- Watch live coverage as SpaceX launches a Falcon 9 rocket with 21 satellites for Elon Musk's Starlink internet service. Liftoff from Launch Complex 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center is scheduled for 10:27 a.m. EST (1527 UTC) on Wednesday, January 8. The first-stage booster, making its 3rd flight, will land on SpaceX's drone ship 'A Shortfall of Gravitas', stationed in the Atlantic Ocean, a little more than eight minutes after leaving the launch pad.
The mission, designated Starlink 12-11, will take a south-easterly trajectory on departure from Florida's Space Coast. The 21 satellites include 13 capable of direct to cellphone services.
Commentary by Spaceflight Now's Will Robinson-Smith will be provided starting approximately an hour prior to liftoff.

My family and I had the privilege of seeing this launch in person. It was honestly one of the most amazing sites I ever seen.
I'm 74 years old. I seen the old Saturn rockets taking man to the Moon but this really is something to see. I never thought we ever land a rocket on a pad. Never in my life. Wow
I'm 70 and feel exactly the same way. So much has gone from Sci-fi to reality in my lifetime.
Mc Donnell Douglas did testing on vertical landing back just before Boeing bought that company Mc Donnell Douglas had that capability..
Wow would love to see one of those go up. Had to be incredible. Seen the Falcon 9 but definitely going to see StarShip.
It's pretty amazing to see
This just never gets old!
Another stunning launch! NaNu NaNu 🖖
That was funny
Elons launched a rocket but Starmer won’t launch an enquiry.😂
What is boring, when you have SpaceX 🖖🖖🖖🇦🇺
For sure never gets old
@MaryEllenSturdevant looks like Space X works on the idea make things as safe as can be
Thank you for posting the replay.
Seems like they launch a rocket every other day now.
They do practically. I think they made over 100 launches in 24 meaning one every 3 days.
Last year alone they launched more than shuttle did in the 30 years of its existence!😮
Their operational pace puts NASA to shame. No one can move material into orbit as fast as SpaceX can. They will be the pack mules that get the permanent moon base built, and SpaceX astronauts will beat NASA to mars
I wonder why they say "entry" instead of "re-entry". The 1st stage is well above the Karman line when it begins to descend.

Did I miss the release of the “satellites”? What about launching the “satellites” into “space”?
I did a look with Google Earth yesterday at where Sea Launch use to be and SpaceX now has the site. The image shows "Of course I still Love you" docked pier side with a booster on it. Also a booster laying flat on the ground and 3 payload fairing . One looks to be full of dirt and weeds.
Good evening. Watching from N.Y. God bless safe trip
Beautiful
It was live
It’s only going 30,000 miles an hour amazing engineering to say the least

That's crazy. There's some heavy winds there today

You are so right. This is buffoonery! Why no front facing camera showing space entry? Why did it immediately turn east bound towards the ocean rather than vertically into space???
It’s fake nonsense. Elon is one of the lying swindlers!!!
We’re in an enclosed environment, we cannot leave! Very glad to see your post!
Except these rockets...every couple of days...you really are a clown
🤦♂️🤦♂️
