Your video was not lame at all! You do an awesome job with the videos and you are very helpful. I appreciate you taking the time to explain everything to us because many of us have no idea what is involved in selling either online or in a store. Your baby is adorable and you being with him and not putting him in a daycare all day while you work is the best! Being a mom and being there with them is the most important job you could ever have! ❤️
Yes, local sales and online sales are meant to be different. Congrats on the $120 sale! I feel that local people get to pay less also because they drive to the store, go in and give it a chance, take their merchandise home themselves, etc. And online you have to deal with fees from etsy, fees from your paypal, shipping fees, shipping expenses, handling expenses, and some fees are even up front and they run for months and months so I get it 100%
@@markfarr4889 we don’t have anything that intricate yet even though we should. I really just go over from the day on what sold in store and then remove from the online platforms! Its mostly just our breakables that are listed online!
And yea we try to get very nice stuff so we have tons of antique stuff and also thrift stuff. Youll get more thrift stuff from storage auctions. But then we also do other auctions/ estate sale where we pick items individually, and thats where we get our nicer things lol
The higher online price is great but if I were the buyer online and saw this I'd be pi$$d that it was priced at 45$ in your store but 125 online. Knowing that would I buy online from Etsy.? hmm..
There is alott that goes into this price difference. Starting with the fact that our small town only has a few thousand people here, vs online there are millions of people. Which in return makes it alot harder to sell things in our town. Our in person store cost me $3500 a month after bills and rent. So we have to sell stuff to make that payment, Im not doing this for free so im not going to sell it for $45 online. When it sells online for $125. The small population of people in our town will get a better deal because bills have to be paid. Things sell very well online for us, Vs the store.

@@NoStressMom THIS! Exactly, thanks for watching 😊
how to you keep track of whats listed online and in store? Do you have indicator on tag telling you to remove online if sold at store?

And then vise versa, if it sells online we will take the items off the shelf. Day to day
Since you curate what you acquire to sell in the store, it begs the question of where's the line between being a thrift store and being a boutique.
@@JasonKingKong thats a good point! But not all of it is curated, a lot of the inventory comes from storage units. Cant really curate that! Lol
What town are u located. I love to thrift & would like to check out your store.
New subscriber. Not lame, I enjoyed it!😊
@@dianeforsman2179 the store is located in northern michigan you can msg me also! Ill share more information
