The Mini 4 Pro is definitely a low light performer. Great flying and control and very tastefully edited 👍. So, you recorded at 60 fps - I assume all in manual. How does the 'Night Mode' performance compare?
it's not bad for a small sensor but low light isnt its strong point. the footage looks a bit soft here but can improve it if add fine & mid detail in post or even texture effect. best to shoot in twilight where there's still ambient light in the sky. the mavic 3 can do night really well though with almost a 1 inch sensor.
Thanks mate,I don’t use night mode.this is just raw 60fps HDR,I heard night mode is only 30fps which is too jerky for my low flying, all in manual in sport mode I fly
@@denaco watch it on a 60 inch oled in HDR and you’ll change your opinion,I was going for the darkness with just the lights, this isn’t in night mode by the way it’s just raw 60fps HDR which I prefer,of course when it’s lighter the footage is better but that wasn’t what I was going for in this video
@@hellzpeacekeeper I watched it on 85" HDR ( not OLED) and I was massively impressed. Actively trying to sell my Mini 2 and upgrade to the 4 Pro and this video has really given me confidence that this is the right decision.
Thanks a lot,the wind was on the limit here this night,I do trust it but I went out with my mini 3 pro once before and it uncontrollably blew away one time in extreme weather and almost crash landed so I know where the limit is myself, around 20 mph winds is the max in my opinion
@@hellzpeacekeeper Our Mini2 blew away and drained the battery trying to push it back home.. Now I'm careful and as soon as the drone starts to move without me controlling, I know it's pushing limits. Love the night shots..
@@relaxingtravel-LosAngeles that’s good though that’s just what you needed,I was a bit wreckless with the wind until that happened, now I know my limits as do you,I was well on my way to losing a drone before it almost blew away to warn me 😂
Beautiful pro max footage. Careful there over water it can be risky flying this low specially at night . Good to see o cops looking for you for once. Beautiful flight . What happened to mini 3 pro ?
Thanks mate,I’m not fussed if I lose the drone,as you’ll see in the majority of my videos I’m always near the water, flown over 150km’s now and not fallen out of the sky yet but I know it can happen cheers,I sold my old one
@@hellzpeacekeeper I fly over water too but not as close as you. I live on south coast so over 90% of my flights are over water but sea is lot more choppy and it’s tricky to be low. Happy flying .
Hiya mate another great video, i have the mini 4 pro as well but i dont know how to select HDR when recording do you just leave it on normal 4k 60fps or HLG 4k60fps? Keep up the content
It's just not fair that you have all this cool stuff to video. In Texas all I have are cows and the occasional hill. I guess that's why I stick with motors for my vids.
😂 trust me you can make a video out of anything,I find that you just have to be up there flying and looking around and as long as you have enough batteries to stay in the air something always happens worth filming in the end, yeah these are planned trips but so many times in my other videos it’s a case of just being up there in the right place at the right time
@hellzpeacekeeper Don't believe everything people tell you. You can buy DJI drones everywhere here, every hobby store has 9 choices of them on the shelf. 😁 Our rules for drones are less restricted than most countries. You take an easy test, pay a $5 registration fee, stay away from airports, stay under 400 feet, and don't fly over events with crowds, and you are good to go.
Amazing footage and flying skills. I know u said u film at 60 FPS full auto, what ISO do u use please? the footage holds up great. What are your thoughts on D-Log at night too? Just subscribed BTW, great work, love it👍.
Hi mate,I don’t touch the iso either,I don’t touch anything, the camera software is very good at doing everything for you, when your flying your flying around and turning and different light is going into the camera lense at different angles and times, just let the software do its job on the fly like it’s supposed to be doing mate,it’s always worked for me
Thanks mate.you need a basic operator license and operator ID and a sticker with your ID on the drone because it has a camera but it’s only a basic online test that costs £10
Still Loving your work😃 It's your fault! I have just ordered a drone (Mini 4 pro) off the back of your vids. Hope I don't loose it . I have never had one before.
