Maybe if he didn’t fuck about off the field with girls and clothes and playing warzone and using social media so much he’d score more goals. Ball comes first
Ben Hardcastle did you watch the video? He has the responsibility of his sister to look after, his dying mother, growing apart from his teammates like Rashford and more, and struggling with anxiety. I think football comes before video games and all that but he should still try and do the things he enjoys

He should’ve been able to speak up but trolls are horrific . Well done Jesse 💜 true fans don’t judge ❤️❤️
To be fair I've always thought the Lingard jokes were a laugh but he generally was great at the world cup. Hopefully people lay off for a while and he'll probably end up doing alright in the premier league wherever he plays.
She's English, she was born and raised in Bristol, and attended school there ..... her mum is Swedish, her dad is Somalian. ..... I have seen on a site somewhere that she likes football, and supports Bristol Rovers and West Ham .. she was also backing England whilst wearing an England shirt on that Crouchy Euros show.
I've seen Jesse getting ripped into via social media quite a lot in recent months. I think it's quite unfair on him considering his personal difficulties he's spoke about and potentially more that he may not have publicly. You can never know for sure what a person is going through, something to keep in mind.
So what? He’s deserved it. He’s been awful. People haven’t ripped him for his personal life, they’ve ripped him because he’s been terrible. In no other job would you get the treatment like they do in football.
Deep Zepp spot on. Daniel James lost his father but we don't see him doing this interview asking for sympathy. Lingard is like a dog barking at every interview to hide his awful season and stats, what kind of attacking player score 1 goal and 0 assist in the league
lmao he's a professional footballer, who's on £100,000 + per week, it comes with the territory that you will be scrutinised if you do not play well which has been the case for him for over a year, now he's trying to play the mental health card. If he couldn't hack the criticism he should of got himself a normal job. Not sure why people play the pity party for him or any celebs when in reality, if you were struggling and asked them for money they wouldn't care.
For sure. He's not lean anymore, u cud see it from the puffiness in the face (which could come from poor diet and stress) and then his face looks like it's carrying the weight of stress/responsibility vs the innocent lightness it had before
Mental health is a big challenge these days. I know as men we don’t talk a lot and keep stuff bottled up inside but if you need to talk, reach out to people who are around you and clear your mind. You are not alone. Stay strong 👊😃 you got this.
Wow this was insightful and pretty lovely video. I figured over the season the criticism he was getting as unnecessary and extreme. underperforming was never a true reflection of the quality of a player and person he is. Really appreciate this video because it also feels very relatable. thank you
Being an Arsenal supporter you could say one had a certain dislike towards Jesse Lingard "solely from a footballing rivalry perspective" I must say, as he's bantered my beloved Arsenal FC so many times over the years lol, but in this interview, he came across as a true stand-up guy. But real talk, what I will say is, I obviously don't know him personally but in this interview, we get to see/hear him open up about the struggles he's been facing in his private life, which would clearly explain his dip in form on the pitch in recent times. There is this argument that many, aim towards the rich & famous, which is "what does he/she have to be stressed, depressed or have anxiety about" "they've got all that money & live lavish lives" and that may indeed be the case for most celebs, in that "they do have lots of money & live fanciful lives" but that does not take away from the fact that they are human & are also susceptible to the same pressures & challenges that life may bring your way, such as tragedy, loss, grief, drug/alcohol addiction of a loved one or in some cases, the celebrity themself? We have also to mention the stigma attached to "mental health" especially from a "man's" perspective, as men are "not meant to feel any emotion or show weakness, of any sort, which forces us to bottle things up & it's this suppressed emotion that can lead to all sorts if unaddressed!!! So I've had my own issues with mental health & As a man of West African descent, God forbid you to show weakness or emotion as this is simply "not done" in my culture... But with that said though, attitudes are definitely changing with the generational change & there is a lot more awareness about mental health these days "more than there ever before" which is definitely a positive thing. It is also great that those in the public eye, like "Jesse & Maya" along with the many other celebs who have been coming out to vocalise their own struggles recently, so more power to that movement for sure!!! And like Maya, I'm also one for the positivity quotes, just like the "John Lennon" one she quoted at the end. “We must accept finite disappointment, but we must never lose infinite hope.” - Martin Luther King, Jr.
Hope all is good and getting better , my son looks up to you as a inspiration , your a fantastic player and I take my hat off to you for talking about this out in the open your the man can’t wait to see you back playing for England with some more dance moves once you’ve scored come on 👍👍👍👍 🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴
