and passive aren't cannon in lore
Thats right, but it still makes sense and could be established in the future.
In my loading screen for a match, there stoud: "Nocturen once haunted an Demacian City".
It said in his preview that Swain takes fragments of his enemies souls( his passive). When he collects a soul fragment he also gets memories from the persons soul. (Quotes: their whispers itch at the back of my mind. What have the Ravens brought me?)
now the black mist interaction was Viego. what a freaking foreshadowing.
EricThexD which is why Gallo had secrets, he doesn’t know them
If he sees from their point of view then he wouldn't be so sure about Ashe and the bow, would he?
He looks like Lucious Malfoy
Yeah, I didn't notice that!
he's like a mix of luscious malfoy and tywin lannister
Swain could know about all these details about champions because the ability used gives him "soul fragments." Maybe these soul fragments give him a piece of their memory, like how ahri would take life essence or memories from her victims.
Exactly, it's why when he uses it on himself, he says, "I already knew that."
The new Swain is my new imaginary best friend, I talk to myself a lot
The interaction of swain to Jinx & Warwick gets me hype when i remember that Riot will release Arcane animated series.
Riot confirmed that Swain's ravens can read the memories of the dead and maybe of the alive too
The new Swain artwork gives me Lucius Malfoy vibes.
the Freljord quote can be a reference to the 3 sisters fight while the wards holding back the watchers are fading which is important
i think the bilgewater quote is a hint at the nami comic with the voidrift in the ocean
His ability to reap parts of a person's soul allows him to obtain information about that person.
I thought the Garen interaction was referring to his ult. In game Garen has magical powers, that he does not have in lore.
I'm 90% sure the taunt against the freljordian champions is referencing how the people of the freljord are fighting a pointless civil war and the wards that are chaining the watchers to the howling abyss are fading fast and they will return.
austin prince thisb can be an rwally cool lore-based event like thay did with bilgewater back on the day.
Edit2: Couldn't the one against Heca reference Morde aswell, Morde being the marching one and the ruined King being the one hidden in the mist
Edit3: He knows because of the ravens, the eye ability is simply an ingame mechanic reflecting his knowledge, but in the splash and teaser it's made qutie clear that hestil has a whole host of demonic ravens i'd asume he's using them for recon, who knows the demon might be revealed to be the ravenqueen(recuring demon from various fantasy settings) or something like that which would make every raven on Runterra his eyes...
FireSnake He knows the same way Bran in GoT (Game of Thrones knows), his ravens tell him.
i know, i already metioned the ravens in my post :D
FireSnake no there are two kings in the lost isles karthus and Mordekaiser
Watching this in April, smiling about the things you said about Kai'Sa
When swain rips soul fragments he gains info about that person. Something like reading mind.
I love your videos Necrit, the way you keep us entertained AND fill us with information at the same time is what makes you unique, thanks
I think that the other king that is marching in the mist would be mordekaiser
11:10 hits different now that Arcane is out.
Here is my guess: garen also has magic abilities, see his ult. The marching king is mordekaiser. The "she fell in battle" quote for lux could simply be an ingame thingy
Nah, i do´nt think so he does´nt say it when she dies.
11:10 Right here, Arcane fans, this is where Swain spoiled episode 3