😂 mate they practically fly themselves you’ll love it,I’ve flown over 200km’s now and never once did my mini 3 or 4 fall out of the sky so I think you’ll be ok,nice one
People think the whole of London is flight restricted but if you look into it more there’s small pockets you can fly a tiny drone that are height restricted and geofenced
@@uxphil I use drone assist too but I mainly use a website called no fly drones which shows you the complete red zones in the UK where you can’t fly at all, also if you get to a place your not allowed to fly the DJI doesn’t let you take off anyway like it’s doesn’t west of tower bridge as that’s a red zone, east it lets you because it’s ok there and it’s height restricted automatically for the helicopter routes
Thanks mate,no night mode no filters,I don’t believe in them especially as this drone is full HDR,just fly the drone in 4K 60fps on auto camera settings and this is what you’ll get
@@hellzpeacekeeperI use filters during the day to take some reflection from water etc and to dampen the sun's light too, I find them handy. I have the mini 3 pro so will test this 4k 60fps down at the port at night and see how I get on. Thanks!

Congratulations, beyond the fabulous place, your shots are cinematic. Aside from the settings you have already announced, how do you operate in post production during editing? Do you record in D-Log M and then use LUTs?
Thanks mate,I literally filmed in 4K 60fps standard settings out of the box,put the clips in Final Cut Pro on iPad and exported them in HDR.this is all raw untouched footage
@@hellzpeacekeeper Thanks. If you directly transfer footage to iphone/ipad and play the raw clip, does it show as HDR? for me it doesn't and I am recording in 4k 60
@@hellzpeacekeeperI see. All this time I’ve been using LiteCut and when I export it in 4K and upload to UA-cam it only shows up as 1080p without HDR. I’ll have to try out Final Cut Pro then, thanks for checking.
@@Az__ no problem, one more important thing is when you’ve finished and it’s showing in HDR when you watch it,upload it to UA-cam and set it to publish the video at least 24 hrs later otherwise sometime it takes hours before it can be watched in HDR and people will see the video when it’s still not looking how it should,it seems to take hours and hours after the normal processing is done for the final HDR bit to be processed
Apparently night mode is only 30 fps but I don’t use nothing, this is raw 60fps HDR as I think it looks amazing anyway if your watching it on a HDR compatible device
How come, this really is just raw footage, just make sure the camera is on auto and let the drone do everything, don’t use night mode either.60fps 2160p 👍
I wish I knew what I was doing wrong….I use my 4 with the correct settings then it seems like when I dump it to YT, it gets dumbed down to average resolution. Is there a trick to getting the quality to stay put when downloading to UA-cam?
UA-cam is only bad for HDR for.i upload a 4K video and it takes about 70 minutes before it’s processed in 4K but then it takes about 2-3 days for the HDR to appear on the video which is terrible slow,I upload videos and set them to publish in 3 days so they stay private and I check the video every day and once the HDR appears then I publish it,usually about 2 day wait,if your not bothered about HDR just post yours and set them to publish the next day and they should be the full quality mate
How’s does it feel to be the only negative comment, everyone else loves the music and footage on both videos hence over 300 new subs on a small channel and the videos being shared around the world! Where’s the plot 😂😂😂 its amateur footage by an amateur pilot using a toy ya muppet, who cares it’s a UA-cam video for fun, this channel and everything about it is clearly not for you now off you pop back under the rock you crawled out from
I don’t care,I’m only an amateur enjoying myself, this is what I personally like to see because I’m a gamer,I like pin sharp 4K crystal clear images on my Sony A95K TV,I’m not going for cinematic look
@@hellzpeacekeeper fair. But 24 or more specifically 23.976 fps is the cinematic look. Geniuses figured this stuff out. That 1st shot through the courtyard and gazebos would look a whole lot better shot at 23.976. Higher framerates are traditionally used for slow motion or for video games.
@@GerryM. nice one mate that’s how you do it
Speechless, jaw-dropping, subscribed! 🔥👏🏻
Thanks so much,very kind words
how much do you trust the mini 4 w some wind? you try to stay under 100M? you are great pilot.
@@haroonvlogs5437 you too mate, thanks for your kind words
Hiya mate another great video, i have the mini 4 pro as well but i dont know how to select HDR when recording do you just leave it on normal 4k 60fps or HLG 4k60fps? Keep up the content
Thanks mate,normal 4K 60 fps I use,anything above 30fps is automatically recorded in HDR
It's just not fair that you have all this cool stuff to video. In Texas all I have are cows and the occasional hill. I guess that's why I stick with motors for my vids.
😂 trust me you can make a video out of anything,I find that you just have to be up there flying and looking around and as long as you have enough batteries to stay in the air something always happens worth filming in the end, yeah these are planned trips but so many times in my other videos it’s a case of just being up there in the right place at the right time
@@hellzpeacekeeper All the good spots to fly around here are restricted airspace. All we have left is cows and hundreds of miles of boring open space.
@@GuysPlayingWithTools great country though, someone told me all dji drones are banned in America,is that not true?
@hellzpeacekeeper Don't believe everything people tell you. You can buy DJI drones everywhere here, every hobby store has 9 choices of them on the shelf. 😁
Our rules for drones are less restricted than most countries. You take an easy test, pay a $5 registration fee, stay away from airports, stay under 400 feet, and don't fly over events with crowds, and you are good to go.
@@GuysPlayingWithTools yeah good stuff,I thought that can’t be true
Amazing footage and flying skills.
I know u said u film at 60 FPS full auto, what ISO do u use please? the footage holds up great. What are your thoughts on D-Log at night too?
Just subscribed BTW, great work, love it👍.
Hi mate,I don’t touch the iso either,I don’t touch anything, the camera software is very good at doing everything for you, when your flying your flying around and turning and different light is going into the camera lense at different angles and times, just let the software do its job on the fly like it’s supposed to be doing mate,it’s always worked for me
@hellzpeacekeeper Really appreciate the answer, thanks a lot, I'll try it out tomorrow 👍
@@Pdogpaz no problem,good luck mate
Great video! You mean you had HLG profile
Cheers mate just standard 60fps HDR out of the box so whatever it’s set to without doing anything, this was only my second flight
Beautiful video. Did you need a license to film in the UK?
Thanks mate.you need a basic operator license and operator ID and a sticker with your ID on the drone because it has a camera but it’s only a basic online test that costs £10
good job circling the boat. Did you use the automated circling feature or did you actually pilot it that smoothly??
Thanks mate,I prefer to do everything manually in sports mode no sensors
@@hellzpeacekeeper Did you turn down some of the turning speed settings?
@@MaverickDroneMedia I just use it as it came out of the box mate, haven’t touched any settings like that
Awesome footage, are you doing any post production besides scene editting before you upload or is this all raw?
Thanks mate,completely raw HDR

just q question doesnt mention anyting else. considering me as a tourist, we can fly drone over tower bridge ?
Only the under 250 gram one in a small pocket on the east side of the bridge like I am,it is a small pocket and it’s height restricted
How did you get around the flight restriction zone in central London?
Or can you unlock on the spot as an authorisation zone?
People think the whole of London is flight restricted but if you look into it more there’s small pockets you can fly a tiny drone that are height restricted and geofenced
Thanks for that! From the drone assist map it’s not quite clear where those pockets are
Is there a better map that I can check on?
@@uxphil I use drone assist too but I mainly use a website called no fly drones which shows you the complete red zones in the UK where you can’t fly at all, also if you get to a place your not allowed to fly the DJI doesn’t let you take off anyway like it’s doesn’t west of tower bridge as that’s a red zone, east it lets you because it’s ok there and it’s height restricted automatically for the helicopter routes
Perfect video, what camera settings did you have on the mini 4 pro?
Thanks mate, just 60 fps 4K is all I ever use,I let the drone software do everything else itself as it’s very capable as you can see
Really lovely footage. Can I ask, did you use any filters or just the night time mode? Thanks.
Thanks!
@@whatsnottohike if your using a mini 3 you have to use 30fps to get the HDR on that one, here’s a HDR night video I made with that drone ua-cam.com/video/PwII6mv8yms/v-deo.htmlsi=f91xKY8NGbyi6GxZ
gorgeous! Do you fly it manually or use some mini's flight modes?
Thanks so much, fully manual in sports mode with no sensors on
Congratulations, beyond the fabulous place, your shots are cinematic.
Is it legal to fly a drone (even below 250 grams) in central London?
It is in certain spots mate
Yeah, near Canary Wharf is City Airport restriction zone. Your flight was illegal I reckon
Which Sd card arr you using? Amazing video
Lexar 256gb A1 SDXC V30
incredible video, congratulations! a question . Do the anti-collision sensors also work at night? or they are disabled for this drone
Thanks bro,I have them all switched off because I use sports mode
THEY DON’T!
@@nickstevens6398 they do work in low light,it depends how dark it is
Bro how did you got unlock zone from dji ?
Would you please tell
It’s not locked here you can fly
Amazing shots. How do you record in HDR? Is it in auto mode or pro? and what software did you use to edit? Thanks
Thanks mate,Just record above 30FPS and it’s automatically HDR,I use Final Cut Pro on iPad Pro
@@hellzpeacekeeper Thanks. If you directly transfer footage to iphone/ipad and play the raw clip, does it show as HDR? for me it doesn't and I am recording in 4k 60
@@Az__ I think it doesn’t show the hdr logo in playback until I put it through Final Cut Pro but it looks like it’s playing in HDR still to me
@@hellzpeacekeeperI see.

Out of interest did you shoot at 69fps so you could slow parts down? Is a lower frame rate even better light performance?
Yeah I always use 60 fps as I do alot of low flying and like the smoothness of the video
Apparently night mode is only 30 fps but I don’t use nothing, this is raw 60fps HDR as I think it looks amazing anyway if your watching it on a HDR compatible device
@@hellzpeacekeeper oh ok that’s great to know
I've been playing with my mini 4 and can't get anything like this out of it.
@@hellzpeacekeeper thank you!!!! You are the only person to ever answer that question.

The music is way overkill for showing some camera samples. Where was the plot?
How’s does it feel to be the only negative comment, everyone else loves the music and footage on both videos hence over 300 new subs on a small channel and the videos being shared around the world! Where’s the plot 😂😂😂 its amateur footage by an amateur pilot using a toy ya muppet, who cares it’s a UA-cam video for fun, this channel and everything about it is clearly not for you now off you pop back under the rock you crawled out from

@@LeetKrew090 thanks bro,I wouldn’t usually bother but I made an exception this time 😂❤️
Shooting at 60 guarantees you don't have the cinematic look..
Higher numbers don't mean better!
I guarantee if you go back and shoot that spot again you will see what I mean.
@@hellzpeacekeeperalso, the fps doesn't affect your resolution.
Will be just as "pin sharp"
And if you arent going for a cinematic look? Maybe don't write "cinematic" in the title?
@@BOOSETO cinematic is just the collection of clips so it has to go in the title for people to find it,I have shot at 24 and used 30 quite a lot on my pro 3 but where I do a lot of low flying as you’ll see in most of my other videos anything under 60 is too stuttery as there’s not enough frames,I appreciate your feedback even if I disagree, these 2 London videos have over 17 thousand views in 2 weeks from a small channel that usually gets 300 per video in the same time and have been shared all over the world, most people love them and yesterday part 1 made drone video of the week on the drone show live,my analytics tell me 50 people from DJI .com themselves even watched it,trust me people like the way I do it,the channel is 4 months old and I’m almost earning from UA-cam 👍
